I see this as nothing but a way to distract the general public from the main thing. If it was truly a set up for Farouk they should have arrested him immediately after leaving Otedola's place with the money. I won't be surprised if its all a staged drama. I can imagine the two of them (Farouk and Otedola) sitting together and discussing how their plan is working out. I am still trying not to accept that Nigeria is a failed state as some people claim. |
Once you understand a woman it becomes very easy to please her. The difficult part of it however is understanding her. Am yet to see a living man (or even woman) that understands a woman though. Not sure about the dead, I only know about the living. |
@Fhemmmy, How easy is it to combine work and study in Canada as a family man? I hold a PRC but no regular job yet and would like to get a master's degree. Wish I can talk to u off NL. |
@ emareyo, Mudlogging is a good place to start your career in the oil field but it is not what you want to do for long. The pay is not near as fantastic as quoted by okeyz, especially in Nigeria. If you get a 100USD per day count yourself as one of the top paid. However, money is the least you should consider in starting a career. You need a space to put your foot on the career ladder first. As you climb higher you will get to where the money is. Drilling fluids (mud) engineering is also great - less job more money. I wish you the best. @ Okeyz, the only place you can get this quoted amount for a mud logger is probably in the eastern Canada. |
@ Fhemmmy: Yes, no wonder Nigeria was doing well Prior to Festac 77, when we spend so much worshiping idols . . . .I weep for the nation[quote author=Fhemmmy]On point!!! |
Are people saying that oil subsidy removal will disturb or discouragr oil bunkering in any way? I don't think so. People steal and smuggle crude oil more than they do PMS. Oil subsidy removal is a good step but I prefer a gradual removal like OBJ was stylishly doing to this. This one is killing as the masses are not prepared. |
I think Ilorin is the best city to raise a family in Nigeria. Its neat, very peaceful, the people are loving and accommodating. There is no crazy traffic. Kids wake up at 7am and are not late for school (school starts at 8am). You have enough time in the morning to enjoy breakfast with your family and also back on time to enjoy dinner with them. You have decent houses/apartments (very spacious ones) at a very affordable price/rent. Which educational level is not well represented in Ilorin? Primary schools, secondary, tertiary (uni, poly, school of nursing, CoEd, name it are all there with good standard and very affordable as well. The ladies are still relatively decent. Life is good in Ilorin and other smaller cities in Kwars State. |

At least the flood provided income for some. Drainage!!! ajirebi20:And do u need an engineer to tell you that this happened as a result of bad drainage? |
I agree with you that job is not all about money. Job satisfaction is equally important because it brings joy and happiness. Doing what you don't like, especially when it is a routine can lead to frustration. However, resigning might not be your best option, especially if you do not have other sources of income. But then life is all about risk. I have seen people who were in your shoes and resigned only to get a better one after few months and I have seen people who quit and bite fingers of regret. Weigh your options. I will advise you hang on a little more while you explore your other areas of interest in other companies, not necessarily MNC. |

You'd think that finding more than £10,000 in cash, in a bag next to a cash machine, and returning it to its rightful owners would be applauded. But for one man, all that it resulted in was a £300 fine, Source: http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/Man-fined-returning-10-000-yahoofinanceuk-3328382006.html I wonder if this is a crime Nigeria. What's your view? |
God bless this man. Wish others can emulate this. daroz: Ystranger:You wrong, it sounds Borno. Don't know what it is with people and ethnicity |
@ poster, I don't want to agree that its your Nigerian accent that is killing your opportunities. I believe your time has not come. I believe Obasanjo's accent is not better than yours yet he traveled the world, his accent didn't work against him. Have faith in yourself. Don't try to speak like a white man, you are not one. Just say whatever you want to say correctly and CLEARLY. All the best. |

What is your experience in your NNPC test centre? Down here in Ibadan, the people are not organised at all. Candidates are too many, probably more than the space provided for. Its 2pm and accreditation has not even started! Pls share your view/experience. Thanks |
