Nobody seems to be going to Stuttgart!
I'm already afraid.

Don’t be afraid. Stuttgart is a very nice and lively city but the cost of living there is quite high.

You don’t need to know people there before your acclimatize.

When I moved to Germany, I literally had no guide. I had to do everything by myself. I don’t know anyone from Africa but I had do extensive research about everything.
From my experience with family reunion union visa, I can give one or two tips:

1. When you move to Germany, quickly book an appointment with the ABH office to register you in your new city. When you’ve registered, then you will get your residence permit card after some weeks.

2. Go to Bürgerburö to register your marital status but you also need to translate your marriage certificate to German when you come here. It costs less than 50 Euro.

3. Once you get the necessary documents from ABH office, send your registration information to your landlord/landlady.

4. Go to health insurance office with all the documents you’ve received from both ABH and Bürgerbüro to get your Versichertenkarte. You should receive the card itself through your mailbox after 10 days but you can ask them for a letter Incase you want to visit the hospital before your card arrives.

5. With the documents you received from the ABH office, go to any of the Language schools around you to take assessment tests.

6. Go to job center/ Agentur für Arbeit to register with them. They will help you pay for the language class (if they access your partners income and find out it is not sufficient). If you don’t get the full payment, you can get Zuschüsse (Grant).

7. check out when admission to the language school opens and quickly apply. (You can stay for months without getting admission so the earlier you apply, the better).

8. Go to cjd office to get free career advice and they will also help you to process the Anerkennung (if you have a university degree from Nigeria, you will need this if you want a good job in line with your course of study but you might be asked to do Weiterbildung or Ausbildung) This is also needed Incase you want to do your masters or PhD.
Please make sure you come with your transcript!

9. After your A2, you should understand German, then you can apply for good jobs.

Best of luck!

Not to white worship or anything, German girls in my region though, are well proportioned, the closest you can get to being angelic but they are also manly or will I say "liberated" in attitude.
To be clear though, not all European women are like German women.....
For the men, they don't "toast" in most cases, it's the woman who walks up to the guy.
This is a tip for the girls...
If you are an African girl interested in dating, don't expect a typical German guy to walk up to you or "toast" you in a train or walk way, forget it, it will not happen, you will be the one to make the move, that's how it works.
It's easier for girls to date than guys but take this to the bank, you are still at the bottom of the dating scale, European women come first, then Asian Women (Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines, someone said because they have the body of preteen and teenage girls), then you. But if you look clean, exotic, slim, shapley and fit, your chances go up several notches.

This info is so accurate!

Good submission... Same reply I gave in the post below or above this one I quoted.

Yeah! The deek thing is a generalisation though. Some do have an average size for good measure... I do use Fitstar where we use same shower but it's quite international and really not a good scenario to measure Germans in isolation. Ooppss I never meant to go into a dick measuring contest, no puns intended.

For a guy that can braid hair....whats his chance will he have the chance of making some cash with it...or edge in. getting German gf??...although personally na either chioma or bunmi I go date!!!

You can make money with it if you know African people and because renting a shop is expensive, you might have to do it at home but (it is illegal because you don’t pay tax and tax evasion na serious offense).

If you really want a German girl who might fancy you, then join German evangelical church. Too many young oyibos Dey there but you have to be consistent in going to church.

After the service, join them at the coffee room and socialize but don’t act like you’ve got some ulterior motives. If you can join the choir if you can sing or the Putzteam or other service groups in the church.
Attend concerts if you can afford it and make eye contact. Etc

Myth 9:
Once you enter Germany, you become fresh automatically.
Fact:
There is something about German weather, water, soap or air or whatever that doesn't translate to you having that "UK" or "Yankee" fresh looks for most African people. Most people develop skin spots especially if you are light skinned already. Some people develop dry flaky skin etc. I know this might be more important for girls though. Once you come in, you must and always should look for the right products. In Germany most of the products are developed to "brozen" their skin rather than lighten against what is obtainable in Nigeria. Many of the products might not be right for your skin. The soaps from Nigeria in my opinion doesn't actually provide the ultimate solution in my opinion.
In order to pursue that abroad fresh look, you might need biotin and zinc supplements. You will need soap for "sehr trockenen haut" which translates as "very dry skin".

For girls, you can as well waive good bye to "good" braids and hair, it's damn expensive here. You must learn to DIY or you can "tandem" with other girls who also make hair. Many women carry incredibly horrible thorny and abandoned bird nest for hair because of how expensive it is. Learn to make wigs or make your hair and you will excel. Make use of hair products with a lot of oil like coconut and almond oil and if you have good hair, then go 'Team Natural' or cut your hair and dye it well, it trends here and girls look beautiful on them and it's easier to manage.

For boys, if you can't part with 12 euros for a hair cut every month, then learn to cut your hair yourself or learn to barb, you can make some money that way too.

P.s. Not to sound pessimistic, many people come with fake profiles and rosy unrealistic stories, so that's why my post are actually the opposite. However, it's good you know the challenges and as I give some tips, you can prepare yourself on how to overcome.

You are right in terms of hair for ladies.
I spend 150 euros to braid my hair, which doesn’t even look good. Because of that, I had to start braiding my hair by myself. 2 strand twists mostly and I save money by doing so.

However, I have to state without mincing words that most German dudes have average or massive rods. How do I know this?
1. I am married to German
2. My husband and I visit the sauna and FKK ‘beaches’ a lot and I have seen many womb shifting rods.

I must also say that black ladies have greater chance of snagging German dudes (if you look exotic and dress well).

Again, if you are lady who wears tons of makeup in Nigeria , you will be shocked to see that most Germans don’t wear makeup or when they do, it is usually very light.

Also, you might experience subtle racism but your how you deal with it is what matters.

Then for Christians
You will be surprised that mostly old people attend Catholic Churches but you can find some new generation evangelical churches with bands .
However, you can attend African churches here and some even host vigils like CAC in Mannheim.

Again, before you move, please learn German as much as you can and stay positive.
Good luck to those awaiting their visas!

Good morning all. I came on here around January to ask about family reunion. Well. This is to update you. I had my interview March 8, paid my visa fee of N28,500 and verification fee of 150,000. On the 21st of April an investigation lawyer, visited my house and met with parents, my parents inlaw, my siblings that are above 18, and 2 of my references. They were given questionnaires to fill and my father was given a copy of an affidavit of which he was a deponent to counter sign. All my schools were visited from primary to university level. April 30th I got a mail from the embassy to bring my insurance and international passport. Which I went to submit. At this point I felt very confident of receiving my visa anytime soon. But yesterday, the lawyer called me and told me the embassy reached out to me to investigate my birth. I gave him all necessary info and the address and name of the hospital. I do t know if I should be worried as I have not heard of any case where the embassy conducts any investigation after asking for travel insurance and passport. I need anyone with experience to please explain what to expect so I can be at ease. Thank you

Do not worry. The embassy always like to know to the best of their knowledge the background of whom they want to let into their country. Just be positive and keep an eye on your mailbox because they may send an email to you soon asking for your intended day of travel once your lawyer give them feedback.
All the best!

My wife also submitted on the 26th of march but she's also yet to receive her documents. She is supposed to take a flight on Thursday night. Honestly I don't understand these people again.

The visa was supposed to have been approved before they sent the am mail so i don't know what could be taking that long
Once you get the AM, it means the visa has been approved. Sometimes, the embassy delays in stamping the visa on the passport for reasons best known to them. But be sure that your wife will get her passport back at least a day before.

And for those about to send their passport, please don’t book your trip too soon. Give them at least 14 days (if you can).
Shalom!!

Usually (most often) it will get back to you within 5-8days of posting

Thanks alot.
Is the yellow card (vaccination card) needed at point of entry in Deutschland ?

Have your spouse in Germany been contacted. If not, ask him/her to go to the foreigners office for enquiry.
After submitting all necessary document to the foreigners office, then you should only count days not weeks to receive your visa. Good luck

I have asked him to call them.
I hope My visa drops anytime soon.
Please all the fam reunion visa applicants should join me as we fast for speedy processing of our visas!
