Orlu and Orsu in Owerri alongside bordering communities in Anambra have since been depopulated with most of the indigenes and residents fleeing to Owerri or out of the SE region entirely.

Marauding gangs composed of exconvicts, convicts, thugs , cultists and prison escapees have taken over the adjourning forests in the region and have imposed heavy taxes and levies on residents in these areas. Some are taxed 200k monthly or their village homes get burnt to the ground. Women and girls (even underaged ones) are abducted, raped and impregnated by these criminals in their forest dens. Anyone thinking of doing burial or marriage ceremony most cough out huge sums or the venue is raided and guests and celebrants are kidnapped. In Orlu, the criminals have set up IEDs around the perimeter of villages which have gone off killing and maiming some residents. Young men are forced to join the criminal gangs and initiated in an occultic blood oath ceremony involving the consuming of human flesh. Many of the chiefs and elders have been killed in the most gruesome manner after undergoing sadistic tortures and their heads servered and placed in the centre of the town/village by the criminals. Anyone suspected of being an informant awaits such fate and several have been murdered in such manner. A security report estimates the strength of these gangs ranging up to 5,000 scattered in camps in the forests.

But alas, it's ok for they are fighting Nigeria for Biafra.

I thought I'm the only one who noticed this. Immediately after Hope was re-appointed by INEC insecurities seized in Imo state. I got zero cases of kidnappings in the state during last christmas whereas there was numerous cases the previous christmas

I didn't say we've gotten it right. We also have useless leaders in the East. Incredibly useless ones, in fact, but when it comes to presidency I'm sure you'll agree that the SE and SS generally select the lesser criminals ones from the bunch of criminals who contest.
Compare PDP and APC years and if you're honest with yourself you'll admit PDP years were better. Nigeria witnessed a massive drop in all indices of development under APC. In fact, Nigeria was among the fastest growing economies in Africa during the days of PDP but right now 1 Ghanaian Cedi equals 79.49 Naira
