FBIL: I am 100% Igbo! I just want Buhari to go; I am not worried if Atiku picks VP from the SW. But what worries me is that Atiku may lose SE drastically, I know my people. And the SW has no PDP sitting governor to bolster or guarantee voting PDP. Thus, if Atiku gets a lacklustre vote from SW, he may even get lower from the East. And this will also affect Igbo voters outside Igbo land. And he'll lose. May God open his eyes, so that selfish politicians don't deceive him. Buhari has to go!! this people that always start with am igbo. Am hundred percent igbo should be feared.. Nothing else |

If my memories were correct Pabloafricanus has been here on nairaland defending Ndigbo since it was birthed. PabloAfricanus deserves your apology. Him, Ogbuefi, Andre Uweh, Ezeagu, Ifyalways, Safarigirl, Afam4Eva, Chinenye, Bigfrancis, Ajanaoka, Pazienza and others too numerous to mention have stood for Ndigbo here in time past. So show some respect. show respect to who? To someone who comes here to insult Ndiigbo without giving us solutions... |

No historian will deny that igwuocha is alaigbo. Only in nairaland.

Historical accounts backed up with facts shows that igwuocha is alaigbo regardless of the mental siege many ikwerre are having today. I CHOOSE TO FOLLOW THE HISTORICAL FACTS AND REFUSE TO ALLOW EMOTIONS OVERRIDE ME.
FORGET THIS ISSUE. LETS MOVE FORWARD. the high time u start following his school of thought the better for u..u better let go. I don’t know if ph is ur ancestral home. Go and see documents about ph. U will see that okrika has more claim to ph dan ikwerre cos. Okrika land seceded to colonialist is bigger than what ikwerre contributed and that is anoda problem on itz own. pazienza: You know why Wike would be so inclined to have Ndiigbo sidelined in PDP again, while installing his Tambuwal/Fayose pair?
Wike hope to keep Ndiigbo neglect from central government long enough for him for finish his second tenure in Rivers, and then venture into the national politics where he would then prey on the minds of emotionally weak Igbos who are desperate for reunion with Ikwerres, by claiming he is Igbo, so that he could use and dump us once he clinches and uses our slot. He wish to capitalize on our political misery.
Providence ensured he failed this time around. And I doubt he's given up on his ambitions. lol. And he thought since fayose is Enyi ndi ipob. We Will support them.. Afta that fayose will introduce wike as ikwerre igbo and to be trusted.... Kitakpa gbawa ya isi |

This is the way SE politicians have been for sometime now. And this is why the region is currently in political wilderness in Nigerian politics.
Funny you accuse me of being emotional, when you are the one whose emotional attachment to Igbophobic Igboid groups down South, had blinded from seeing the damage those lots have and are capable of causing to Ndiigbo. I'm the one who isn't held down by emotions here. Curlieweed: Am I the only one that’s not terribly excited about the Atiku election here.
The way I see it, the elections are going to be heavily rigged by Apeeshit, since they cannot contest based on their “accomplishments”.
While Atiku is better than Mumuharri (hardly a high bar - some domestic animals are better than the dullard), his promise of restructuring sounds too gimmicky. Following his discussions with the “mere commissioner”, I get the feeling that he doesn’t have a clear understanding of what exactly he’s restructuring.
Moreover, it’s also not very clear that he will even be successful given the lopsided nature of the legislative arm.
Additionally, I don’t think having PDP at the centre has been beneficial to us. Sure, our “big men” get a lot of lofty appointments but it also encouraged our local PDP governors to reign in impunity knowing that they can rely on “federal might” to rig the next elections. This is clearly the reason why Roaches will want to anoint his son-in-law to take over from him.
If we are supporting Mr Atiku because of “restructuring”, we should also have a Plan B where we will try to effect a piecemeal transition towards more decentralization by lobbying (read bribing) targeted legislators. guy the thing nodey move me. They are the same people..... Some people think he will restructure Nigeria... 2019 is a year of blood... We shall see how it will turn out. I go kukuma enter my house |

frankfrancis871: IGBOS INVESTMENTS IN NASARAWA Igbos own a reasonable amount of investments in Nasarawa (North as a whole), 15+ years ago 99.99999999% of shops in the market were controlled by Igbos. Motorcycle, tractor and motor spare parts are 100% controlled by Igbos here, although some Igbos now train some local indigens. The indigens here are hardworking and ready to compete with Igbos but they can't. Provision shops are 90+% controlled by Igbos although there are other tribes in it but Igbos are found in every nook and crannies (every and any area of Nasarawa) doing business.
Hotel business: Igbos are found here too, I don't know the actual number of hotels owned by Igbos but I'd give them 80%.
Agricultural sector: Yes we farm here in the north, like I said before most people here farm egusi etc. Afos (tribe) do agriculture business, Igbos do it too. Many Igbos do buying and selling like other tribes.
Many Igbos are landlords here and also land and shop owners
Igbos are involved in every and any business here, Igbos are very everywhere. We have meetings here e.g Igbo general meeting, states meeting and even the LGA meeting and we all have a King thank you guy for this info and please. The place u peeps are. pazienza: As Wike, a minority from Rivers state continue to rise in power in Nigeria. The question of non Igbo tag of Ikwerre is a very vital topic, as establishing that would help prevent us from being exploited by opportunists from that part of Niger Delta, in no distant future. The GEJ mistake is going to take us 40yrs if not more to correct as it stands. We must not afford another of such.
So, those who are saying that we had wasted pages dissecting this crucial matter are either shortsighted or have ulterior agenda.

ChinenyeN: Rumuola is part of the Obio clan which claims a westward migration into their present location from within Etche, and many parts of Etche were populated by southward migrations from various Ngwa communities, Umuola included (Umuola in the Okehi part of Echie). Someone from Rumuola will have to enlighten us all about the specifics of their oral traditions, but by virtue of their affiliation with Obio, it seems likely.
