it will appear but nt dat day. According 2 last year, it came out on their website on 29th of june while it appear on news paper on 27th of june.

Yes my broda!
Going by last year DSSC/SSC recruitment process;
The application closes on 7th of june, the shortlisted name for screening came out on 27th of june. (i.e 3weeks after)
The screening started on 8th of July and ended finally on 20th of July.
The final shortlisted name came out on 21th of August (i.e 3 weeks after the screening).
The traning for SSC started 9th of September at NDA Kaduna whle DSSC Traning started on 15th of September in Makurdi.
I learnt tru dis thread dat SSC Training will be at Kaduna dis yr Not Makurdi as usual. (I Like dat).
Therefore, going wt the past History and wt somebody who said that he heard that the screening will start on 22nd of June, no doubt, that shorlisted names will come out on Monday 10th of June, 2013.
What u need to do is to get punch news paper on that day. If ua going to ur working place, get it very early in the morning around 6:30am
and tell us here that the name is out.

If your name comes out for SSC, I can arrange motor for u from Lagos to Kaduna at the rate of #5,500. Instead of #6,700 from d motor pack.
Wait til ur name is out before asking for how its works.

xykms101: In addition to what have been discussed earlier, i also heard the camp is opening for screening on 22nd of june, so definately d list must be released by next week,the screening centre for ssc for this year is kaduna while dssc remains in ibadan. But it's like the NA shortlistment has turned to big fish where u will have to know a very senior officer before u can have it , Na go and pray them dey tell me o. The job dat supposed to be freepot has now turned to jackpot. Which way Nigerians.

GOD is my source. My broda, according to d history, and my friend in Kaduna, d name would be out on 10 or letest 17th of dis month. U can start d preparation now.
D name came out last yr after just 21 days of d closure of applicatn, and it has been like that, dis yr cant be an exception.
My immidiate header broda did not prepare atall, infact he did'nt know that there would be edurance race, yet God helped him to be among the regular intake in 2011 without knowing anybody.

DSSC Training is for just 6 month.
The first shortlist is 3 weeks after d application which is next week,
screening start 10days after d shortlist.
Final shortlist comes 3weeks after d screening.

smuhammad: Your questions are welcomed, though too much of it may be so confusing. the essay is not a difficult one at all. all they need is your command of English and expression. And it is a general one for all candidates. Our was, write about ur journey to Makurdi and the second was an application to the minister of defence on why you want to join the military. So expect anything, read wide cos I learnt u are going to write a general test before the first shortlistment. So do not rest on ur oars by depending on all my hints. Just prepare for the worst.

Does writen test comes after race or how?

No allowance atall 4d 3weeks screening. thr may be allowance at d camp during d training like NYSC, i.e motor and motor cycle allowance.
At the end of 6 month training 4 DSSC and 9 month 4 SSC Before they commission us as Lieutenant and 2rd Lieutenant respectively, we shall pucket huge amount.
After d 3wks training, we will wait 4 abt 3weeks while the name of we successful come out on net and unch news paper.

Pls read Smuhammad comment, d one immidiate before dis one, he explain it in detail.
He is an officer, he was like u and I last yr but now, God has answer his prayer, as God will answer our prayer this year in Jesus name.
The summary of what will happon there is these.
1.) u wil entr d camp wt frog jump
2. Confirm ur name and get ur chest number. And u wil be allocated 2 hostel. (dont expect convenient hostel like NYSC own)
3. Certificate screening (almost all your document is required, from birth cert to NYSC certificate).
4. Medical screening, (these is comprehensive medical check up and it takes abt a week.)
5. U wil go for 3.2km edurance race for not more than 18 minutes. U can start praticing it now.
6. Writen test
7. And finally, u will face the Nigerian Army selection board for oral interview.

smuhammad: Well, the 3 weeks screening is a very interesting one. All they do within the three weeks is to test u both medically and intellectually. The medical includes weight, height, BP, ECG, hepatitis and other blood and urine general tests. Medical takes 90% of the weeks. You must pass medical before being allowed to take part in the 3.2km race. It is also in the medical that many people are being dropped.You have to pass every tests. After the medical come the 3.2km race which you must make it in 18 minutes, for the female last year they gave them 22 minutes, don't hw this year will be. Thereafter you go for the written test. Where u'll write an essay and answer Lexis and structures and general arithmetics questions. Don't forget ur current affairs very important. The final stage is the board interview. Here you'll be asked questions on ur discipline, current affairs and they will also test ur reading ability. All wat is required at this stage is ur confidence and a mastery of ur course of study. for DSSC, Screening take place at Ibadan in Oyo state and training in Markudi in Benue state.
While SSC Screening take place at Markudi and Training at Kaduna NDA Camp Kaduna state.
Concerning phone, according my immidiate brother (regular intake 66) he said, most of the time, ur phone wil nt be wt u but u can make call tru business centres. My broda use to call us tru business centre, when he was in training camp at Depo NA Zaria Kaduna state.

What happened to the remaining 17? Dead, Ran away or chased away(sent packing)? God, u already kno the Future, if the Army is what u want for me see me thru to the end, Amen. May God help us. NN normally put d grade in their qualificatn, e.g second class upper. Etc but dis one did not.
