Temmi001: lesson: Never look down on an aspirant, some might just be taking a second degree or something. But sir, a chemical Engineer could also work upstream, talking of oil exploration and others. About settling down for jobs and all that, I believe so well as a tech-guy, u're not into more of such Ideologies. You'd always be like, ''why are the greatest people in the world college drop-outs?'' lol. Abi I lie? Hope you know Bonky is also a college Drop-out? You are absolutely right! Entreprenuership is my thing and tech billionaires are my role models. I was also a college dropout 4 several years and developed so many ventures that might hav blown me in so many instances. I am suppose to be famous tech millionaire or crude oil wealthy dude by now but God said no, I had to face adversity. I didn't drop out deliberately it was an unavoidable challenge that has to do wit 4 of my prerequisites in 2008, 300l then, but it's all good no experience is a waste and no knowledge is a waste. It's a long story but what didn't kill me made me stronger. |

Jerryspan: abeg, industrial chemists nko? Industrial chemistry was in school of science and was very far away from me. I was in school of Engineering. In that school, we don't call faculty, instead it's "school" it's a uni of technology every course in that sch is 5yr course, even education. And people don't graduate wit Bsc but Btech. |

Temmi001: with respect to Self-development, It's a normal thing if you don't want to be like others. I've always watched videos of tech-entrepreneurs around the world; the likes of Larry page, Larry Ellison, Sergey Brin, Elon Musk, Bill gates, Mack Zuckerberg, Juan Khoum, Sean parker, Eduardo Saverin, Brian Acton, Robin Li, our Very own Mike Adenuga, but a few to mention; something is comon between these guys, they mostly developed themselves. It saddens me each time I have to realise females are nowhere to be Found among these tech-guys. Females are known to 'cram, pour, and exit all what they've read blindly, thus, they can hardly be at the forefront of Tech-Entrepreneurship. As per the tutorials, was just kidding sir. I'm a self-tutored programming student. Thanks to Bonky for his helpful videos and some Other pdf materials. I Live offk anyway Self development is the best! The best programmers are self taught. I'm also a product of Bonky in Java and Android dev |

Temmi001: chemical Engineering That's a really good course, my friend and flat mate studied the course when I was in ATBU. He now works with Shell and earn N1.5million per month. He graduated with 2.1 in an institution where getting 3.0 as a cgpa is very difficult. Then I was in Petroleum Engineering and we used to go to PH every year to visit all the oil companies and it's there that I know that Chemical Engineering has a good prospect because at Ph refinery, we met top engineers that accepted us and gave us to lectures were all chemical engineers. Though were we went was the down stream sector, Petroleum engineers are always in the upstream. Ur course is a good one. |

haywhy911: GideonG,did yo meet any nairalander? You mean in church? If yes, no! I waited and anticipated but nobody came and to be honest had it been anybody came I am pretty sure admission will be guaranteed for them. 30,000 candidates passed the post utme, but half of that number can not be taken, competition is stiff. As soon as I gave my document I was assured that it will be well. And my scores were not even checked before the assurance. By the time the took it to the Proffessor that will help and he checked and saw my ume 205 and putme 80%, I believe he will be more than willing to do his best. I am saying this to encourage all aspirants to try as much as possible to print their documents and find somebody to give! Imagine me with my score, I've never been to Ilorin in my life before now, I do not know anybody yet at the end of the day I have two different people that could stand for me because I gave out my details, nobody should relent his or her effort in this. If you go to Rome, do as the Romans do, opportunity comes but once, and prevention is better than cure. It's now or never. Work hard and pray hard. |
