Those of us who have led organizations and units in way one or the other can relate. You are the SSG and you were in politics before Fubara. You were in Wikes government and know much about running government than Fubara who is just coming in. Fubara has no option than to be friendly with you. He must be unofficially loyal to him as you know the inner working of governance more than him.
I may agree that Fubara is naturally a quiet person but even a lion with sense will learn gradually from a sheep he met in the office before doing away with it.
