Tanks menh, ur comments are really helpful. The thing is my parents are not well funded and the idea of having my tuition for the duration of my studies is totally off the table. Bin seeling admission in the Nigeria University of 5 years now, Jamb and post Utme wahala nor won allow me study...even pay bride self, dem chop person money.no admission...Menh man just dey frustrated seeking a way out.
tnuola: To be honest, I'll advice you have your fees ready for the duration of your studies before you leave Nigeria... It would be hard to work and make enough money to pay your tuiton and other school bills, having in mind that you still have utility bills and rent to pay +feeding, transportation etc.. It would be bad to go all the way and drop out Cuz of lack of funds. Almost everyone studying there complains about how hard it is to combine school and work..

So please think very well and make a wise decision.
Cheers

Oyeleye2011: is it that you want to use study permit to enter so that u can work or you really want to study here. If u are from a poor background, i will advice u to look for college or university that pay less amount of tuition. so that from ur earning, u can easily pay for your tuition without a problem. but if u are from a rich background, definitely, paying tuition fee will not be a problem as long they send u money from naija. For example u can work here in BC and earn $11-$28 per hour depending on the kind of job u get. wish u best of luck sir.

Habeeb521: what a wrong calculation 5 working days r in a week for u to work for five hours per day , if that is me that what I will do which will give u 275 dollars per week which I believe that a sum of 16 weeks of that is something like 4000 dollars real cash, that if u sabi work, as for me ooo. I would not advise u to rely on ur income for ur tuition cus, if u do u r in big trouble wif ur academics once u miss class like 3 to 4 times so it is well my broda

PlayPays: I came to this forum after submitting my app, in my mind I only came here to use it as chill pills for my long wait then not knowing someone on this is forumn as been put in a position to help me when the trv trouble comes. After 2 months of my app and I've learned so much here making me understand my app wasn't perfect I decided to withdraw but that someone encouraged me not to, that i could be so blessed perfectly from that app I tot isn't perfect, 2 weeks later, I got my medical, the rest ofcos just story for the gods. Up till now I still remember that person in my prayers tho he wouldn't know the impact he made, to him it's just one of those advices he can give out.
I'm just using this post to encourage us that you don't know who is who here and you don't know who God can use and same time I'm apologizing to those my words have offended. During those days when we can storm cdch anyhow like a landlord wey wan go ask for rent. My first visit was when I met most people from here. I went with my guy who brought me here, tho I became active than him. We were just sitting jeje like pikin wey fart before elders and some people were busy talking about NL, talking about the different people here, those who are rude and those who are nice, they were mentioning names and all. My name was mentioned and a lot was said bout me, I was amazed. Another mate here who I had met earlier just came from nowhere and shouted my name and those people looked at me with their eye balls getting bigger than Segun Arinze's, Are you Playpays?! I answered Yes, see the way they rush me like when mosquitoes hear sey there's a fat neighbor who forgot to close his windows. I was glad by things said of me. if i was a bad fella that's how they would have rushed me with heavy beatings. One of the reason why I will always be loyal to all here, you don't know where you will meet another person from here.

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by giftwalter: 6:23pm On Sep 30, 2014
Habeeb521: brother's u r welcome. In this forum I am also a student whose applying to canada though am processing my TRV right naw hopefully the visa officer grant my visa. So let be say welcome to u again
Brother u see to my on riddles perspective the cheapest university is not what matters, its university or college who can satisfy your need in terms of the course u guys wanna go for. U see from the advice I also have from master planners, gurus, brain box, engines of this room like chrigo, slimdel and others amefrica,as time goes on u will, get to no them so as I was saying it is usually advised to attend college if ur an undergraduate student, if grad u can go further ur studies. As for the funding from ur parent, believe me no be all of us here and there r born wif silver spoon. U can use a rich family frends SOA for visa procurement. And ebout the working , I think from the new law that was effected June 2014, u can work 20 hours per week wif ur study permit alone while u study after ue educatio believe me as time goes u will blend and understand CiC more and even immigration wahala if u no what I mean, so my brother that my point of view naw oo may be later we go see saw
Guy I don't really know the difference between college and university, to me I think is thesame. Can you explain it to me plz?

Good Day Guys,

Me and friend are planning on traveling to study in Canada, Our parents are not well funded but we intend to pursue our dreams to study Engineering and Computer Science. We made some research online and saw that Memorial University is the cheapest in Canada. Plz we would like to get information from people you have been there or who are currently studying there. We would like to know if we can work and pay our tuition fees with the student jobs available, or if there is any alternatives on how we can stay there, work and still go school. Thank You
