Good evening bracelum, pls I would love to go for an MBA degree in business analytics( also cuz it’s under stem) I read what you told that guy. Pls do I need to take some online courses or get an experience in analytics?? Pls I don’t mind recommendations on schools that give fundings. Waiting on your response or anyone’s. Thanks

Get a job or internships for at least 1 year in data science/analytics: Everyone tells you that data science is hot but no one tells you that The tools are not important, but the insights you generate are very important: This is why I said data science is not software engineering. No one gives a f*ck about the tools you have in your skillset. Whether it is Python, SAS, Scala, R or whatever! No one cares! What they all care about is the amount of insights you can get from your analysis. I have met Data Scientists from Apple that do not know how to code on Python. I have met Data Scientists from Intel that only use Excel (yeah, Excel). But one quality they all share is very solid statistical and business acumen. The Intel guy can build a market acquisition model from scratch using logit or probit models.

So, brush up on your statistics and wear your business cap always! That is what makes you a good data scientist.

Finally, you will have to tell me if funding is a priority for you so that I can suggest some good programs.

Good evening, please I need help, how do I calculate waec using wes. Its asking for course name, credit unit and grade. For waec i don't know the credit unit to enter only the subject and grade. E.g CRS A1. Pls how did u guys calculate yours.

Most schools there GP requirement is 2.5 gp on a 4 scale grading while here in Nigeria GP is been calculated on a 5 Scale grading. I don't even know how to convert from 5 scale to 4 scale.

VO: What are you going to do in the US?

Me: I'm going to Duke University for my Master of Quantitative Management with concentration in Business Analytics

VO: Duke University is extremely difficult to get into. How did you do it?

Me: First of all, it was recommended by my industry mentor. Then, I took GRE twice and then the TOEFL. Then I applied and was interviewed before admitted.

VO: When did you get your undergraduate?

Me: 2016

VO: What have you been doing since then?

Me: During my mandatory National Youth Service, I worked as a Business Developer for a management consulting firm. Prior to that, I worked in multiple roles as a freelance business consultant.

VO: Have you traveled outside the country before?

Me: In 2016, I was an International Volunteer at a Community Development Project in Ghana (we chorused Ghana together)

VO: Who will be paying?

Me: I got a merit based scholarship, a loan and family support

VO: Married

I saw a post bigfrancis posted on the previous page abt MBA, if an Mba graduate can't get an HB1 sponsorship for visa then how can someone go about it after graduation. How do u tell or ask the company to sponsor you for visa. i'm asking because i intend to go for an mba degree. i also asked a frnd of mine who is an mba graduate abt the job and all, she said she's working with Apple now for (opt) i think its 1 year right but they are not sponsoring her visa. i need to understand how these things work, please waiting on your response.

Pls guys my gre score is 281, I have bsc in mathematics which I graduated with 2:2 my last two years were of good grades on my transcript because I was told by someone that they always consider the last years most importantly I learnt that a lot of schools don't have much student applying for masters in mathematics, which schools can you suggest for me which will be easy to get admission and also funded if I can be lucky with that my gre score.

The answer to the bolded is NO, it depends on the school you apply to, not all schools consider your last 60 hours of undergrad. You want to get funding with a 2:2 and a 282 GRE score? Lets be honest, if the funding were in your care as a POI would you give someone that has this kind of your profile? Would you be confident enough to put projects worth thousands of dollars in there care? I am sure your answer in NO. My advice to you is to re-write GRE and get > 315, with that you have better chances at both funding and admission. Your 2:2 is not a limiting factor if you get a good gre score, LOR,SOP etc

using Wes Evaluation I think NECO isn't sure for the evaluation but WAEC is ..if you want to evaluate ur Neco Result try checking if the school do accept Naces evaluation if it does then use Educational Perspectives it definitely do accept NECO.. https://www.edperspective.org/credential-evaluation-applications.php. I don't know about the processing time.
