So they now agree that it is a loan not a grant and still they want the state government to use loan to feed ebi n pawa people. This kind of economy sense it's called voodoo economy. |
Many have started wailing just within 15 months of this government, while this kind reforms can take close to 20 years before it can start taking meaningful shape. Some people alive now will never benefit from this kind of policy if at all it will materialize and that is even if the person that takes over after Emilokan fit continue with all this kind policy. If not, Emilokan just suffer Nigeria citizens for nothing. Tueh. |
So shameful, while politician who stole the covid-19 palliative to celebrate her birthday received political appointment. Tueh |
Many from the 650 remaining are writing their PLAB, whenever they pass they too will leave no doubt. |
First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist Then they came for the trade unionists And I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist Then they came for the Jews And I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me By - Martin Niemöller |
All our govt knows is to give out new contract, nothing about maintenance of infrastructure. When the building turn to rubble, they will give out the contract to rebuild it. While elsewhere u see building of year 1800s still standing strong. |
Baba God likes Nigeria so much that he decides to be paying the subsidy for us, because Emilokan people will tell u subsidy is not included in the budget. |
Last last na everybody go chop breakfast. |
Nigeria will not change until the time hand start to dey touch some of these elite, and they start speaking up. |
They voted for Muslim-muslim govt. but still dem they lament about the economy. In buhari's voice, this is just the beginning! |
People looking up to Dangote refinery as the Nigeria savior, please how market. |
Kobojunkie:My guy, out of all the problems in Nigeria what is my own problem with LGBTQ. I even have some of them as friends, it is their choice. My only concern is when the government is not straight forward, thinking they are talking to babies. When your constitution forbid something and you signed a document that seems that u accept it, don't you think they will need to start talking about reviewing the constitution to suit the signed agreement. |
This Samoa or whatever remind me of the document signed by the then Oba of Benin that led to his banishment. It seems we Africans will continue to make stupid mistakes when it comes to signing foreign documents where dey put attractive incentives. Even in the UK, u will never see the word LGBTQ, all they do is use a rainbow 🌈 color to signify it. |
I look for which section on Nairaland to put this information but can only come out with Entertainment. Who will go sacrifice himself/herself for Nigeria for space bayi. ![]() https://saharareporters.com/2024/06/19/nigerian-government-send-first-citizen-space |
The same mistake made by removing subsidy instead to tackle the corruption in that sector, will also be made in this ongoing minimum wage palava, you cannot make people poor and be expecting prosperity for your country. For those hailing them because you are getting small fries from the politicians, wait small hand go soon touch Una too. When the poor don't have anything to eat again then they will know where to turn. |
casualobserver:You make sense sha. Work here in the UK no easy. If na to dey laugh for customers they employed u for, u self go know say u work when u finished work for that day. |
casualobserver:In as much that I agree with you that we pray a lot for everything in Nigeria, and that is just the way we are brought up. But, to be reasonable the jobs are not out there, many graduates of 10 years ago are out there with no jobs. So, where do u want to see 2 place to work. And u here in the UK were able to work 2 jobs because it is hourly work based. If ur contract is 37hrs a week, u know by say 4 days u will meet up with the hours. So u have extra 3 days and the jobs are out there. If u like u look for another job or use the 3 days to rest. |
casualobserver:I don't know the abroad you are referring to anyway. But one thing I noticed about Nigerians working two jobs in the UK is that, not that they can't survive with just one job on their own. But because they wanted to send money home, mostly they engage in 2 or more jobs. I only work part time, 24 hrs per week, just 3 days and my wife also works same pattern, with two kids we are okay. Living in 3 bedroom flats. It's only when Billing from Nigeria comes thru for my wife she always pick extra shift or overtime. Maybe if Nigeria too can shift to hourly rate work. Then maybe things fit dey different. And more jobs for many, so the money can go round. |
You will see that the govt. will come out with one ex parte order tomorrow nite, to prevent labour to go on strike. Makes you to wonder what is the difference between this Emilokan govt. and Abacha regime. |
When the govt. like to copy what is only good for them to enrich themselves alone. U remove subsidy on fuel, on forex, want to remove on electricity and other things. They will tell u that is how it is done in advanced con3. But, comes to pay workers what is truly good for them to live a meaningful life, they will come with the the con3 will experience inflation, hyperinflation blah blah blah. Their is no con3 that will prosper if the citizens are poor. Manufacturers will not benefit in such an economy. The con3 is already experiencing stagflation. |
Good as everyone dey fill the impact of Emilokan. For a right thinking person, immediately Emilokan said subsidy is gone, you supposed know that this is what is going to happen. And it is going to still get worse. Because, we must take the con3 IGR to a trillion dollars, not minding how it impacts the citizen. Na propaganda we go dey chop now. All those multinationals that are leaving the con3, already analyse where the economy is going, reason they japa comot for Naija. It is not a rocket science to know that this will happen. If companies are lamenting, what about retailer's, many of them go get expired product by now. |
The day one old man told me that see, you can feed your wife for 100 years and there will never be an issue. But, if your wife feed you for just 1 day and it continue for some times, just know that there will be problem. In Nigeria we guys sees taking care of all the needs of our wife as our priorities. They want to buy aso-ebi, bra, pants everything we always try to provide. But here in the UK, that is not visible, there is no way u can meet-up with such. House rent alone don take one person salary. So, to curb that u both must contribute for everything. Most Nigerian's traveling abroad supposed to prepare their spouse for that reality. If not problem go plenty. By the time she's making her own money and started sending to her own people. I just hope the wife think it through sha, because na master she went for. Her eyes go soon clear. Make the guy just dey happy. In all things, praise God. |
Jagabanarmy:Actually it is not a mistake, it is just a lazy way of doing things. They want to be able to qualify for IMF or World bank loans. The loans they will eventually LOOT. So, any policies dish out by those bodies they are ready to obey like MUMU them be as long as the policies don't affect them and their family. All aspect of their own live is being subsidies by Nigerians. |
mmadu5:Guy u still don't get it. Some of the older generations are not lazy like youth of nowadays. We are 6 children too and non of us are in the con3, we sent minimum of #50k a month to our parent monthly not including the ones our wives will sent, still my mum still have a shop in front of the house to sell stuffs. My mom will go to the extent of going to the market to buy palm kernel to make palm oil. Not that she don't have money to buy the ready made oil. |
When they tell u say Nigeria is not for u and u are there still claiming that na we get the con3. A friend of my in the UK told me that he wanted to setup a biz in Nigeria. The only question I asked him is that I hope he is not expecting profit from the biz. Because, for any biz u wanted to site in Nigeria now, u must know that the purchasing power of the people has been run down to zero. So, how are they going to buy whatever services that u want to provide. |
Na now una go know why he no win for Lagos. It is better all other states too enjoy Wetin he did for Lagos when he built it to Dubai standard. Davido let them feel it comes to mind |
Na small small people for other state go know why Emilokan no win election for Lagos state wey him built. E lo fokan bale.... |
Make govt too come out with their own breakdown, you can see how NLC put figures to their own wage. Nigeria govt don't use the same market we the citizens are using and they are subsidizing all aspects of their own lives. Many of these civil servants go as far as sleeping in the office because of transportation fare. |
In a country where people are living on minimum wage not living wage, it will be difficult for businesses to succeed without subsidize power and it availability. |
They will tell us that it is Buhari govt. that spoil Nigeria. But thinking about the way Buhari runs his govt. and the way this Emilokan his running it now, can you please identify the difference? because I don't just know how long propaganda will run a govt. |
Emilokan please apply more pressure. They are happy that you are the best thing to happen to them. For those that want free market economy to apply to Nigeria, PMS supposed be higher than #800 normally. I don't know if it is these same people that are running the con3 that comes online to come and defend rubbish. |
ozo13:APC start this kind of politics in Nigeria, so please don't defend them, we need more people to criticize government, maybe with that they will get it right. |
