Toni Morrison has died at the age of 88. The renowned novelist, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993, died Monday night August 5th, according to a source at her publisher, Knopf. The cause of death is not yet known.

Morrison was best known for her critically acclaimed and best-selling novel "Beloved", which won the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

Born Chloe Ardella Wofford, Morrison was an American novelist, essayist, editor, teacher and professor emeritus at Princeton University.

She is also the first black woman of any nationality to be awarded a Nobel Prize in Literature.

Morrison's latest novel, God Help the Child, was published in 2015. She wrote through the toughest of times, including the death of her son in 2010.

Around the release of her 9th novel, Home, in 2012, Morrison told Interview magazine: "I stopped writing until I began to think, he would be really put out if he thought that he had caused me to stop."

A Twitter user shared a photo of a fresher resuming at univeristy with a metal box and a 'Ghana-must-go' bag with the aim of shaming him. But his aim backfired as Twitter users slammed him for being a bully.

@AupalEmmanuel shared a photo of the fresher and wrote: "#HeyFreshers A rare picture of a fresher attached to University Hall (U.H ) reporting today with S.1 metal case and Osoufia."

Twitter users replied to his tweet to let him know that the future is unknown and the fresher he's shaming today could be superior to him in future. Others slammed his for trying to shame a man living within his means.

Central Crime Branch officials in Bengali, India has arrested a 35-year-old Nigerian national for drug peddling and recovered 33 grams of MDMA and cocaine worth Rs 2 lakh from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Tony Lucky, a native of Enugu State. He was residing in Brindavan Nagar near Bagalur Main Road.

Based on a tip-off, a team of CCB sleuths raided a house in Brindavan Nagar on Thursday, August 1, and caught Lucky red-handed with the drugs.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Lucky had come to the city on a visiting visa and started selling drugs by sourcing it from his contacts in other metro cities.

He used to travel to Navi Mumbai regularly and is suspected to have a larger network.

The accused has been booked under the NDPS Act.

The Founder and General Overseer of Light Way Ministries (A.K.A The Last Bus-Stop) in his confession in police custody, admitted paying people N5,000 to fake miracles in his church located at Enerhen Road in Dolphin Micro-Finance Bank Warri, Delta State.

Police on Thursday confirmed the arrest of three men who allegedly raped and beheaded a three-year-old girl in India’s eastern state of Jharkhand.

The Railway police officer, Ehtesham Waquarib, said that three men, two were believed to have sexually assaulted and killed the girl and a third, who is the mother’s partner, were arrested late Tuesday.

The girl was sleeping with her mother at the Tatanagar railway station in Jamshedpur city last Friday when she went missing. A police complaint was filed at the time.
CCTV footage showed a man walking away with a sleeping child in his arms, helping the police to identify the suspects.

”We arrested two suspects in their thirties, who led us to the mutilated body of the child, which was found in a bag at an isolated place.
”They confessed to raping, strangling and beheading the child,” Mr Waquarib said.
One of the suspects recently served a sentence for kidnapping a child and attempting to kill her in 2015, the police said.
The police said the mother told the police she suspected her partner of involvement in the crime and his role is being investigated.
He added that sniffer dogs were being used to find the child’s head which is still missing.

This is the latest in the series of brutal incidents of rape and sexual violence reported from India.
India has been in the spotlight in recent years over incidents of sexual violence against women.
In 2012, the fatal gang-rape of a student on a bus in New Delhi led to massive public outcry and tougher laws.

Big Brother Naija star, Thelma, who was recently evicted from the reality show has also confirmed the sexual activities between Khafi and her lover Gedoni in the Big Brother House.

Speaking on The Report Card with Hero Daniels on Linda Ikeji TV (LITV), Thelma said the relationships in the reality show are all strategic, but for Gedoni and Khafi, she noted that their love is totally fake.

According to her, she feels Gedoni is only playing Khafi because he was not attracted to her at first.

Thelma also claimed in the interview, that they were always running out of condoms in the Big Brother House because of Gedoni and Khafi's sexual activities.

Cossy Ojiakor has promised to continue to come for Tunde Moshood with all she's got till she ''exposes the truth.'' She went on to accuse him of being the one behind the fall that landed her in a wheel chair.

The glamour model has been calling out Tunde Moshood for publishing a damaging article years ago that derailed her career. In the article, he claimed she had sex with a dog for real on the set of the movie, Itohan.

Cossy said at the time there was no social media to clear her name but now she intends to do just that.

Tunde Moshood eventually replied her rants and threatened her but she refused to give up. She continued calling him out.

A week ago, Cossy suffered a fall that landed her in surgery and ultimately in a wheel chair. Now, she's insinuating Tunde was the one who sent the "evil pussycat" that caused her fall

However, she said all that has happened will not stop her from seeing the fight to the end. She promised to sue Tunde till his apology makes headlines.

Nigerian model, Adetutu OJ, who has prominent tribal marks on her face, went viral last year when she indicated interest in modelling for Rihanna and boldly called out discrimination against people with tribal marks.

Emboldened by her success since then, she has now taken it a step further by posing nude.

In one photo, she wore a net top with nothing beneath, thereby exposing her naked breasts. In another she posed by the beach in nothing at all, save for some waist beads.
