Splendor ruled the 4th Pan African Music and Fashion runway as reality star Alex Asogwa a.k.a Alex unusual made her debut showcasing cutting-edge designs by internationally renowned Ade Bakare and IRE Clothings by Kunle Afolayan.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Alex Unusual strutted down the runway alongside other models, showcasing designs also from Skentele by Etti, Big Ben Kilani, Steve Ray Couture and more at the annual event Organised by NMO Management & PR Limited in Lagos recently.

NAN also reports that the event had the Game Changer Africa Acknowledgement Award segment which was hosted by Wofai Samuel and presented by Ngozi Omambala, honors extraordinary individuals and creative pioneers.

The Game Changer Africa Award Recipients were Kunle Afolayan (Filmmaking) and Lanre Da Silva (Fashion).

A special Award was also presented to the Late Wale Aboderin who was represented by Angela Emuwa current Chairman Punch Newspapers Limited.

Omambala who is the Managing Director/CEO NMO Management & PR founder said the event was a true celebration of our rich African cultural heritage.

“The Game Changer Africa Acknowledgement Award categories were expanded.

“The icing on the cake was to have all of these legendary icons present to personally receive their Awards.

“We are truly blessed and thankful for the welcome support and epic success of Pan African 4th annual (MFR) Edition. We look forward to 2019.

Amidst reports that his marriage to wife, Osas, is in crisis, Nigerian actor/Model, Gbenro Ajibade has replied an Instagram user who asked the wherabouts of his wedding ring.

Ajibade had posted he photo above on Thursday night asking his followers to join him as he celebrates his birthday in Miami tomorrow, when a follower questioned him on where his wedding ring was.

TVC’s Morayo Akabashorun tearfully apologized to husband on air during the Your View program, while also clarifying her controversial statement.

TVC presenter, Morayo and her other colleagues were having a discussion on rape viz-a-viz the relationship between father and daughter and if boundaries should be set in this kind of relationship.

“I actually trust my husband but I’m just being careful because people that have experienced this kind of situation, also trusted their husbands and yet, it happened”,she said.

Her statement went viral and led to a debate. Some criticized her saying she has indirectly disrespected her husband and called him a paedophile.

Morayo yesterday responded to set things straight, she said:

My husband is not a pedophile, he’s a highly responsible, decent man. He can never do anything to hurt any of his children.

Psychology has told us to teach children to respect their personal spaces and ensure that family members don’t come too close.

We need to define what is too close as a child.

So, I’m glad the conversation has started, I’m glad we’re talking about it. Let us understand that these are real life issues that are happening.

She has gone another step further as she went on her to apologize to her husband. It was a very emotional apology as she was in tears.

A Nigerian lady identified as, King Mavis Amarachi has shared her story after she was stopped from committing suicide in Lagos.

King Mavis Amarachi took to her Facebook page to share a touching post on how she had attempted suicide multiple times. Saying she recently tried to jump off a bridge in Lagos state only to be rescued.

She also shared images of when she cut herself with a blade. See what she wrote below;

5-12-19 was the day I gave up on life.
I gave up on my mom, my brother, and my friends. I was tired of Life, Family, Everything. I have tried overdosing myself with series of drugs twice, but God will always send my mom to my rescue. I have been battling with depression for the past 6months. At first I tried cutting myself with blades to feel better, it helped a bit tho. One, two, three till it became a habit. Yesterday I took the worst step of my life, I headed to law school bridge lekki to end it all. When I got there I said to myself “yes this is my final bustop”. But my Gracious God said No that he has plans for me. He sent his Angels to take charge over me, two policemen and a brother, they came at the peak of time. Then I realized God’s purpose for me. I realized I was selfish I never thought about the pain my mom would go through, what about my brother. I realized I only have God to talk to, the Almighty who is faithful in his words. I have learnt to talk to him when I’m down, he would listen and won’t judge me, he would give me peace of mind and solution to all my problems. I alone knows what am going through and I have only God to turn to. Please try and reach out to your loved ones, call and text them people are going through a lot you know nothing about. Help me share this in every way you can, media, group chat, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram. Help me save a life. No problem, No one is worth stressing nor dying for. GOD IS THE ONLY WAY

Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida’s court case is currently ongoing, and we already have a live feed from the court session taking place in Lagos.

Few months ago we reported that Maje Ayida sued his ex-wife Toke Makinwa, and also hired lawyers to stop the sales and promotion of her memoir ‘On Becoming‘.

In Toke Makinwa’s memoirs, Maje Ayida was scathingly portrayed and was said to have given the on-air-personality an STD. She also wrote that the fitness expert was a serial cheat and an adulterer. The legal documents Maje’s reps sent to Toke Makinwa described the book as “exaggerated fabrication.”

‘On Becoming’ was published on Sunday, November 27, 2016 by Kachifo Limited. Maje Ayida’s lawyers however said the popular book contained “defamatory words.”

According to the letter of demand sent to Toke Makinwa, Maje Ayida was said to have “requested legal separation” from her “within 6 months” of their marriage in January 2014 — “when it became clear that the marriage was breaking down”.

Maje has identified his oath, and his documents have been admitted as evidence without objection. Maje is done with his examination in chief. Time for cross examination! The fun part! By the way, Toke’s lawyer is a SAN. Maje also hired a SAN’s firm. Power moves. I love this game.

Maje is suing Toke for N100m but says under cross examination that he doesn’t know Toke’s financial worth and if she can pay the N100m. Guysssss, so apparently Toke saw my tweets and told one of her lawyers. Her lawyer found me in court and threatened to report me to the Judge for live-tweeting the trial. I told her to go ahead. I know I have a constitutional right to freedom of expression and speech.

The court is also a public place and everyone is entitled to approach same or be in same. Everyone is also entitled to report correctly what transpires in court. That is all I did. I didn’t even tweet in court, but tweeted when I went to use the convenience.

BUT, I will exercise caution and avoid unnecessary attention IN COURT. The Court Police orderly has spotted us and has asked that no scene be created. So, I will tweet what has happened in this matter after I’m out of here. Again.

Toke’s lawyer sought to tender a letter written by Maje. Maje’s lawyer objected on the ground that the letter cant be tendered through Maje. Toke’s lawyer replied that, the letter sought to be tendered, is to prove that Maje was a cold-blooded husband. Ghen ghen.

The next question offed me. Maje was asked how old Toke was when they first met. Maje said 19. He was then asked how he knew. Guess his answer? He said “that was what they told.” Lmao. If you understand the underlying tone of this answer ehn… LMAO.

Oh oh. Trial haff off small. Toke’s lawyer and Maje’s lawyer are having a go at each other. There’s a shouting match. Judge had to rise immediately and has called both lawyers to his chambers.

Judge and both counsel return to the open court. Calm is restored. Maje is asked about his home and away matches. In the paraphrased words of Toke’s lawyer, “you had a live-in lover AND an Abuja comnection?”

Maje denies having a live-in lover, but admits to womanizing. He actually says he’s a womanizer. He mentions 2 women:Hauwa & Aisha. He also admits to impregnating Anita. A lawyer closeby makes a comment,saying “Maje is the ladies man. 6 packs. Nigerian Breweries” Everyone laughs

Maje is asked of Anita’s surname. *drum roll* Guess it? Just guess it?!! Nah, I have to keep that identity intact. Anyway, he says Anita was his ex at the time he impregnated her. Him & Anita visited ze oza room when he had issues with Toke. Lol. Dude was really on form.

Maje admits that he also travelled to Florida with another of his ex-girlfriend, Erika. Man like Maje. Sweet boy, fresh guy. Na dem dey rush us pump action

Maje refutes that he infected Toke with STI. He says he has no medical record of having STI. Toke’s lawyer then asks if Maje used a condom when her impregnated Anita. Judge bows his head in horror of the vulgar word. Judge suggests counsel uses “contraceptive” instead of “condom”

Question is rephrased and Maje is asked if he used “rubber” when he impregnated Anita. Maje says of course, not at the time he impregnated her. Lol. This isn’t even a matrimonial cause action, yet, it is this juicy and comical. Imagine a divorce proceeding.

Maje is asked if he had sexual intercourse with Erika, Hauwa, Aisha & if he used rubber. He says he reserves his answer. LMAO. Dude thinks this is America where you’ll plead the 5th. Judge says ogbeni answer the question jare; this is 9ja (of course, not in that tone,but you get)

The police have arraigned Adekunle Temitope, aka Small Doctor for unlawful possession of firearms.

A credible source at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, said the popular artiste was arraigned before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s court.

Another source at the court confirmed the development.

The suspect had been paraded at the police command headquarters at Ikeja after he was arrested around Oshodi on Monday.

He was alleged to have threatened to open fire on a police officer before he was caught.

The state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, said Small Doctor had in the past fired shots and injured four people.

He noted that the injured were admitted to a hospital and vowed that the artiste would be made to face the law.

Small Doctor recently created a controversy after singing at an event of the All Progressives Congress.

He had sung one of his hit tracks, ‘Ye ma sun (stop sleeping), which many said was targeted at the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

But the singer’s manager had denied the claims.

Daddy Freeze has said a 100,000 seater church building is an absolute waste of resources, saying such structure is not needed to communicate with God.

The controversial OAP slammed Nigerians with 2pac’s question asking if God needs 100,000 seater church buildings or shinny ceilings to talk to them. He wrote on Instagram;

A special message from the late Tupac Shakur to Paul Enenche and any other Nigerian preacher whose conscience can not tell him that the world poverty capital doesn’t NOT need church auditoriums that can seat 100,000 people. –

As far as I’m concerned Tupac is a greater prophet than all Nigerian pastors and GOs put together. –

In my honest opinion, t’s an absolute waste of the resources of the body of Christ entrusted into the hands of these men. –

I am still giving 1million Naira to Paul Enenche if he can prove with the scripture only that Christianity in nigeria needs such a wasteful building.
