Following reports that Ayorinde Kehinde, popularly known as DJ Kaywise, had a ghastly auto crash in Abuja, a lot of people have been anxious about the disc jockey’s health. This is understandable as the car was so badly damaged that it didn’t look like anyone could have come out of it alive.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, DJ Kaywise stated that it is only God that can explain how the four people inside the car survived without sustaining serious injuries. “The news of my accident wasn’t a publicity stunt. It happened in Abuja while we were rushing to the airport because I had another show in Lagos. I wasn’t aware what happened but the next thing we knew was that the car somersaulted. We were four in the car and no one sustained serious injuries. All I did was close my eyes and prayed to God to save us.

“After coming out of the car, I knelt down on the road to thank God. The car was really damaged.”

Kaywise also stated that his twin brother was one of the people in the car when the accident occurred, adding that he couldn’t inform their parents because he didn’t want them to panic. “By the time I woke up the next morning, the news was everywhere. I then felt it was better I called my mother before people started calling her,” he said.

Singer and policeman, Abayomi Ekundayo, otherwise known as Yomi SARS, has admitted that the campaign to end the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Nigeria affected his music.

Yomi SARS stated that at a time, he was enjoying good following in the music industry, but it later became a struggle for him (to shine). He told Sunday Scoop, “I was one of the originators of the shaku shaku dance. The dance style became popular last year, which was the season I released my hit song, Adoyoyo. Songs such as Legbegbe, Shepeteri and Egewere were also newly released at the time. While the other songs went on to enjoy more attention, it was not the same for me. Things became worse and the public’s attention shifted from me.”

However, Yomi insists that he is a man of faith who believes that is how God wanted things to unfold. He said, “Since the campaign to scrap SARS has ended, people have been embracing my music more. By the time my new mixtape circulates well, I am certain that more people will get to appreciate my talent.

“I was supposed to perform at Olamide’s concert last year but I couldn’t because of the tension. It was a serious national issue at the time and people saw me as one of the SARS officials even though I had left the unit many years ago.”

Yomi also claimed that he usually rescued celebrities whenever they had problems with policemen. He said, “Trust me, I always look out for celebrities whenever they have issues. If you call me at 2am, I will pick the phone because I’m a light sleeper. If I can’t solve the case myself and I am certain you are innocent, I will meet with my bosses for help. I have always wanted to bring the police closer to the people.”

An unidentified 14-year-old girl has been arrested by the police in Delta State for allegedly stabbing a man believed to be her father to death in the Cable Point area of the Asaba, the state capital.

SUNDAY PUNCH gathered that trouble erupted on Thursday evening when the man disciplined her for an offence she committed before he went to sleep.

It was gathered that the girl, who was unhappy with the development, waited until her was asleep before stabbing him to death with a knife.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed the incident, bemoaned the crime rate in the state, especially among youths.

Aniamaka said, “I don’t have information if the deceased is the girl’s father. But all we know for now is that he was related to her. Imagine a small girl stabbing her relative to death. The other day, it was killing of a Delta State University student. Where are we heading to?’’

He also appealed to parents to continue monitoring their children, advising ladies to be wary of the men they date.

An emerging story of a girl who allegedly bled to death on Tuesday at Shoprite in Warri, Delta State, is beginning to trend online.

This is after a lady took to social media to give the narrative of what resulted to her mysterious demise – according to the lady, the alleged victim met a man at Shoprite and he asked for her account number and immediately transferred N50K to her in exchange for her to allow him penetrate her genitals with his finger.

After the lady got the alert that her account had been credited, she went to a corner with the man and the deed was done. However, not quite long after, the said lady asked to pee in the bathroom there at the super mart, only for her to pee blood. This continued until she bled to death, the online report alleges.

A woman killed her lover, chopped his body into little pieces, cooked it with rice, then served it to a group of construction workers.

The Moroccan woman confessed to butchering her long-term lover, and cooking his body with rice, she said the remaining parts which could not be cooked, she threw to dogs.

The construction workers working in the United Arab Emirates had no idea that the meal offered to them by the woman contained human flesh. The crime came to light after police found a tooth in her blender.

Three whole months had passed before police arrested the woman in her 30s and she confessed to dismembering her boyfriend of seven years in a fit of temporary “insanity,” Gulf News reported.

She said she acted out of jealousy because her lover, who is said to have been in his 20s, dumped her, telling her that he was going to marry his cousin in Morocco. The woman said she had provided for the man for seven years and could not accept his betrayal.

The woman’s evil act was discovered after the man’s brother started searching for him. He told the police that when he came to the couple’s home in Al Amin in the UAE, the woman shut the door in his face, saying that she had kicked her ex out after he broke the news about his upcoming marriage.

The man then alerted the police, who searched the house and reportedly found a human tooth in the woman’s blender. A DNA test later confirmed that it belonged to the missing man.

Following her arrest, the woman was sent to a hospital for a check up to determine if she’s suffering from a mental illness.

A TV presenter in Turkey suffered a heart attack during a live broadcast recently and collapsed – Sukru Oytan, a sports presenter, had been fitted with a pacemaker just 10 days prior, after being diagnosed with arrhythmia — slow or irregular heartbeats.

The pacemaker is a device connected to people’s heart muscles and can relieve some arrhythmia symptoms such as fatigue and fainting. If your heart rate is too slow, it sends an electrical signal to the heart muscle to start a heartbeat.

A viral video footage shows Oytan slump suddenly on the desk in front of him, before sliding off his chair and falling onto the studio floor.

Oytan was analysing the Sports Toto 1st League Eskisehirspor-Umraniyespor match when he paused suddenly. After a short silence, he can be seen leaning with his head resting against the table, while his co-presenter, Guven Sabaz, appears to be confused about what to do in the situation.

He can be seen panting as he bends over and Sabaz begins walking over to his colleague but Oytan falls out of his chair and onto the floor in a heap.

Turkish media said that Oytan had suffered a heart attack on air and was rushed to hospital, where he was now reportedly in a stable condition.
