NYSC / What To Know As A CORPS MEMBER Before The End Of Your Year by GistHub(m): 5:11pm On Jan 04, 2020
Funny, isn't it?

Well it actually not because in my recent interactions with few corps members on why they are posted to a particular states of deployment either if it is there want or accidental.

I have discovered a lot of corps members feels the one year service program is a time of adventure for them.

Well, cool as it may seems to go adventurous alt least for one year after rigorous engagements for some 4, 5 and 6 years in the university.

While it may seem or spell a doom for few people who actually don't have any plans for themselves going forwards after NYSC.

The one year is a time for you to grind your teeth for the labour market struggle.

A time for you to as well pick a struggle and learn the nitty gritty of an industry you would end up carrying application to be a part of after service.

I see no reason why as a corps member, you'd be teaching in a school while you'd end up as a graphics artist and not know how to go about it.

However, this is just some rants!

Testing my keyboard after a while here on Nairaland. I throw big twale to Seun and @slimberry.

Investment / Re: Eklipse Consults: Now You Have The Oppurtunity Obasanjo And Awolowo Had!!!!! by GistHub(m): 8:52am On Jul 01, 2016
donpy:
Goodnews ladies and Gentlemen.
Do you know that Obasonjo had an agreement with Mtn when he was in power that for Mtn to access the then 150million Nigerians as a prospective community he wants to earn N1 on every recharge of mtn. Note that Obasanjo doesnt earn A dime when you buy an mtn sim pack, he only earns when you rechearge regardless of the conception people had that it is until you include *555*1*, with or without the *1* he still gets his commission. This form of income is called Royalty income or Passive Residual Income.
Few months ago Mtn had issues with NCC on sim registration. A statement was released that an average of between 25million - 45million nigerians recharge MTN daily.
Ladies and Gentlemen this simply means that Olusegun Obasanjo earns about N25m -N45m every 24hrs of his life for the rest of his life and he can also pass this income to his children and generation(Legacy).

In the same manner Obafemi Awolowo had an agreement also with Coca cola that even in his death for every bottle of Coke opened in Nigeria, commissions go to his family.

It is better to work harder on a business that can keep paying you even when the activity that brought about the income is long gone. Buying and selling gives active income because if you buy and you can sell then its a problem meaning you have to exchange the activity of selling for income once this activity is stopped your earnings stops also.

In 2003, I met a world class computer programmer who designed a software that would automate Jamb registration, examination process etc. I told him to sell the software to Jamb and request for N5 on every complete registration via the software and knowing the Nigerian government so well, instead of paying him they would just add N5 to the Jamb registration so that applicant would be the one paying. Implementing this with the current statistics showing that an average of 7million people write Jamb annually, this means he should be earning about N35million every year for the rest of his life. But because he listened to his friends who told him Jamb registration process cannot be changed, as it has been so will it always be. He trashed his idea and few years later he saw it happen. Right now what is obtainable is that you cant even register for Jamb exam if you dont go online. Same with Nysc registration now

Introducing Eklipse consults, a company that advocates for business oppurtunities that has the potential to provide passive residual income.

Eklipse consults says, In business, never go passionate about something that cannot earn you a fortune.
In explaining this, a consultant Mr Jimi of eklipse consults asked a question at the company launch on June 11,2016 in Enugu and he said.
"Take your mind back to about 10-15years ago when Atm machines were just been introduced to the Nigerian community. If you were given an oppurtunity to promote this machines by talking to any bank branch on why dey should av it installed and once they agree, the company delivers and install while the bank manages and run. If you where to earn just 5kobo on every cash withdrawal via that machine because you promoted it for the rest of your life would it be a good business now?
That is for every person that withdraws even if its N1000 from the atm, 5kobo comes to you for as long as that machine is working and dispensing.
Looking at the rate of disposition of atm machines now we can say it would have been a perfect passive income system.

No one is inviting to come for a seminar, business meeting, networking syndrome and all, Just drop your mail, I'll forward the pdf file to you, take your time to read through to understand how it works, ask your questions and most importantly please endeavor to leave a feedback comment here on nairaland because so many have used this model to promote illegal, money stealing schemes so many reading this even find it hard to drip their email due to experiences in the past.

Just drop your valid email, dont bother putting down your name or number. Just your mail.

Literature / Re: 10 Books You Should Read In Your 20’s by GistHub(m): 8:38am On Jul 01, 2016
4once:
Life presents a challenge to everyone who is living: the challenge of living and excelling.

However, this challenge is made easier if you have guidance: that is where the 10 books you should read in your 20’s feature.

Why?

The years between 20 and 29 are the years of abundance: ambition, power, love, sex, lust…but ironically, this same period is one that is characterized by the most gross stupidity – as most major mistakes in life are committed during this period.

So how do you avoid that mess of youth and live without regrets? Simple: Read these 10 books you should read in your youth and take their content serious! They may be your life saver!

The Holy Book of Your Religion

The Holy Book of the religion you believe and practice is very important. Great chances are that it is the religion of your father and his forbears. Now, looking stupid about an article of faith you profess is not the best of situations, I guarantee you.

As a side point, the various books of the numerous religions also have wisdom that is incomparable to contemporary logic. My bet is that you’d never find logic as sound as that presented by the scholars of old!

Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

This book, sure will teach you a few things you do not know about money and the financial system of the world.

In turn, you’d avoid teaching your children the prejudices you are most likely to teach them – that is, if you fail to read this book.

The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason

This is sure a great and timeless classic. The book teaches the rudiments of wealth and outlines how anyone can amass wealth irrespective of where he/she currently is on the economic ladder.

It is quite an inspiring book in the sense that it teaches wealth creation in a step by step fashion. If after reading this book, your finances are still in a mess, then I don’t think anything can be done to save you!

The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli

Looking to have a realistic picture of what your fellow man is and what governs him? Then, this is the book to read!

The reason why this book is among the 10 books you should read in your 20’s is that it presents man in his true and basic color: it tells you exactly how selfish humans beings are and ensures you do not start life with an innocence in human beings that tends to trust all – even to your detriment!

The Art of War by Sun Tzu

The joy of this book is that though it is supposed to be a Treatise on military strategy, the points illustrated in the book can be used to great effect any day or time with the same astonishing results.

The book prepares one to be ferocious when the time and circumstance call for it and also calm and gentle when the moment dictates. Indeed, it is one of the books you MUST read in your 20’s.

The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene

In this world we live, its either you seduce or are seduced. Not literally anyway…When you have to respond to another’s whims and caprices, that’s seduction!

Now, you’re definitely going to be doing a lot of persuasions (seductions) in your adult life: your love, your boss, your children, your in-laws, etc. It’s a book you should read in your 20’s by all means.

Why?

Because even if you have no intention of persuading anyone, at least you should be guarded against the often malicious persuasions of others.

The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene

This is one book you must read in your 20’s.

The beauty of this book is that it portrays the active play of power and the often cut throat action that follows it in a language that resembles poetry…Here, anyone can feel like the boss, know what it is like to wield power and actively guard against its use on him/her.

This is a book you should not celebrate your 30th birthday without.

The Mafia Manager by V

Hey! This is the most sinister of the list – the author simply wants to be identified as V.

Anyway, apart from the fact that he does not want his full identity known, the advice he offers in the book is simply irresistible! If you’re thinking it’s some Mafia style, relax – nothing of the sort.

V, however, succeeds in bringing the Mafia genius into everyday operations. And the result, as V lets his readers see, is quite practical!

As a Man Thinketh by James Allen

This 1903 classic holds to all who have imagination, the power and key to limitless accomplishments!

There is nothing that cannot be achieved if a man sets his eyes to it – that is the key message of the book.

Why it is recommended as a must read before the landmark 30 is that after that age, man is oft to doubt more than it is good for progress!

However, if the message contained in the book is religiously followed, man is sure to make an impact on earth more than Napoleon or Alexander the Great.

Any other book you should read in your 20’s that I missed

More than 1 omission? Sorry, lets hear about it in the comment section.

iLegend:
These 5 books helped me the most in life. Let me see yours.

These are books I'm not supposed to reveal to anyone. They're my secret weapons.

Revealing it will make me expose my secrets.

I'm thinking of not posting this.
I'm not really cool posting this, but I know this will definitely help somebody.

Something is pushing me to press the submit button!

I hope the wise boys/men in the house will take advantage of this.

If you're a lady let your boyfriend or male friends know some of these books. But the side effect is, if they know all these you'll probably lose them to other women.

Women can't resist a man who has the qualities contained in these books and it does not require money, height or looks to acquire them.

I can kill for these books. I guarantee 100% success on these books!

These are my Top 5 Practical Books Ever.

5. Comedy Writing Secrets by Mel Helitzer.
(I have a natural sense of humor, but this book amplified it. Be careful with this book. You might become funnier than Okon.)

4. 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
(Some people love to use others, but this book stops it or make you become a better player on deception. Be carful with the dangers of this book.)

3. Double Your Dating by David DeAngelo.
(I never knew my ways around women. This 90 page book changed me in hours and I couldn't believe it. This would've been my number one.)

2. Sex God Method by Daniel Rose.
(I was boring in bed, but this book stopped it. This is only for bad boys that want to get a girl addicted to sex. Be careful, you're about to hurt another man's daughter via sexual addiction. Being so good in bed is FAR better than being so good with books.)

1. Eja.culation Trainer (ETrainer) by Matt Gordon.
(I never lasted long enough during sex, but this book practically blew me away and placed me among the 1% of men that can last forever in the bed without any enhancer. If not for this book my sexual ego or my overall confidence would've been on ground floor.)

Notable Mentions:

Dangerous Man Adventurous Woman by David Dida.
(About women and their crazy wishes.)

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hills.
(About business and being rich.)

My Secret Garden by Nancy Friday.
(About female fantasies and how naughty women truly are.)

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
(About money and being rich.)

How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
(About humility and being a leader.)

English Blue Grammar by I can't remember.
(About simplified grammars and punctuations.)

— Too numerous to mention.

I don't know if I still have these books again. I had all the soft copies of these books, but it's better you buy them from the Authors, else you'll not value them.

My secrets are gone!
God, I hope I won't regret this.

I'll probably take this down if I wake tomorrow morning feeling bad!

Share your top 2, 4 or 5 books with us. The ones you are practically applying in your day to day activities.

iLegend.

Modify: Yes, we all know the greatest books are religious books like the Bible and Quran, but we ain't talking religion here. Please bear with me on that. Maybe I'll post top 5 Evergreen Books!
Could you please send those soft copies to me via Hoipolloi.aa@gmail.com abeg
