Emeka Emmanuel, a 29-year-old man has been arrested for parading himself as a staff of EFCC.

Emmanuel is alleged to have duped innocent citizens under the pretense of providing them employment with the EFCC as operatives. He was arrested on the 14/09/2019 at about 1100hrs at Iyana Iba and he was in possession of a fake EFCC ID card which he used in parading himself as an EFCC operative.

One Olaposi Semiu ‘m’ of Agbara, Lagos who is one of such victims. He told Police Investigators that the suspect collected the sum of N51,000 from him over a month ago with a promise of securing employment for his son as an EFCC operative.

The suspect has confessed to the crime. He was also found operating illegal medical facility in his residence. Other items recovered include medical equipment and fake certificates.

The lifeless body of yet another lady has been found in hotel in Rumuola area of Port Harcourt, few days after another lady was found dead in another hotel in the Rivers State capital.

Though what led to the death of the yet-to-be identified lady is unknown, it was learnt that the police are at the lodging facility to open up an investigation into the murder incident.

The targeted killings of young girls in Rivers State, had led to a belief of a serial killer leading the attacks as "all his" victims have been found in similar scenes.

Lady Thank Bikeman For Saving Her As Soldier Tried Raping Her For Wearing Camouflage.

A Nigerian lady took to Twitter to thank a commercial motorcyclist for coming to her aid after a soldier allegedly tried raping her for wearing a camouflage.

@mideice_ said the soldier who accosted her and the commercial motorcyclist at CMS Bus Stop in Lagos forced her into his (soldier) motorcycle. The soldier didn't reveal where he was taking her to but diverted his bike to a dark spot where he wanted to rape her.

The commercial motorcyclist whose bike the lady boarded, however came to her aid after secretly trailing the soldier.

Y’all should help me thank God oo one unfortunate soldier wanted to rape me cause I was putting on something similar to camo he told my bike man to drop me and he was on bike too. At first I don’t know my offense I was ahh kini monshey?

The Niger State Police Command has rescued a three-year-old boy, who was abducted and sold for N300,000 by one Bose Isaac to a woman in Ogun State.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, confirmed this in Minna on Thursday.

It was gathered that a team of policemen attached to the Kagara Division were dispatched to Ogun State to arrest the suspected buyer.

Northern City News gathered that the suspect escaped from her residence on hearing that the police were on her trail.

Abubakar said investigation led the police to an orphanage in Lagos, where the boy was kept.

According to him, police detectives had to pay a second visit to the orphanage when they could not find the victim during their first visit.

However, a tip-off by vigilant citizens led to the boy’s rescue from the orphanage on the second day.


Isaac was arrested after the victim’s father, Gambo Shua’ibu, of the Cikin-Gari area of Kagara in the Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, reported the disappearance of his son to the police on August 24, 2019.

The suspect confessed to abducting and selling the boy to an unnamed woman based in Ogun State for an agreed sum of N300,000.

The suspected child trafficker will soon appear in court to face trial, according to Abubakar.

The remains of Zimbabwe’s former president Robert Mugabe arrived at the country’s main airport earlier today but his final resting place remained a source of mystery amid a dispute between some family members and the government.

Mugabe who ruled the southern African nation for 37 years until he was ousted by his own army in November 2017, died in a Singapore hospital five days ago.

Crowds had gathered at the airport well before the scheduled arrival time, with some people wearing T-shirts bearing Mugabe’s face and others with Mnangagwa’s image, while music blared from loudspeakers.

A convoy of 4×4 vehicles with number plates bearing the letters “RG Mugabe” and the former leader’s signature were also on the runway. Mugabe’s wife Grace and Zimbabwean Vice President Kembo Mohadi were among those accompanying the body of the former leader on the plane.

President Mnangagwa, top officials and other Mugabe family members were at the airport to receive the body.

An operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Benin, the Edo State capital, Williams Oyibogare, has died after allegedly committing suicide at his home located at the Giwa Amu area along Airport road in Edo state.

According to reports, Oyigbogare was found dead with two bottles of pesticide, Sniper, by his corpse.

Confirming the incident, the Spokesman for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, said the incident has been reported to the Edo state police command and investigation has commenced.

“It is true that one of our operatives died. The police have begun an investigation into the matter and we hope to hear from them soon. That is all we can say for now,” Uwujaren said.

Commenting on the incident, the spokesprson of the Edo state police command, Chidi Nwabuzor, said investigations into the incident has commenced. Nwabuzor disclosed that an autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

A Twitter user took to the platform to let out his shock of being charged for "VIP Seating" at a lounge he visited at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.

Revealing that he has never been charged for sitting on a chair all his life, he also expressed surprise of the "VIP Seating" being more expensive than the food he ate at the lounge. He tweeted;

Just for sitting on their chair is more expensive than the food I have never paid for just sitting on a chair in my life. Even if you put a gun on my head I will never come close to this side of this airport again.
