Three doctors have been arrested in Congo over the murder of a World Health Organisation (WHO) epidemiologist. The arrested doctors had been working to try to stem the epidemic in North Kivu province when a Cameroonian doctor, Richard Kiboung was shot dead in April at a hospital in Butembo city.

A military prosecutor, Jean-Baptiste Kumbu made this known as the country continues to battle a deadly Ebola outbreak.

The men will appear before a military court, he said, adding that they are charged for terrorism and conspiring to kill Mouzoko for motives of hate and jealousy. Mouzoko was an epidemiologist deployed by WHO as part of its response to the Ebola outbreak.

WHO said the killing took place during a coordination meeting at Butembo University Hospital. A fourth suspected doctor is still at large, he said, and dozens of militia members will also be charged in connection with the crime.

Numerous militia groups operate in eastern Congo, most fighting over the country’s rich natural resources. Authorities and aid groups have also had to deal with a local population suspicious of health workers and there have been numerous attacks on clinics, hampering the response to the outbreak.

More than 1,800 people have so far died of the virus. The World Health Organisation declared the outbreak an international health emergency in July.3

BBNaija housemate, Omashola, broke down in tears last night as he recounted how he lost his ex-girlfriend because of his bad behaviour.

Omashola openned up while he was settling his scores with fellow housemate, Frodd, who he had a spat with because of Venita some few days ago.

Recall that Omashola showed so much interest in Venita when she came into the house newly but she however ended up with Frodd. This caused a friction between both men.

While they settled their scores, Omashola pointed out that he will never allow himself and another man fight because of a woman or money.

He went on to share how he lost ''the most beautiful girl in the world'' because of his bad behaviour. According to him, he sent his mum a picture of his ex while they were still together and his mother who appeared to like the girl, asked him to hurriedly take her to his dad. He added that when his dad saw his ex, he asked him to marry her. Sadly, he behaved badly and the girl dumped him a year ago.

His tears showed he is still grieving the loss of the relationship.

35-year-old man has committed suicide in the Ijanikin area of Lagos state.

According to police reports, men of the Ijanikin Police Station received a distress call on August 3rd about an unidentified man who was lying dead inside a bush beside the bridge at Adio bus stop area of Ijanikin Lagos.

A team of homicide detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer visited the scene.

At close observation, one plastic of Snipper suspected to have been taken by the deceased was found beside him. The police say photographs were taken and the corpse was removed and deposited at Mainland General Hospital Yaba Lagos for autopsy.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing.

An Anambra cleric, Bar. Ejike Nwachukwu, on Sunday said that pastors who accepted monies from Internet fraudsters popularly known as yahoo yahoo were attracting curses upon themselves.

He said internet fraudsters were not different from killers, while their actions were not different from those of armed robbers.

Speaking in Awka during a special Sunday service, Nwachukwu, Head Pastor of Rhema Deliverance Ministry, decried growing trend of youths going into internet fraudsters to make quick money.

He also regretted growing trend of such fraudsters visiting churches for prayers for them to succeed in their plots, urging his fellow pastors not to pray for them.

He said, “If you are a yahoo boy, you are a thief, and there is nothing different between you and an armed robber.

“You collect people’s money under the guise of doing business with them and you disappear, and you inflict a lot of suffering on them, to the point that sometimes they even die and you come to me for prayers. I will not pray for you.”

Revealing how he rejected N4million “seed offering” offered him by the fraudsters, the cleric said he was forced to walk them out of his office.

He said, “Two young men came to my office the other day with N2million, they said it was for seed offering, and that they had a business they were believing God to materialize soon, and that the money is for seed offering.

“I looked at them, two young boys with N2million. I asked them what business they were expecting and they said it was a deal, and that they would bring more money to me once the deal paid off, and even promised to buy me an SUV.

“I prayed and the Lord revealed to me that it was internet fraud, and I told them so and they confirmed it was true.

“I walked them out of my office, but only one left and returned with extra N2million, in the hope that if the money was big, I would accept, but I sent two of them out.”

Nwachukwu lamented that lots of Nigerian youths were very creative, but instead of channeling their creativity into something useful, they preferred to indulge in fraud.

He wondered how two young people would have N4million and cannot use it to begin a meaningful venture.
