Mama, if you ask me, i will not try that thing again o. I have watched plenty delivery videos, so i just decided to try what i watched. i knew that the clip is placed before they cut the cord, so i just followed instinct. Omo, come and see blooooooooooood after i cut the cord. That thing is not for the faint-hearted.

This my fake doctor hubby almost poured cold water on baby shocked, i screamed nooooooooo. i just asked him to bring flannels and wrapper, and i wrapped him very well, padded myself and he called our neighbor cheesy

What if a FTM happened to give birth at home surprisingly like you do? And no body around? Referring to how to clipped the cord and cut it. Any risk or disadvantage involve?

Mama, I told hubby to call our neighbor from the onset since we didn't have a car because I suspected that it might be false labour, but hubby said it can't be ( I don't know when he became a doctor cheesy).

To your question, I didn't ask the midwife or any medical personnel in the obstetric field lipsrsealed. I think I will ask.

Okay..congrats mama…just curious….was your first time this easy?

This was my first BS in 2019

When baby was 38 wks, I was getting tired already. Frequently urinating, waist pain, etc. I didn't want to get to 40 wks, because I submitted request for my maternity leave .

When baby was 39wks, I started taking zobo, at 12:40am, January 31st, contractions woke me up. I thought it was just cramps, I laid down to sleep again. After about 5mins, it came again. Then I decided to time this "cramps".

It came every 5mins, then reduced to every 4mins, then reduced to every 3mins. I woke hubby and told him it was time to go to the hospital. We looked for cab, we couldn't get, hubby went to ask a neighbor to take us to the hospital.

Got to UPTH at 2:50am, normal saline was fixed and labour progressed. I was 2cm dilated already, not until about 5:35am, I was checked again and I was told I was 4cm dilated. The midwife asked that oxytocin be added to my drip. Around past 9am, I was 8cm dilated. In all of this, I was in serious pain.

By past 10am, I was fully dilated, but baby wasn't descending. By this time, I was on the 3rd drip (plus oxytocin). The drip flow was increased, baby descended, and I was asked to push.

I saw stars, my jajaina was on fire. I tried pushing like 3 times and told the midwife that I was tired, she slapped my thighs and asked me to push again, I pushed again and baby was out at 11am weighing 3.3kg, crying his lungs out.

I had a big tear, placenta was delivered. suturing time was another stars seeing time. I was cleaned and I ate. Took my bath and we were moved to post natal ward. He was born at 39wks, 5days.

What!!! Pls share the full gist….ejo.bikonu….thanku cheesy

That was my birth story cheesy

I was waiting to see my period in the month of February but when I waited till second week of March and it didn't show, I had to run a pregnancy test at home with the strip. Na so the red lines show shocked

Didn't plan to get pregnant at that time because I wanted a December baby grin cheesy, all the same I thanked God, did my calculations from LMP and carried on with the journey. LMP's EDD showed November 1st but after my first scan at 13 weeks, EDD was October 29th, I said better for me grin. I joined team October here

The journey was smooth, except for the early morning vomiting after brushing cry and a few cravings.

Fast forward to 6th of October, We didn't have soup at home so I decided to cook soup. While doing that, I had this pain in my pelvic region that comes and goes. I just thought it was as a result of the fibroids so I endured the pains and continued cooking my soup embarassed.

Around 11pm that night, the pains became severe, and I was sweating, I went to the bathroom to take my bath and went back to sleep. Around 1am, the pains returned and I had to wake hubby. The pains continued and I was sweating profusely, I removed everything I wore and asked hubby to turn on the generator. When the pains came within 5mins interval, I told hubby to go and call our neighbour to come and take me to the hospital. He said no because I was only 36 weeks gone.

I had the urge to poo, so he took me to the toilet and stood by the door, I only looked a little and stood up that I couldn't sit on the toilet, the urge to poo came again while I was standing in the toilet, so I pushed, then I felt baby's head in my Vagina, I told hubby that baby's head is here, he said it's a lie, I was almost crying while telling him that I was not lying that he should look, he bent down to look and saw baby's head, I had another urge and I tried to bend down and push, that was how baby came out and hubby quickly stretched his hands and baby landed in his hands, and I felt relieved around 3:15am

Hubby became confused, I asked him to get the cord clip and razor blade in the hospital bag. I clipped the cord and cut it. I asked him to bring flannel to wrap baby, bring pad and pant for me, bring wrapper, then he should go and call my neighbor. He quickly called my neighbor. The man and his wife took me and baby to the health center closest to us.

The nurse that lives in the compound, deliver the placenta and stitched the small tear I had. She cleaned baby up and moved us into the room to rest. Came back home around 9am that same day. grin cheesy

That's how my second came three weeks to due date, and with fast labor. Omo, it's only the clothes on me and a few items that followed me to hospital.
There was no clothes for him after birth, talk more of others.

I gave birth to my son at 36weeks and he was born in my toilet. I thought I wanted to poo. It was my neighbor that took us to the closest health centre to remove placenta and be stitched. cheesy

mk una no vex ooo cs i have being reading alot about taking care of baby skin cs my first baby experience about skin care is nothing to write home about cs my baby suffered in d hands of ela which is called dermatitis in english... Tnx to almond leave dt comes to d rescue. I learnt dt baby dnt even need all this set of designer, perfumed oil, cream, powder or soap.... U dont even need dettol or all dis strong antiseptics bcs baby skin is too tender 4 all this strong chemicals in d products.... Ordinary perfumed oil, soap or cream danage ur baby skin, causing an outbreak of alefo n ale on their skin... Moreover, babies r not even dirty.... So wat u can do is dt... Just get ursef adi agbon (coconut oil) use it alwz on ur baby skin n hair, u dnt even need powder, dont use dettol or any similar stuff like dettol on ur baby, neva eva... Use ordinary warm water except if ur baby is a boy n u need to take care of his circumcised penis, just apply it to dt particular area only, as 4 d soap use any baby soap that have no perfume in it... To avoid ela or alefo or any other skin problem nursing mothers face in Nigeria... I have said my own... It was wen i stop doing follow follow using all dis chemical based baby product, my son was free frm ela... I still use coconut oil on his body till date... Lookin fresh n happy

I used only olive oil on my first son from head to toe. I am doing same with my second son. No time to dey worry about skin care products. I use palm kernel oil on my own skin, and we are all good.

I bought bag of rice, half carton of fish, yam, groundnut oil, packs of spaghetti, sardines, etc and i was wondering how my money disappeared.

Even if you are not buying frozen chicken which is not fresh and expensive, to buy and kill an old layers cost almost 2700 naira, that is just for meat. cheesy

Things are quite expensive in the market now. I don't bother myself about market. Hubby does that because I can't be getting unhappy anytime I go to the market because of price hike in foodstuff.

Just yesterday hubby told me that Kings vegetable oil is now 8k, small time now, person go dey measure everything for house. Gas is now 8300 for 12.5kg. cheesy grin
