Good evening all,
Senior mamas, please who use UPTH for immunisation? My son is 18 weeks old today, and according to his immunisation card, his next date is Tuesday 11th of June. I know UPTH usually have nutrition talk on Tuesdays (correct me if I am wrong). Please should I expect any vaccination or will it just be the nutrition talk?

You can put a warm compress against his stomach. Also lay him on his tummy under supervision. Comfort him and cuddle him a as much as you can. Other mamas will come and contribute inugo.

Please how do I deal with sore nipples. I'm a first time mum. Baby is just 1wk and 3days old. He sucks alot

BS! BS!! BS!!!

When baby was 38 wks, I was getting tired already. Frequently urinating, waist pain, etc. I didn't want to get to 40 wks, because I submitted request for my maternity leave .

When baby was 39wks, I started taking zobo, at 12:40am, January 31st, contractions woke me up. I thought it was just cramps, I laid down to sleep again. After about 5mins, it came again. Then I decided to time this "cramps".

It came every 5mins, then reduced to every 4mins, then reduced to every 3mins. I woke hubby and told him it was time to go to the hospital. We looked for cab, we couldn't get, hubby went to ask a neighbor to take us to the hospital.

Got to UPTH at 2:50am, normal saline was fixed and labour progressed. I was 2cm dilated already, not until about 5:35am, I was checked again and I was told I was 4cm dilated. The midwife asked that oxytocin be added to my drip. Around past 9am, I was 8cm dilated. In all of this, I was in serious pain.

By past 10am, I was fully dilated, but baby wasn't descending. By this time, I was on the 3rd drip (plus oxytocin). The drip flow was increased, baby descended, and I was asked to push.

I saw stars, my jajaina was on fire. I tried pushing like 3 times and told the midwife that I was tired, she slapped my thighs and asked me to push again, I pushed again and baby was out at 11am weighing 3.3kg, crying his lungs out.

I had a big tear, placenta was delivered. suturing time was another stars seeing time. I was cleaned and I ate. Took my bath and we were moved to post natal ward. He was born at 39wks, 5days.

Hello mama's. I just feel like expressing myself here. God surprised me with this baby and I've been so active and happy since then. Everything changed since we entered February cos Im team March. I think I'm scared and anxious. It's my first baby, I've been praying and asking Jah for help.

Dh can't stand pains, so he said I should ask how much an epidural cost. He is also scared I have a big fibroid which is outside d uterus.

Please, who have an idea of how much epidural cost in any Lagos hospital? Is there any mama in the house who had a VD with coexisting fibroid?

I don't know how much epidural cost in Lagos hospitals, but in UPTH it is free for now. Although before the person to give me the epidural came, I was already 8cm dilated.

Please and please do not get yourself worked up. Fear not, just believe God that all will go well. Pray that God will position Angelic Doctors and Nurses on your delivery day. I had multiple fibroids (4 of them), outside the womb. 2 large ones and 2 small ones. I had my prince through VD.

I never see road since I born. I'm now a mom of 3 with no help, my mom should be landing tomorrow hopefully I can come up for air from tomorrow. I feel swamped/overwhelmed, aches and pains everywhere cos I've not rested properly, I've locked myself in because I don't want to see anybody feeling depression setting in but I will fight it. Hubby helps out a lot, phcn have forgotten us for 8 months now + the terrible heat. So sorry for posting this here but I just needed to vent.

Hahaha. The last time i slept very well is the month of October. There are nights I cry sef, I am so tired as I speak but the moment I lie on my left side.... My baby will start kicking and rolling. He scares me sef, I sit up immediately. I agree with u that they start from the womb.

My baby will kick like he is dancing or having a party in the womb all by himself. My belly will just be going from left to right, then up and down. He did this during crossover service, I guess he didn't want me to sit, but I sat o cos my waist hurts alot these days.

The pressure down below is something else, sometimes I feel this "signal" from my jajaina region that can get to my anus region sometimes. I don't know if this is normal.

Pregnancy app says we are 36 weeks today, but scan says we are 37 weeks. May God help us carry our babies to term and deliver healthy babies in Jesus Christ Mighty name. Amen.

Mama chanbaby has given you the best advice. Do not look for what is not looking for you. Enjoy your package. Morning sickness dealt with me small and I began to wonder how mamas who had morning sickness throughout the first trimester coped.
