Honestly indrive is to blame, they exploited the poverty amongst drivers as a powerful weapon, to force passenger to quote ridiculous prices. Let me give you an example, i accepted a request on their so called oneclick for N9,100, i got zero response, only for the same passenger to now reduce his offer on oneclick to N8,000. Why would indrive allow such nonsense, if you use oneclick your price offer should only go higher not lower. The sad thing is that Bolt out of desperation have also now lowered their pricing standard. Eventually as all the local refineries were killed due to low pricing of fuel, which lead to inability for proper refinery maintenance, we are seeing increasing number of poorly maintained vehicles being used for Ehailing.

I would blame Bolt, not indrive.
Bolt caused the situation we are being faced with today.
I said it back then, it still stands the same.

Most of them jst enter address, they dont bother to confirm the accuracy of the Destination. Because we have so many streets with dsame name. E.g Animashaun( like 4 streets & roads like this in Surulere axis)

Today, na Agege my rider dey go but na Egbeda be the similar street name wey Indrive direct me. Another time one dey go Mushin(Ladipo) but na Agege dey indrive. One lady wan make me enter Ajao estate traffic from Island when her destination na Ilupeju. Na when i dey speed climb oshodi bridge she con shine teeth from back dey ask me Where are you going?

I have even wanted to ask that who are those drivers picking 1k-2k-3k-4k trips that I have been seeing sef?

How will someone have GOOD savings from deriving joy from taking 2k-3k-4k trips up and down with longer time of driving because it's a short trip with 1,000/km?

Imagine the number of trips one would do with that to gross 50k?

Not only that, starting your car from being parked and going to multiple places in large numbers.

There are some things one should not be seeing in this hustle in this current times we are at all.

I suspect that the vexing wey oga pearl dey display sometimes concerning wack trips being picked by drivers stems from this angle (I may be wrong).

But why I won't discourage those drivers from picking such mumu trips is so that they can continue doing that while someone like me can have options to pick my long trips with reasonable amount.

InDrive gave you 32k bonus . it would have made sense if someone can withdraw it or use it to pay both commission and tax deductions.

InDrive bonus doesn’t make any sense to me, they give you bonus still give you a stipulated period to use it or else, they wipe it back.



Thank God for my offline riders today, they were the ones that made my day.

29 trips in a week.
I wasn't chasing it, though.
I have been ignoring their bonuses since, cos all na wash.
Me wey fit work only 2/3 days in a week sometimes self.
This one just happened ni jare.
Winning indrive bonus, just fund account normally and ignore their mumu bonus.
I no just wan make the target waste when I only had two trips left.

Tell me how someone will be ordering ride from Ojodu Berger to ebute ipokodo in Ikorodu for 7000 and the person is expecting a sane person to accept the ride.

I just did two trips today to chop their 32k bonus and went home straight.
I was seeing prices today and I was just shaking my head.
We na never see anything.

Anyways, I learnt Indrive are doing some test trips to catch drivers that convert to offline or take the trip without starting the ride to evade commission payment. So if anyone is in that habit. Stop or you risk loosing ur account.

Indrive before, if a new individual signed up, it stamps the profile with 4.8.
Even, the new profile/rider would have to have like 4-5 completed trips before indrive would start uploading number of trips to their profile.
It used to be 4.8(0) for a new rider on indrive.

Secondly, I still have a question to ask those who convert trips to offline on indrive.
I see no ideal motives behind that act.
Indrive's commission is not overkilling nah.
Well, I never did anything conversion before, even when I was using bolt.
And, who refuses to start a trip because of how much commission?
Some people are just so unbelievable.

Yes boss, they are mostly Uber/bolt users who couldnt get ride on Uber/Bolt urgently so they create new account on Indrive. At lekki yesterday i saw the same 5(0) put a higher price(17k) but same ride details dey other accts(13k &14K) so i jst ignored as i figured it was those girls trying to get to the mainland by spamming orders

Na dem-dem.
That means Indrive has made a change to the new profiles/riders.
Cos it used to be 4.8(0) for a new rider/profile, not the 5(0) that's rampant now.

Wetin those bitter individuals wan gain from ordering fake trips?

Who are these people with 0 rides but 5 star ratings?
I know indrive used to start with 4.8 rating for a new rider-profile.
But who are these people?
And when I see ride requests from these people, it is always suspicious and seen as false orders, so, I don't pick, no matter how juicy it is.
Anyone picked rides from similar profile?

They are gradually phasing out negotiation, that's their plan.

One part of me thinks the same, but another part of me isn't agreeing.

I feel if they should phase out the negotiation aspect completely, then they must adopt the Bolt and Uber nature - fare increases due to traffic or longer route.

If they won't join bolt and Uber, then base fare (price per KM) must be considered and riders should not have the option to reduce price, except to increase it.

This, above, may put their company in jeopardy, because the reason indrive stays in market is because of the NEGOTIATION aspect which keeps people (riders) on the app.

Making indrive a one-click app. won't even work, except they want to lose riders and drivers at the same time.

Imagine drivers ignoring trips (one-click) while riders have places to go, won't the riders port to Uber or Bolt?

The bold na the real indrive's nightmare.

The one-click option will rather stay side-by-side with the standard.

In fact, dem fit later cancel the one-click option when they see that it brings nothing sensible.

My prediction about the one-click is that indrive is up to something with it, and it will be better if it increases drivers profit.

Indrive is cunning and very stingy - I'm sure everybody knows this.
Apart from the freedom to choose rides and negotiate, every other thing about them is scam (as you rightly said).
But it is worthy of note that indrive doesn't do card trips like others, so, because of this, there are a lot of things that might not work on indrive: being unable to withdraw bonuses is one.
Even, the bonus self, na only commission e cover, person is on his own with other charges.

You see that "one click" of a thing, na the riders I dey pity cos those who are ordering rides with that one-click BS will get frustrated when drivers don't pick their trips.
Any time I see that one-click orders, I go just dey laugh.
Though, some reasonable riders use that one-click and increase the prices to somehow fair amount, so, no driver go need to start bidding higher again.

Whichever way it is, indrive na real scammer .
Those people sabi the scamming work no be small.
Well, na the newbies and the greedy drivers go dey enter their scamboard.

someone booked me to island, I normally don't do trips to island. I plant myself at yaba, surulere, tire mushin and ikeja. I know how to charge for those places but the island is like survival of the fittest. Men are picking ikoyi to ikeja for 8k, fgs!🤮

Someone said that those drivers are mostly Suzuki and electric car users.
So, they are on their own.

This riders will bid rubbish price, before person try to negotiate, you will see "ride accepted"

Omo this people are not helping other drivers who have targets to meet

Ikoyi and VI are the least places to expect a well-charged trips.
Lekki phase 1 self is not left out, just that it gets better some times.
But once you enter from Ikate - Jakande/Osapa - Chevron/Orchid, your chances of getting good trips increase.
Drivers be planting themselves in VI, Ikoyi and Phase1.

The entire Lagos roads are not in perfect condition now, just avoid the worst areas and manage the ones that are fair.
Places like Ago Palace/Festac/Amuwo Odofin/Mile 2 and its environs/Apapa/Ikorodu/Ikotun-Egbe-Ejigbo/the whole Ojo axis, should be avoided by all means.

For island, updates have shown areas with extreme flood, na to avoid dem.

The rainy season that we are is really exposing the poor quality of roads they have done, and are doing.
There's a lot of road repair awaiting the government once we enter dry season.

If you can avoid the avoidable, just manage the ones wey you enter with unexpected flood.
