So, from January, 2026, indrive is increasing the commission and accusing it is due to tax by the Nigerian government. grin
Well, I no get issue with that as long as they're going to increase their base fare by 60%.
Otherwise, I will peacefully switch to Uber as the main cruise (thanks to baba Vela) and maybe using indrive as side support.
No loyalty in the hustle.
I no get strength for wahala, abeg. grin

@reverendfather
That's a long read (phew!).
What an adventure.
You have had a taste of what drivers see on daily basis. smiley
Lagos experience is x3 of what you experienced in the hustle in your Benin city.
I must commend you for your earnings so far as a test-runner.
That means, if na Lagos you run am, you're fit to make more than x2 net with the same expenses.
Now, I read where you dey think of dumping ur salary work for e-hailing.
First, note that this is peak period nationwide. So, don't let it push you 'YET'.
Before you can decide on switching to e-hailing fully, wait till February next year, then run the hustle and see if you're truly ready to take that bold step. Don't use this December to judge the hustle, it's not new to us.
Myself as a case study, yeah, I dumped my salary work for e-hailing with my full chest, cos my friends who are not even as agile as I am dey show workings doing bolt/Uber full-time.
With e-hailing, wetin I don achieve, my salary work no fit do half of it till today.
But, come back to Lagos first and run the hustle when the peak is over, na there you go know if you fit run am.
I no know how much your salary is, but e sure me say e no plenty, as you don dey think of dumping it since e-hailing don serve you over 300k within a short period already. grin
Indrive is reigning in Lagos, might not be same over there because of fare prices, that's why you no dey see ride there.

SHOOPSYN:
You can not imagine the kind of ridiculous fare some drivers are picking. Someone must have picked the ride the guy is talking about. Especially the 9-5 and side gigs geng. They just want to cover for fuel. Unfortunately, some indrive drivers are so unbelievable, out of frustration, they just want to move about(hard work), driving around like headless chickens. My advice is, they should download uber/Bolt rider app and sometimes check the ridiculous orders they've been picking this period. You run away from 25% doesn't mean you should give indrive riders all the 15%. Indrive is very interesting as is base on dynamic market.
Na true you talk.
Some have actually been doing that for a long time.
Cos something must be giving those week-head riders the hope that some driver somewhere will definitely pick their ride.
Make dem continue.

Where bolt is charging 26k is where indrive customer is putting 10,500.

Indrive have a lot of improvements to do.
Some people still dey judge these apps based on one trip?
You never see where indrive price on a particular trip beats both Uber and Bolt together?
Make we come conclude say indrive is better than Bolt and Uber based on that? NO!

Definitely, no experienced indrive DRIVER go pick that 10.5k trip cos they all know the real worth of such trip.
Las las, na the rider go tire and switch to Uber or Bolt when no driver is picking the ride.

You dey see prices on indrive both in the afternoon and evening/night time?

Indrive na real gamer (this period). ✅

I thought everybody has come to agreement that all drivers MUST always confirm destination area to their riders before starting the trip and moving an inch from the PU point.
Did you forget to confirm from her at the PU point ni?

She say na 100k her husband dey net daily, Omo naso shame catch me grin
I don't believe that woman. undecided
100k net daily for where?
On Sunday wey I merged Uber and indrive to work, my net was 108k after commission and fuel money, and I quickly retire home like around 9pm.
The work wey I do on that Sunday, I no fit repeat am daily, upon say we dey surge period oh.
Except the said man is using Lagride, cos na that one go give person x2 of whatever bolt/Uber is giving.
But with bolt/Uber/indrive, nobody fit repeat 100k net daily consistently.
But it is well sha.

Please is it the job of the driver to load and offload passangers luggage in the boot?
There's no harm in assisting.
You have no business bringing loads from their apartment or taking them inside their apartment.
Once they bring the luggages to your car, you can take it up and arrange them in your car carefully.
If you leave them to do that and they scratch your car and finally slam your booth, you no go like am.

Always allow the ride to ring out, don't cancel often.

A rider can set password on their app both on Uber and bolt, though it's optional. And you will need to input the password before you can start the ride.

The rating is the same as all platforms, na wetin rider rate you go show. Much respect baba.
Noted, sir.

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Glithronix: 10:56pm On Dec 14, 2025
Uber users, I have three questions;

1) When an incoming order pops up, do you only need to let it ring out, or you can as well cancel it and hope that doesn't affect rating?

2) I got a ride and when I arrived at the PU point, until the rider gave me a password before I could start the ride. That one surprised me. Does Uber give riders the chance to set password when they book a ride?

3) What and what affects rating on Uber?

Imagine if one gets penalized for ignoring incoming trips by letting them ring out...
Yeah, the prices also.
I downloaded the app as people dey hail am say it's more profitable, but with what I saw on the app this last Sunday, indrive still make sense pass them.
