Oh yes, the Bible is the word of God and it commands, "do not add nor take away from what is written therein". It was created to reprove, to teach and for every good work. But most Christians seems to only read the Bible only through their pastor's/leader's/elder's lips.
The Bible is clear and understandable. Little wonder the Ephesians never took what they learnt hook, line and sinker for the Bible said they were commended for going home to crosscheck on their own whether what they were taught was in line with God's word.
Now onto the issue of tithe, we read at Heb 7:11 If, then, perfection was attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for it was a feature of the Law that was given to the people), what further need would there be for another priest to arise who is said to be in the manner of Mel·chizʹe·dek and not in the manner of Aaron?
Clearly paying of tithe was a thing of the levites and here it becomes clear that perfection was not attainable through tithe. Further, the apostle said at Heb 7:18 So, then, the former commandment is set aside because it is weak and ineffective. 19 For the Law made nothing perfect, but the introduction of a better hope did, through which we are drawing near to God.
"Weak and ineffective" was his definition of the levitical order which the Bible clearly stated is done away with. Yes, there was a need for tithe but it ended when the need for a higher sacrifice came. So it becomes a sin for a Christian who reads the Bible to yet pay tithe as we see further in Heb 7:22 Jesus has accordingly become the guarantee of a better covenant.
If you yet pay tithe, you are undermining, underrating, under appreciating, debasing, ignoring, un-acknowledging the propitiatory sacrifice of our lord Jesus Christ which is a better guaranteed covenant and clinging to the shibolets of the levitical arrangement which has been done away with.
In other words, you are like the hypocrites who held on to their beliefs of Sabbath and the rest when Christ walked the earth and tried to correct them but instead they turned against him and killed him. Read your Bible well and repent. Peace.

Dear Nairalanders, please I need your candid advice on what to do or how to handle this emotional crises. My Mom had an accident and fractured her thigh bone. We had also been treating her for sugar prior to the time she had the accident. One day my auntie (my mom's younger sister) bought ice cream for everyone because the heat was killing, she also got for my mom but I stopped her from taking it. She really wanted it cos of the heat but I struggled to stop her from taking it because of her sugar issues. She eventually died some weeks later due to pain induced BP. Since then the only regret and guilt on my mind has been that day I stopped her from taking the ice cream and it makes me really guilty. Please how do I handle this emotional trauma because it's eating me up, would it have been better if I allowed her take the ice cream afterall she still died eventually. Any psychologist/Docs in the house? Please professional advice please.

The only organization with so much decency, peace, truth and tranquility are the witnesses. I wonder how anyone can tag them extremists. I mean they don't even make noise in their place of worship. As a popular pool, that hotel is supposed to have life guards on stand-by whether or not they're having a busy day at the pool It could have been prevented if there was a lifeguard to save them or at least raise alarm so they can be saved on time.

People that visit the pool have to observe the rules and know their limits. As a learner myself, nothing fit carry me go the deep part of pool.

their parents? is it how much u hate the family? they don't knw how to swim and most times pride and stubbornness, youthful exuberance are the cause. pools don't have life guard any where in d world, unless u speak of a teacher. unfortunately they felt they cud swim and so needed no teacher...

EFCC is half-baked, They shud have researched further. that money belongs to My grandfather and I'm supposed to inherit the money after my dad passed on but he was about disclosing the location when he breathed his last. Many firstborn Sons are grossly irresponsible and lazy. No offense to the Firstborns, but their problems starts immediately they start having that idea of "I am the firstborn" so I have lots of inheritance. they start fooling around, acting like a king. some can't even wash their own clothes, waiting on their younger ones to cater to their domestic needs like a prince. Many are just lazy and irresponsible and outright lazy so they fail to start life on time and end up trying to kill their Dad.

Just go to the section you want to create the thread.....like politics, romance, religion, tv/movies, computer etc. Then go to the top, by the left you will see "create new topic", click on it. It will show a little space on top where you can type the title of your thread, then it will also show a big space below, where you can type the message proper.
