A male suicide bomber failed in his attempt to attack a mosque filled with Muslim faithfuls in Sulaimanti coummunity in the outskirts of Maiduguri, Borno state today.

The terrorist, carrying Improvised Explosive Device (IED), was the lone casualty after the IED strapped on him exploded. 5 persons sustained injuries during the failed attempt.

President Muhammadu Buhari was given a hero’s treatment when he visited his hometown in Daura in Katsina state.
He was received by the state governor, Alhaji Aminu Masari, who had earlier encouraged indigenes of the state to troop out en masse to welcome their son.

On Sunday, May 8, President Buhari was hosted to a lunch by the Emir of Daura HRH Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk at the Emir’s Palace in Daura.

Barely two days after midfielder Patrick Ekeng died during a match of the Championship of Romania, the Cameroonian Football Federation has been struck by yet another tragedy.

The Cameroon football federation (Fecafoot) announced on Sunday, May 8, the passing of the goalie of the Femina Stars of Ebolowa, Jeanine Christelle Djomnang, during a first division match against club de Louves Minproff.

Based on early reports, the young woman collapsed during warm-up and died few minutes later.

Some Fulani herdsmen and their cattle obstructed the convoy of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State at Amakohia Orlu Road in Owerri the state capital this afternoon for up to 30 minutes.

The Governor was on his way to inspect a project when his convoy ran into the herdsmen and their cattle. They were however cleared from the road by the governor's security.

According to Zuma Hausa Times who shared the photos about an hour ago, several secondary school students lost their lives while others were injured following a fatal crash today. The students were on their way back to Kano after representing their school in a sporting event in Lagos.

It is a great disaster as the petrol station at Polly juncture cut fire this evening. Though the source of the fire was not revealed but rumour had it that as the petrol attendant was selling the fuel the nusele fell off the person's hands it stroke the tanker that came to deliver diesel and the fire exploded.

A lot of student ran out of their houses bringing out their documents and files and some shop owners were rushing out their goods begging the student to help them whit the load of which the students were kind enough to render their assistance the fire burnt for more than 2hours.

it was not a joking issue as some of the student help in getting water and luring it in the fire some went out of their way to climbing the roof of the houses just to protect the pole, as some student were even giving their life's to Christ as the incident alert them of how furious hell could be. Though no life was lost But the houses around the area were very hot. It took a while before the fire emagency service came in and it seem like the peril was over until their water finished and the fire continued after about 30 mnt they arrived again this time 2 of them.

The young man is Ghanaian. A man reportedly poured acid on him, leaving him completely deformed. The people who shared the pics said they are planning on raising funds for a reconstructive surgery. Quite sad!
