To give a product(offspring) through an irreversible reaction

The offspring feeding on progesterone(C₁₉H₂₆O₂) from the mother's breast
Drinking H₂O daily to quench thirst
Enjoying the breeze of air(Nitrogen, Oxygen, Carbon(IV) oxide, Neon, Helium etc.)
Sleeping on foam(polyester) or mats made from rubber(latex - C₅H₈)

We brush our teeth daily(fluoride to our rescue)
Bathing with antiseptic or medicated soaps(salts of fatty acids)
Putting on clothes made with cotton or fabric (polymeric substances)
Damsels putting on cosmetics, nothing but combination of chemicals

We gain nutrients(Iron,Manganese,Calcium) from food(composed of glucose - C₆H₁₂O₆)
Take drugs made from synthetic chemicals
Living in mansions built with cements and bricks (limestone - CaCO₃)
Painted with paints made of different pigments

We transport ourselves with vehicles made with Iron(Fe)
Fuelled with petrol and diesel (hydrocarbons)
Made with wheels of butadiene rubber
And leather seats made of polymeric materials

Writing with inks on paper
Silicon chips in computer and other electronic gadgets
Cassette tapes made of films of polyesters
And photographic films of silver are all due to the power of chemistry

Our forefathers lived on extracts made from herbs and shrubs
Organic chemist they should have been called
The "ori" and "adin-agbon" used by our ancient mothers
Makes them wonderful industrial chemists

From the soft drinks we take
To the alcohol(ethanol) we drink
Even to the money being minted
All are made by the power of chemistry

Pesticides keeps away pests
Herbicides prevent notorious weeds
Fertilizers enhance growth of plants
All these chemicals improves our production in the agricultural sector

We are dependent on Chemistry directly or indirectly
Consciously or unconsciously we have done numerous and limitless chemistry
From laughing to crying, belching to farting
If all these could be chemistry, then tell me 'WHAT IS NOT CHEMISTRY'

My experience.

When I gained admision to oau I was very happy, but I wanted to do biological science and I was given chemistry. I was just happy I got the admission and nothing more. I didn't take my time to find out about the course so I found out the hard way In school. One thing I want jambites to pls do before resuming. Find out about your course of study and stop waiting for any orientation programme, you might not hear or pick anything from what they will say and that's if you attend the orientation programme self.

I had my first f in year one as an undergraduate and I tell you it was terrible. I cried my eyes out. I had f in a 5units course, i just stared at the result for long and couldn't believe it was my result.Bad enough it was pasted with name and matric no. Typical of mathematics department in oau. They have got no chills for anybody, is none of their business if you didn't offer further maths in your secondary school. They teach like it's a continuation from secondary school further maths. They jump steps and keep telling you am sure you have done this in secondary school.

Gosh, those days i felt like strangling them and mind you I was attending classes regularly but still failed so it was that terrible.
I immediately checked out my friends results too and they all passed, even the one that had an f made me feel bad, then I remembered that movie "3idiots" .

It wasn't easy telling people my pains then, some were just curious not like they care. And then you meet senior colleagues telling you stuffs like and this the simplest maths o, they killed my spirit the more. That f did a massive destruction on my gp.

I consoled myself tho after 2weeks and made up my mind to change my course immeditely. A decision many found strange, they kept reassuring me I can do better but I knew better than to listen to them. I know where my strength lies and have had enough of the push. My parents wanted me to become a doctor by force by fire which took my 3years of writing jamb without still getting it.So I decided to leave humbly witn my 3rd class just in year one before they show me the way out (road 1).

Immediately change of course form was out I obtained mine fast and am happy in my new department.

At the end is all about being fulfilled and happy in whatever field you find yourself.

Stop allowing people push you around to satisfy their own aims.Live your own life and stop existing only, have a say on your life. So many undergraduates today are studying a course cos their parents wanted them to or the society or even for their own selfish aims and then we have so many unhappy youth these days. Aim at being fulfilled and then you find happiness abundantly.

hustle is real… This was the mgs he sent to me. So guys be careful who you help advertise and who you buy from here on social media. I suspected him when I asked his acct details and he sent a personal acct of a lady. Then I quickly went through his post and saved all his personal pix b4 he blocked me. He was shocked I have his real details plus where he is and the girl he used her acct. When I called him this morning on his real number which he didn’t give me, he was shocked hence all the beggingjoyjoy So guys be very very careful.
