ACSgrains1:Hi ACSgrans1 Welcome to Canada!. To answer some of your questions. I am also an internationally trained engineer like you and have lots of questions as a newly landed immigrant. What I did to connect with other engineers was to join "Community of Black Engineers of Canada" on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/groups/13889829/) founded by a Nigerian connecting everyone who identifies as a Black engineer from different parts of the world. From time to time different job opportunities are posted on their LinkedIn page and you know how important networking is in Canada. I saw an event coming up in a couple of days which you my benefit from. I will attach the flyer here. Feel free to connect with any member of the community in same area of specialization. I learnt there's a program coming up with job placement to fast track getting licensed in Ontario as an Engineer

Good day all, How can someone be part of the Open Market Operations. Saw on CBN website that there was one last Friday 3rd February. Please how do I ensure I do not miss out of the next one? Where should I look out for the next one. Thanks for all your contributions here. |
Hi, I have been using afrotradegroup for over 2 years now without issues. I guess rate is presently discouraging you. However you should be wary of scammers who may dupe you. The alternative that may work is if the beneficiaries have their account linked to PayPal you may send money to their PayPal account, but that will require using different cards to sum up to what is intended. One person have done currency trading with here on nairaland is justi4jesu hope I got the moniker right. Wish you well. |
Tadeus:pls how much can I get Ford escape 2012 leather seat delivered to PHC from Cotonou? |
Uhmm what more can I say. You keep exceeding my expectations. So many orders since my last update here. But you wowed me once more this morning. First call from u at 9 am was at point of delivery, By 10am alert despite the cheque customer gave you. I just don't know how you pull all these through. Thanks for the referral for my business. Great job. Great personality. Humility per excellence. You are the bomb and the rock at the same time. You may be relatively new in the business but oldies can learn a lot from you with respect to the professionalism. You d best jo. God bless your good heart. |
Integrity pays. That's the summary of my experience with this coy. From promptness in remitting cash collected to exceeding my expectations for deliveries outside port Harcourt. I have got more orders fulfilled by them than in time past. No more cancellation of orders. In the past two weeks, orders have been delivered to port Harcourt, Lagos and abuja with seamless cash on delivery as added service at no cost. Mr Clem is growing this empire one step at a time with professionalism. The sky is definitely your starting point. I am of the opinion that there are jobs in Nigeria the problem people have is getting honest people to partner with. Even a thief is looking for who he can trust his loot with. Enough said. Waka4u Don Waka all my Waka for me. You rock! Will keep updating here. Nairaland is my police, lol. |
Gave this company a trial last week as I had orders to be shipped within Port Harcourt and Uyo in Akwa Ibom. They were ready same day to pick up. I was not so surprised that the Port Harcourt delivery was same day but the Uyo delivery beat my imagination. By evening of the same day, the customer called me that delivery man was in her office. Mr Clement, if you can continue this way, then the sky is definitely your starting point. Kudos! More orders coming soon. Will keep updating here as you make deliveries. You ll add up to one of my successful businesses with nairalanders who are supposedly complete strangers. On this one, you have done well. Did I mention that one of the orders was cash on delivery? Thumbs up. I rest my case. |
RIP Djdola!!!! What a painful exit!!!! |
Sometimes’s a mothers instinct is all what that matters, not just what a doctor says. A UK woman, Lynn Seigenberg, who had spent nine years trying to conceive, after having been diagnosed with polycistic ovary syndrome was delighted when she found that she was finally expecting a set of triplets. This joy was however cut short when doctors warned her that the babies were at risk of a rare syndrome. She was told she was at risk of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), a life-threatening condition which can occur in identical twins sharing the same placenta. One twin receives an abnormally high amount of blood and nutrients, which can strain its heart, while the other becomes small and anaemic and may die. Lynn, 36, and her husband Leon , 42, at the time insisted they should keep all three – and against all-the-odds they were indeed born healthy. Lynn said: “I was shell-shocked and very scared when told to abort two of my children. I was also disappointed with the professional consultant that had that view. “How can a mother choose which of her children lives or dies? In the end our personal instinct kicked in. We had no medical proof that anything was wrong, but the consultant considered the risk higher because of my history.” Now her triplets will begin school tomorrow and she is filled with so much joy as to not aborting two of them. Now, four year-olds, Ethan, Logan, and Lexie are all beaming with health. Lynn said: “We are all very excited about the children’s first day at school. They will all be in the same reception class– they are wonderful.” http://www.mamalette.com/news-views/miracle-triplets-start-school-4-years-mum-ignored-doctors-calls-abort-two/

Lolz at other women's experiences. Mine are usually uneventful but my mum told me about hers. She had a craving for grilled whole chicken sold at a particular place on the island, meanwhile they lived on the mainland. she and my dad were almost at their destination when they remembered that she left water in the kettle on the gas cooker before leaving home. The craving immediately disappeared, which was more important: satisfying the craving or burning the whole house down? |
IVORY2009:I hope this new development is true. just found out they are my friend's kids. Omg!!! really short of words. please people pray if u can, do anything u can in ur capacity to find them. God bless u as you do. They shall be found alive in Jesus name!!!! |

SMH!!!This is the height of poverty. N500 to lose your dignity is dehumanizing. Working at a construction site at 1k per day or making building blocks from cement and sand at 700 per bag is more dignifying than this. Nigerian youth and women wake up from your slumber. Has the poverty eroded your sense of reasoning? |
proud to be an engineer!!
