FamilyRe: Teaching Our Children The Sense Of Gratitude. by gmcb: 2:59pm On Sep 25, 2014
God bless u real good for this post.
Got a toddler whose nice gestures have always been met with thank you from me. was not surprised when it came out as one of her first few words.
Meanwhile I meet others of her age who the only traits they exhibit are those of a child showing signs of wanting to be a bully and the parents give them a pat on the back as being sharp and smart kids. I inwardly shake my head for them.
God helping me, I intend training my kids by example cos it makes me a better adult myself. We unconsciously drop our bad habits as we consciously inculcate the right ones in them by the examples we show. Don't be a double faced adult to that kid!!!

sleemoon: Moreover I wasn't even tru wif d story... I planned on including d link nd d author after I post d finale.... Nigerians always jumping to conclusion...
Hey young man, you don't want to know the gravity of the offense of plagiarism. 'I planned on including d link nd d author after I post d finale.... ' is an unacceptable excuse before the law. If truly you had the intention of acknowledging her, you would have done that when the first person gave credit to you as a good writer.

Eh boy don't do that again, it's wrong!!!!!

She could ask for it to be shared. But to avoid being accused for plagiarism, the source should be acknowledged. Afterall I also got to know about her blog through a friend who shared it on Facebook but the original link was included.
You don't own the appreciation being given you here.

hey you sleemoon, just stop this now. how dare you take credit for someone's work. This story you have here is Fisayo Talabi's work from her blog. Am an ardent follower of her blog. This is really silly and unethical.

That's the blog above for those applauding this silly writer.

@hayoakins, that's a smart one, any rubbish quote from any of the, just threaten them via emails. They know its their loss if u dont pick up d item, so they've to apply some common sense
BusinessRe: Mini Importers: Dhl/Fedex/ Ups/Ems/Nipost And Nigerian Customs Public Feedback by gmcb:
@fellow mini importers, guess importation is for business purpose, from all d listed options NiPOST should be the cheapest but the most unreliable. If u'd ask me I'd say its a no-no. For me I use any of these courier coys as DHL or UPS will be too expensive and that might mean doing business at a loss.
InvestmentRe: Why Can't I Maintain My Saving Habit? by gmcb: 11:22pm On Apr 22, 2013
@op, save a fixed amount via an auto-debit arrangement for a year and start somfin in line wt realestate.
Have a yearly target savings and decide wt to use it for before the end of the years.
I always advise people to start projects that r bigger than them, that way u'd be forced to achieve somfin. If ur present salry and projection can build a 2bedroom flat conveniently in two years, stretch ursef a bit and plan for 2units of 3bedroom flat to be completed in four years. With that in mind, every income u get there's an autoreminder in ur mind on how many blocks/cement that income ll do.
Also whatever balance u ve, place it on tight budget.
Also be finacially accountable to someone in ds case ur fiance may do
Try it for 3months and u ll marvel at ur progress

Christianity EtcRe: Prayer Intercessors For Couples Trying To Conceive Babies by gmcb: 12:54am On Mar 27, 2013
Wow!!! This is the best thread ever on NL.
God is set to do a new thing wt ds revival. Cos we all av agreed on ds i see everyone's case being settled in Jesus name. I must confess that all TTC parents(cos its a matter of time they r all be parents) av been very strong, attending naming ceremonies of oda babies, peeps calling them aunty/uncle aft how many years and all that.
By His grace i dint wait but my parents did before they had me. u dont want to know what they went thru. Guess ds makes me mad at the devil each time i see peeps waitin for so long. Wicked devil!!!
Had a burden in ma heart to pray for a couple some months back when i noticed abt that time dt somtin had shele. Told ma hubi bt as a man,he said she's just fat,lo and behold he saw her few days ago, completely blown!!! Halleluyah.
For all of our mothers and fathers of nation. In the beginning it was commanded that man should be fruitful and multiply, barrenness is a disobedience to ds commandment. It's also written that all disobedience shall be punished, hence every manipulation from the pit of hell manifesting as unfruitfullness is cursed and u all are declared fruitful.
Henceforth do ur thing speaking the word wt JOY in ur heart,ur case is not closed. We did ds though funny in our first sessions aft marriage and got results even when we werent waiting. In all, all glory must be to d Lord.
Shalom!!!

FoodRe: Cheapest Soup by gmcb: 2:54pm On Mar 16, 2013
@pareto or warreva u call urself. Dunno who ll forever remain in the poverty section, u or d OP. A youngman is seeking advise that ll better his life, u r here blabbing dust. The OP has chosen to plan his life, failure to plan is planning to fail. He aint like who i presume wants to live a fake life to impress girls (at chinese restaurants and sharwarma joints) who av no interest in his future. OP decided not to eat his future today.
@Op,men are in sizes and life is in phases, u r living this phase now, NL is not going anytime soon and ll soon see u in the property/investment/business section speaking in trillions. This is just a phase. U'll soon not know how much ur wife spends on food. It's a matter of time
FoodRe: Moin-Moin Lovers, Come In Here! by gmcb: 1:55pm On Mar 16, 2013
How on earth did d OP know what was on my mind? On my food menu moimoi is on saturdays, so i made it last night against ds morning to avoid rushing to peel et al.
Like one poster said the big brown beans (guess its called olo 2 or drum in the local market) is the easiest to work with. Dont soak, aint necessary. Pour enough water to cover the surface the first time, sift the chaff and the excess water. Rub between palms for few minutes. When u are satisfied the peel is off, pour in enough water and sift the peel off. Repeat this quickly 3-4times and it should be ok. This shouldnt take more than 20minutes. Add enough onions, tatase or sombo and rodo. NO TOMATOES. Dont overload ur blended beans wt liver, beef, eggs et al or ore two of these options is enough. The simpler the better. Also if there's need to add water after blending, add warm water. Ur veg oil too should be warm. To achieve this i just add hot (not boiling water) with veg oil before introducing.
Blend at the local blenders cos it gives a better consistency of the paste than domestic blender(my observation though)

@all does anyone blend wt the domestic blender and get an excellent consisitency cos i was pissed last nite when the local blender told me i came too late (7pm) to blend. Wish i could do it indoor without her service. If any blender does the job kindly tell me the brand. Thanks
