what was the last movie you saw ? did you like it ? |
donnymikky:I see your point my brother. The problem with Nigeria is that, we never hold people of our own tribe/ethnic group accountable for their actions. Despite all the millions Alamiesiegha stole, the people of Bayelsa state still feel his treatment is unjust and he should be released immediately. Not one Bayelsan blames him for diverting funds meant for the oil communities to his own pocket. Instead, it is always Shell and the fed govt's fault. Give me a break. |
Ndipe, Pat Utomi can't win because the Northerners won't support him. If PDP is fielding a candidate from the North, do you think a southern candidate from an opposition party really stands a chance ? |
The people of the Niger Delta have been neglected for too long, but the federal govt has the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and 13% Derivation to help ameliorate the situation. Please lets not just blame the federal government. Rivers State collects around $100 million monthly and the people of the riverine areas are not seeing any of it. Lets also remember the Alamiesiegha saga. James Ibori has stolen so much from Delta state that, he is now offering to fund Yar 'Adua's campaign so the EFCC wouldn't catch him come May 2007. I think the federal govt waited too long to address the Niger Delta people's situation, so they are bearing the consequences. But lets hold others stealing money (besides the fed govt) accountable too. |
@donnymikky Na waa oo, I just noticed that you really are in China. How are you coping with the language ? Do they understand english that well ? |

Courtesy of Business day Feb 8th, 2007 The Federal Government has awarded contract on the civil works of the Mambilla hydro-electricity plant in Taraba state at the cost of $1.46-billion. The minister for energy, Edmond Daukoru, who briefed state house correspondents at the end of yesterday’s meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), said that the contract was awaded to a Chinese company. According to him, three Chinese companies, including the successful one, had earlier bid for the contract. He did not disclose the names of the companies. Daukoru said that the job would involve the civil and electrical works of the project. He said that the project, which would involve the daming of the Usam, Gembu and Ngu rivers, would generate about 2,600 megawatts of electricity. He explained that the project would be executed partly through a Chinese loan facility of more than one billion dollars and allocation of oil blocks to the Chinese government. Minister of state for power, Ahmed Abdulhameed, while giving further clarification on the project, said that it was abandoned even after feasibility studies was completed in 1982. He said that the study was reviewed by the Obasanjo administration to incorporate irrigation and tourism development. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I hope these power plants being built across the country come to fruition so we can enjoy reliable power supply in Nigeria. My brother, I think he owns a lot, including the properties you mentioned, but 172 houses ? Haba. If it is really true, then I am speechless. |
I read this not too long ago myself. I kind of have a hard time believing that Nnamani owns 172 houses (they all seem to be located in Enugu State). Its just unbelieveable. Anyway, lets see what others have to say about this. |
Because he is a freak the freaks come out at night ![]() |

mazaje:good point mazaje. All this ptdf fund allegations that obj is bringing toward atiku, why didn't he say anything from the get go, ie. prior to the 3rd term issue ? Atiku was fairly loyal at first, but he couldn't deal with obj's excesses as time progressed. That's the root of the matter. |
