Politics › Sowore Kicks Against Trump's Threat Of Military Intervention In Nigeria by God1000(op): 9:36am On Nov 02, 2025 |
The latest threat by U.S. President Donald Trump to launch military action in Nigeria, allegedly to protect Christians, may sound appealing to some. Still, history has shown this to be perilous.
Whether you are Christian, Muslim, animist, or non-religious, no one should celebrate such rhetoric. The United States and its allies have a long record of military interventions that leave nations more unstable than before. They failed to secure peace in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, or Syria, and they won’t bring salvation to Nigeria through bombs or boots on the ground.
What Nigeria truly needs is not a foreign savior but legitimate, accountable leadership —one that protects all citizens, upholds justice, and ends the cycles of corruption and violence that have left the nation broken.
President Donald Trump does not care about Nigerians, not Christians, Muslims, or anyone else. Our deliverance will never come from abroad; it must come from within, through real leadership (not the Tinubus of this world) and national renewal. #revolutionnow Nlfpmod mynd44 Dominique

A lion doesn't have to tell the world that he's a lion, this is absurd to me |
Foreign Affairs › Trump Orders Pentagon To Start Testing Nuclear Weapons by God1000(op): 6:18am On Oct 30, 2025 |
President Donald Trump said Wednesday he had instructed the Defense Department to “immediately” start testing nuclear weapons "on an equal basis" with other nations.
“Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis,” Trump said on Truth Social shortly before his highly anticipated meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea. “That process will begin immediately.”
The last confirmed nuclear test by the United States was in 1992, when President George H.W. Bush announced a moratorium on underground nuclear testing. The United States has the ability to resume tests at a federal site in Nevada.
China’s last known testing of a nuclear weapon was in 1996, and Russia’s recent weapons testing did not detonate a nuclear weapon, just the delivery technology.
Trump, who has lately sharpened his rhetoric about U.S. military capabilities, said the decision to resume testing was about reaching parity with Moscow and Beijing.
"The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country," he said in his social media post, later adding that “Russia is second, and China is a distant third, but will be even within 5 years.”
The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons lists Russia as having the most confirmed nuclear weapons — 5,449 to the United States’ 5,277. Together, the United States and Russia possess around 90% of all nuclear weapons.
Russia announced a test of a new long-range nuclear powered underwater weapon Wednesday and recently tested a nuclear capable missile.
NBC News has reached out to the White House for clarification on Trump's post — if he means nuclear capable or nuclear weapons.
Trump offered no answer when reporters asked about changing his nuclear testing plans.
During his first term, Trump sought a nearly tenfold increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal, NBC News reported at the time.
Earlier this week — in response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s testing a nuclear-powered cruise missile with "unlimited range," which he referred to as “a unique weapon that no other country possess” — Trump said he did not think it was appropriate for Putin to be testing such weapons.
“I don’t think it’s an appropriate thing for Putin. For Putin to be saying either, by the way, you ought to get the war ended. A war that should have taken one week is now in its, soon, fourth year, that’s what you ought to do instead of testing missiles,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Monday.
Trump earlier this year called denuclearization “a big aim,” telling reporters over the summer that "Russia’s willing to do it, and I think China is going to be willing to do it, too.”
“We can’t let nuclear weapons proliferate. We have to stop nuclear weapons,” he added.
Beijing, at the time, rejected Trump's appeal for China to join the United States and Russia in reducing stockpiles, saying it was "neither reasonable nor realistic."
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute estimated this year that the United States has 3,700 nuclear warheads and Russia 4,309. China has at least 600, an increase of about 100 each year since 2023.
Trump's social media post Wednesday sparked swift condemnation from some Democrats on Capitol Hill, including members of Nevada’s congressional delegation.
“This directly contradicts the commitments I secured from Trump nominees — and the opinion of Administration officials who certify our nuclear stockpile — who’ve told me explosive nuclear testing would not happen & is unnecessary. I’ll fight to stop this,” Sen. Jacky Rosen wrote on X.
Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev., said she would be “introducing legislation to put a stop to this.”
The Nevada Legislature passed a resolution in May calling on the federal government to maintain its moratorium on testing nuclear weapons https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/trump-orders-pentagon-begin-testing-nuclear-weapons-immediately-rcna240681?

The World Health Organization has said 460 people were killed in a hospital by RSF militants over the weekend. The news comes amid reports of ethnic killings as paramilitaries gain ground in North Darfur.
The World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday condemned reports of the killing of hundreds of individuals and their companions at a maternity ward in el-Fashar, Sudan, over the weekend.
In a statement, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, "WHO is appalled and deeply shocked by reports of the tragic killing of more than 460 patients and companions at Saudi Maternity Hospital in el-Fasher, Sudan, following recent attacks and the abduction of health workers."
"All attacks on health care must stop immediately and unconditionally," he said, adding, "All patients, health personnel and health facilities must be protected under international humanitarian law." https://www.facebook.com/100064359716848/posts/pfbid037NnUGAXyfGtThGWTu8E5JXW62J9iDRQg7XbmQ7mgQ8WYWGugpGRfvC7Sf1JjJoySl/?app=fbl

Foreign Affairs › US Navy Fighter Jet, Helicopter Go Down In South China Sea by God1000(op): 6:57am On Oct 27, 2025*. Modified: 8:01am On Oct 27, 2025 |
Two U.S. Navy aircraft from the USS Nimitz — a Sea Hawk helicopter and an F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet — crashed during separate "routine operations" over the South China Sea on Sunday, with all five crew members rescued and in stable condition as the Navy investigates both incidents.
The U.S. Pacific Fleet — the Navy’s largest operational command — said in a post on X that around 2:54 p.m. local time, an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the "Battle Cats" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 73 crashed in the South China Sea while conducting routine operations from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68).
Search-and-rescue teams from Carrier Strike Group 11, operating alongside the Nimitz, quickly launched recovery efforts and safely pulled all three helicopter crew members from the water.
Officials said the personnel were returned to the carrier for medical evaluation and were later confirmed to be in stable condition.
Roughly 30 minutes after the helicopter incident, an F/A-18F Super Hornet from the Nimitz, assigned to the "Fighting Redcocks" of Strike Fighter Squadron 22, also went down in the South China Sea during flight operations.
Search-and-rescue teams again responded swiftly, recovering the jet’s two crew members, who had successfully ejected before the aircraft hit the water. Both aviators were transported back to the Nimitz and are reported to be in stable condition.
The U.S. Pacific Fleet said in a statement that all five service members involved in the crashes are safe and accounted for.
The causes of both incidents remain under investigation, and the Navy has not released additional details about weather conditions, possible mechanical issues, or the nature of the training missions being conducted at the time of the crashes.
While investigators work to determine what led to the two mishaps, operations aboard the USS Nimitz have continued as the carrier remains deployed in the Indo-Pacific region.
The 7th Fleet based in Japan said Sunday that the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier strike group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit have been conducting "integrated expeditionary strike force operations" in the South China Sea. (Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Justin McTaggart/U.S. Navy via AP)
The Nimitz—the Navy’s oldest active aircraft carrier—is serving as the centerpiece of Carrier Strike Group 11, which routinely conducts freedom-of-navigation and maritime security operations in the South China Sea, waters that have become increasingly contested amid rising tensions between the U.S. and China.
The incidents come as the Nimitz undertakes its final deployment, capping more than 50 years of service since its commissioning in 1975. The carrier was previously involved in Operation Eagle Claw, the failed 1980 mission to rescue American hostages in Tehran.
The crashes also coincided with President Donald Trump’s visit to Asia. The president spent Sunday night in Malaysia, located along the southern edge of the South China Sea, and he was expected to depart for Japan on Monday. https://www.foxnews.com/world/us-navy-sea-hawk-helicopter-f-a-18f-super-hornet-fighter-jet-go-down-seperate-south-china-sea-incidents?Nlfpmod mynd44 Dominique

Foreign Affairs › Israel Would Lose All Support From The US If It Annexes West Bank, Trump Warns by God1000(op): 6:36am On Oct 24, 2025 |
Seemingly putting the kibosh on the Israeli right’s dream of applying sovereignty to parts of the West Bank, US President Donald Trump has said Israel would lose “all support” from the United States if it tried to move ahead with annexation.
The comments published Thursday by Time magazine were made by Trump during an October 15 interview, prior to the Knesset’s passage on Wednesday — in a preliminary reading and against the prime minister’s wishes — of a bill that would apply Israeli sovereignty to all West Bank settlements. Underlining the administration’s lack of patience for such efforts, Trump’s deputy JD Vance said Thursday as he departed Israel that the previous day’s vote had offended him and was “very stupid.”
“It won’t happen. It won’t happen,” Trump told Time, referring to annexation. “It won’t happen because I gave my word to the Arab countries. And you can’t do that now. We’ve had great Arab support. It won’t happen because I gave my word to the Arab countries. It will not happen. Israel would lose all of its support from the United States if that happened.” https://www.facebook.com/100068174061627/posts/pfbid044nvBMB3NVQQWho1VJZeMZCK8gpnhqyp1kCWCikv8FhPkb6zEJjWgUknhuqjaiinl/?app=fbl

Youths from the Igede ethnic group in Benue State on Tuesday took to the streets to protest the dilapidated condition of the Otukpo–Obi–Oju road, which connects their communities to other parts of the country.
Igede, one of the three major ethnic groups in Benue State, comprises Oju and Obi Local Government Areas located in the Benue South Senatorial District.
The area shares boundaries with parts of the Idoma land as well as communities in Cross River and Ebonyi states.
Wielding placards with inscriptions such as #FixOtukpoObiOjuRoad, the protesters blocked sections of the highway, demanding immediate intervention from the federal government to rehabilitate the route that links Benue to Cross River State.
The leader of the protesters, Matthew Adekpe, who spoke to journalists during the demonstration, lamented that the road had remained in a terrible state for decades.
Adekpe noted that the infrastructure was first constructed during the administration of former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, in 1988–1989, and had received no maintenance since then.
“This is the only federal road connecting Benue to Cross River through Otukpo, Obi, and Oju, and it has been neglected for 37 years. https://punchng.com/benue-community-youths-protest-bad-road/?

REGINA’S UNPROVOKED CARNAGE AND RAMPAGE IN MY HOUSE AND IN MY ABSENCE Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs. I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting 3 staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause. The truth is, I have set a clear condition for her to accept rehab in Asokoro or outside Nigeria especially Jordan where she will not have access to drugs. A clear headed regina would have taken moon to the hospital but instead she even threatened to kill our resident nurse(for exposing her drugs abuse). While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Politics › Yahaya Bello Hails Tinubu As Angel Sent By God To Fix Nigeria by God1000(op): 8:52pm On Oct 18, 2025 |
A former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has described President Bola Tinubu as the “angel” sent by God to fix Nigeria.
He said this on Saturday during an endorsement rally for President Tinubu and Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, which was broadcast by TVC.
Bello said, “We will not wait for God to send an angel with wings to fly into Nigeria to fix it. Did I tell you who the angel is? The angel is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. If you are waiting for that animation on the television, see an angel flying with a wing to come to Nigeria to come and fix it, you wait forever.”
Bello told supporters that Nigerians had long craved a “new Nigeria,” citing achievements such as the removal of oil subsidy, the introduction of student loans, the floating of the exchange rate, and policies that increased both government and individual wealth. He urged citizens not to wait for miracles, saying the “angel” tasked with fixing the country was President Tinubu himself.
He said, “Everybody continues to crave a new Nigeria, new Nigeria, new Nigeria. Before 2015, we said we wanted a new Nigeria where there would be no oil subsidy. We want a new Nigeria where there will be student loans.
“We said we want a new Nigeria where the exchange rate will be floated. We said we want a new Nigeria where there will be more money in the pockets of both the government and individuals. We said we want a new Nigeria where foreign investment will continue to flow in.”
The former governor acknowledged that the government cannot fix everything immediately. He noted that years of systemic decay make the process gradual.
He also promised continued support for Tinubu’s administration to ensure infrastructure and reforms are sustained.
He said, “Those of us and those of you who recognise that we are already in the new Nigeria, infrastructures are being fixed. Yes, no government can fix everything all at once because of the long years of decay in the system. It will take a while for anybody to be able to fix it. And Mr. President is fixing it, and he will fix it. We will support him to fix it.”
Bello emphasised the importance of legacy, stating that leadership without a lasting impact is meaningless. He said, “Going into the future, not only the 2027 election, not just his second term, we want a situation where Mr. President will leave his legacy behind, and people like us, people like you, and other well-meaning Nigerians will continue to uphold his legacy because leadership without legacy is zero. It’s as good as you never come to power.”
Bello concluded by reflecting on his own contributions, declaring, “Today, I am happy. I feel fulfilled. This is my legacy. These are my legacies. Some of my legacies are watching me.”
Bello’s endorsement comes as political momentum builds ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Tinubu expected to seek a second term.
Tinubu has been credited by his allies with introducing significant economic and governance reforms since assuming office in 2023.
These include the removal of fuel subsidies, the introduction of student loans, the floating of the exchange rate, and policies designed to attract foreign investment and boost national revenue. https://punchng.com/yahaya-bello-hails-tinubu-as-angel-sent-by-god-to-fix-nigeria/?

The United States will deploy 200 troops as part of a joint task force for Gaza stability and to oversee the ceasefire, with no Americans on the ground in the Palestinian enclave, two senior US officials said on Thursday.
The officials said the US troops would develop a joint control center and integrate other security forces that will work in Gaza to coordinate with Israeli forces to avoid clashes.
"No US troops are intended to go into Gaza," said one of the officials. Admiral Brad Cooper, the head of the US military's Central Command, "will initially have 200 people on the ground. His role will be to oversee, observe, make sure there are no violations," one senior official told reporters.
