TravelUk Lifts Restriction On Visa Application by Godalone(op): 7:31am On Jul 24, 2008
The British High Commission in Nigeria has said that with effect from Tuesday July 22, 2008, it has lifted the restrictions on its visa service.

The High Commission’s office in Abuja, through a press statement signed by Oladele Oladokun of its Public Affairs section said on Wednesday, that the resort to implementation of the restrictions on its service was due to unavoidable technical problems at the Deputy High Commission in Lagos.

The release stated that all categories of visa applications can now be submitted, adding that, the British High Commission had reiterated that its customer’s should know that it was still being forced to run a limited service for first time travellers to the UK.

Accordingly, it said that those who had not travelled to the UK previously should book an appointment to submit their application at its Commercial Partner's offices (VFS) in Abuja, Lagos, Ikeja or Ibadan respectively.

PoliticsRe: What Do You Think Of Mr President by Godalone(m): 11:40am On Jul 18, 2008
We cannot blame Yardua for not doing well or being slow,he did not prepare for that exalted position before OBJ selected him.I have said it in a thread that i cannot assess Baba-go-slow now until after 2 years in office.I must confess this regime lacks vision.

lucabrasi:
i don't know what to say about this really,on one hand they are trying to put a rein on the cleavage thing gone haywire amongst nigerian girls, and to be perfectly honest anyone that has experienced not just the dressing but the desperation of naija girls with guys once they perceive you are loaded will see where these senators are coming from, however on the other hand i think its time we moved away from the dark ages of girls wearing iro and buba or bou bou or even telling a girl what to wear, plus there are more pressing priorities for them to sort out so i think im sort of in the middle
don't be suprised the bill is getting so much airtime, its mainly the middle aged and old women senators and their friends whose husbands have been spirited away by these girls with "nuclear weapon cleavages" you know what they say, hell hath no fury like a woman,or housewife or whaever wife scorned, knowing how women are they will use all the powers they have to pass the bill grin
I always like your contributions.
PoliticsRe: Has Fashola Really Done Anything In Lagos State? by Godalone(m): 2:32pm On Jul 17, 2008
Fashola is not the messiah of Lagos state and he will never be because being a Messiah is beyond mortal body, but as far as Lagos state is concern he has done very well.

SENATOR JD:
when u have a bunch of ignoramus(not all of them) that don't know why they were voted in in the first place, have no idea what legislating is all about, have never in their lives been involved in any policy making process whether private or public, this is what you get.
with the million and one problems facing the nation, this is what they could sit down and waste tax payers money on?
Nudity bill.
teachers are on strike,ASUU wants to join,NUPENG might resume strike soon and all that this bunch of ***** can do is nudity bill?
its sadening and very disturbing
I am not surprised, they will start debating polygamous bill after this.

PoliticsRe: Has Fashola Really Done Anything In Lagos State? by Godalone(m): 11:41am On Jul 17, 2008
That i am not living in Lagos does not mean that i do not know anything about Lagos,i lived in lagos for 12 years,i left Lagos this year January,to tell you that i know what i mean here.If you have travelled round the country which i am sure you have not, you will know that Fahola has done very well.Your assessment is zero and your valuation is wrong. How do you mean that Fashola is full of destruction? He has even performed more than Baba-go-slow.
PoliticsRe: Has Fashola Really Done Anything In Lagos State? by Godalone(m): 9:43am On Jul 17, 2008
I have visited more than 28 states during this new regime, there is no Governor that has done what Fashola has done in Lagos State. Please travel round the country that is when you will know that this guy has done a lot for Lagosians.Forget about falomo, move round Lagos state that is when you will know his level of performance.Fashola is still leading,i am not living in Lagos but i visit Lagos every month i can categorically state that he has done very well.

Job placement in Nigeria is with sentiment and discrimination, even if you have what it takes to be considered for the job they will not give you.

PoliticsRe: Osun Judicial Mockery: Oyinlola Declared Winner By Election Tribunal Judge Naron by Godalone(m): 3:04pm On Jul 15, 2008
The outcome of the tribunal case is not strange, everybody has known that Oyinlola will be declared the winner of April 2007 election. This is a show of shame to the judiciary after it has compromised its standard.NJC, i do not know what it stands for any more.I thought judiciary is the hope of a common man,but i have lost confidence in Nigeria judiciary, this is what i told my brother who is a Chief magistrate Judge.I am sure AC will appeal but are they not going to meet thesame people there?

PoliticsRe: Fashola And Tax In Lagos by Godalone(m): 10:30am On Jul 15, 2008

PoliticsRe: Are Nigerians In A Hurry Or Is The Government's Agenda A Failure? by Godalone(m): 10:08am On Jul 15, 2008
Presently i cannot rate this administration,i am just waiting for the man @ Aso rock to complete 2 years in office that is when i can have substantial facts. The little i have seen now apart from the rule of law which cannot bring food to the table of a common man, honestly i have not seen anything again. It is not that Nigerians are impatient and we all know that vision 2020 can only be achieved as it is on the paper now.Seven point agenda is real but only one out of seven has been achieved,i think achieving 3 out of the 7 points will still be ok.
