its quite unfortunate.
Its not about bucks really but its really difficult helping others when your own basic needs arent met,when the society,family and friends expect a lot from you because they think as a doctor you should be making quite an amount of money.
the job is tasking,it takes toll on your health,working days and nights,it is also emotionally tasking empathizing with those in pains, all doctors are asking for are not limousines, no, they only want to be able to afford a decent living in nigeria.
Most of those who criticise docs are the type who would rather call a doctor friend on phone when they have health issues than go to the hospital, it must be realised that these health workers also have needs that must be met or esle we'll keep talking about brain drain till kingdom come, actually i don't think its brain drain,its more like brain flight!

I have a doctor friend serving in nigeria who was paid 18,000 a month!!! how appaling and you expect such a person to give his best in patient care? we must be joking!

There is no Medical Practitioner that is earning that ridiculous amount in Nigeria,even Nurse Muyiwa(Ward-maid) will not take that amount.Medical Practitioner should be paid well.
