For supporting documents for my dad, I attached supporting documents to prove that he is a clergyman and also documents to support his source of income.

I worked in a bank in Nigeria, my branch manager is here with her family as a student due to age constraints as she don big pass EE.
Just look for schools in cheaper places, avoid Ontario and BC where students now sleep in tents.
Nova scotal and those Atlantic provinces are good, sch is cheap there however due to the influx of students there, the few accommodations is getting expensive now.
Look around Edmonton, there are schs here, I don't know their prices but I fell Edmonton is good. Also look at Saskatchewan, when I landed there last yr, I rented 2bedroom 1 toilet for $975/mnth

But in Edmonton where I am, with that 10m you can rent a 2 bedroom for 1yr sef, better still u are a couple with no kids, one bedroom suitable, you will rent that one yr with little change. When I was renting, I paid $1350 for my two bedroom condo, and I have a friend who is currently paying $1300 for 3bedroom condo here in Edmonton. So location matters.
