Business / Start The New Year Bold... by GodinmyRACE(f): 9:58pm On Dec 31, 2020
Hurry...It's Another New Year Eve

Hey pals,

Last night, I challenged a friend to a Ludo game with me. She was very reluctant because she believed she rarely got a "six" on time and loses because of that.

Reluctantly, she agreed to play with me.

Guess what...

Her fears came through. She lost.

Because I was positive and confident before starting, I would say what I needed before spinning the dice and got it,☺️ but she... She hardly got her desired numbers to win.

After the 1st game. I did what I call "mind reprograming" for her and caused her to see that you don't need "juju" or charm to play to win, all you need is to believe and play with confidence.

She tried the second time and she won!

But note: it was a close shave because I was also positive I could win.

I guess I over motivated her to win .‍♀️

This gist summarises that "your mind is as powerful as a prayer".

Many persons will be going to churches tonight to pray concerning the new year. It is good. But not all that is needed.

```You need a WINNERS MENTALITY for the new year.```
Put your failures, unmet goals, wrong decisions etc, behind you.
It's the last day in the year 2020 and
I want you to brace up. Write down those goals and just know you already got them. You have all it takes...
A strong will and today...
P.S. every day is a new chance to let go of yesterday's errors and prepare for tomorrow's opportunities.
(I write to myself as well)
I look forward to more amazing moments together in 2021.
Thank you for being who you are. ❤
Yours Sincerely,
Grace Idaewor.
Business / 3 Life Changing Lessons Learnt From A Rat. by GodinmyRACE(f): 3:17pm On Dec 14, 2020
*3 life-changing lessons learnt from the struggles and turmoil of a Rat.*
Back during my NYSC days, in the NCCF family house, we had rats that were closer even than "a brother". Lol.
These rats were bold and courageous enough to eat our provisions and strut right in the middle of the room.
So this particular evening, we had just had dinner and was settling into bed while the rats set the stage for their nightly display. ‍♀️
I observed a profound experience from a particular rat that evening...
The door was shut while the lights were still on. This rat needed to escape as it had come out too early. It struggled to pass under the door. All to no avail. It twisted and turned to squeeze its way underneath the door but "it was too big for the space", so I thought as I solemnly observed this rat.
At some point, I could see the frustration in the approach of the rat, as it kept on hitting against the door, scratching and stretching.
I felt pity for it.
All of a sudden, the rat stopped, paused and just stood in front of the door.
======================
Then slowly, it approached the door, shifted just a little to the left and...BOOM! It escaped.
*Three lessons:*
*1. Be sure of what exactly you want.*
The rat was certain it didn't want to stay inside, so it kept on trying. The rat knew it needed to be out of the current space and state.
The rat didn't hope someone would come open the door and help it escape. It had a self-belief most humans lack.
Unless you know exactly what you want and believe in yourself, life will keep looking unfair and unbalanced to you.
*2. Be ready to stretch yourself.*
I watched this rat stretch, twist and turn. It had overfed but was still willing to put in the work to escape.
_How much work are you willing to put in to escape your current state of confusion and dissatisfaction?_
*3. It's okay to take a breather, pause, observe and re-strategize.*
Now, you see, when that rat paused I absolutely thought it was the end.
But No! That moment was a strategizing period for it.
You may simply just need to pause and re-evaluate to get that breakthrough you have always been seeking.
The whole idea of resting is not to quit but to resume wiser, stronger, and bolder.
The year is about to end and many of you may be at the point of confusion and frustration as your goals were not all met and you feel out of time and exhausted.
*Confirm your passion and purpose.*
*Keep putting in the hard work.*
*Pause when necessary, but don't QUIT!*
```Have a great week ahead.```❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Business / Continuation On Last Post... "6 Tips On How To Triple Your Sales" by GodinmyRACE(f): 1:47pm On Nov 28, 2020
Practical Examples:

Imagine you sell perfume.

Advertise from a standpoint of:

• Helping them stop embarrassing body odour

• Build confidence in their workplace

• Make their boyfriend or girlfriend love or want them more... Etc.

Then you add a feature of lasting fragrance even after the day has ended.

Then let them know they should get it before it becomes too popular in the market and that they can get it for a *lesser amount only if they buy NOW!*

Then put a money-back guarantee as to the icing on top.

Hmmmmmm... If they don't buy then it's not your fault.

It could either be they don't have the money or are in debt or maybe they attend a denomination where perfume is a sin. But brothers and sisters, you did ya best.

People buy with emotions and justify with logic.

Don't sell a bag as a load-carrying item to a girl, sell the latest design to her or the poshness and how that her crush will esteem her better because of the bag.

If you haven't given your best offer, the one that will wake you up at night and make you say "ah I must deliver", you haven't started.

Oya let's stop here today. I just really pray you to read this and use it.
Business / 6 Tips On Selling That Any Business Can Use To Triple Sales by GodinmyRACE(f): 10:56am On Nov 28, 2020
Mad Ass Offers Only A Mad Man Can Reject (If he needs it!)

Yeah, I added that phrase in the bracket because I don't support cajoling people to buy what they don't need. That's that.

1. Give a hook that is strong enough to stop people on their tracks and jolt them back to your advert. In fact when they get closer, even if they don't need it at that moment, let it be registered in their minds that you provide that particular solution.

2. Show benefits before features (If at all, you will show features)

3. Always put a discount on your price. People are generally greedy and want to have more for less amount. You are like that sometimes too. lol.

4. Create urgency (real, not fake) state your reasons.

Another human psychology. Humans like to procrastinate. Unless something is pressing we won't attend to it.

5. This one is a little hard in Nigeria but we can use it too. *Money-back guarantee.*

Always guarantee an immediate money-back policy that ACTUALLY WORKS, don't lie!.

_Let me share an experience._

I had a customer who bought a gadget from me, and at the point of purchase, I guaranteed him the money back or replacement if it doesn't work right... And it didn't. He returned it for a replacement but unfortunately, there was none in stock. I had to refund. It was painful but I had my business integrity to protect.

_
Would you believe that 3 months down the line this man called me to commend me and that he is still interested in buying? I brought in new sets and he bought it.

See, some people may want to misuse the policy, don't worry, many people will respect and patronise you for it.

6. Build confidence in your sales. It yields trust. People will trust you and buy if they sense confidence.

Bonus: Be honest, kind and considerate. Kindness smells and attracts.

Business / Fishing Vs Selling by GodinmyRACE(f): 2:14am On Nov 28, 2020
FISHING VS SELLING

Three (3) Selling hacks coined from a fishing experience that will turn your business 360 degrees!

Yesterday, on Facebook, I saw an amusing video. A guy showed a funny but effective way of fishing without using the conventional method, i.e. boat and nets.

Guess what he used...

A plastic chicken as a bait and hook!

Weird right? I thought so too.

I was so curious to see what would happen that I watched to the end. This bait caught the biggest catfish I had ever seen.

You would think that as the catfish was trying to eat this plastic chicken it would realise and rush back into the water... No, it didn't!

In fact, by the time the catfish wanted to let go of the chicken, IT WAS TOO LATE. It had been hooked already!

*Three selling hacks from this video:*

1. Be radical and unconventional with your selling. Think outside the box.

Be like the river in the desert. Trust me, people will keep coming to you to quench their thirst.

2. Study your environment and know where your fishes are.

_I forgot to add, this guy checked around first to know where he could likely catch a fish. Yeah, *he did a survey* ._

Use Whatsapp groups where it is allowed (like Young n Rich platform), Facebook groups and ads, online communities etc. Check! Check! Check!

3. Let your hook be too irresistible (sweet) to your fish.

I had never imagined that fishes are attracted to chickens‍♀️‍♀️.

Show them something so compelling and on-point that they will just want to buy or at least learn more.

Don't try using stone to hook your fish, they won't bite.

People are more sceptical today more than ever before because 1000 other people are selling the same thing with you at the same price maybe even cheaper. So what do you offer? Why should they buy from you and not others?

Enough with the fish and chicken story,...lol, let's get to the real business. To be continued...
(your customers are not catfishes oh)‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️
