Politics › The MEND Leadership Are Thieves, FG Should Beware by Godjone(op): 5:05pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
As the agitation for resource control resurfaced with the new militant group ''Niger Delta Avenger'' blowing up oil intalations in the oil-rich south contunues, its negative implications is already telling on the Nigerian mono-economy. The government of president Muhammadu Buhari has already agreed to sit on the round table with the agitators to commence a genuine process of dialogue. However, as commendable as such moves may be viewed, the fedral goverment should rather dialogue with the real actors. They should sieze dialogueing with thieves who called themselves MEND. To set the record straight, it was the Avengers who were directly connected to the current crisis in the delta. But the rogues called ''MEND'' where quick to start a dialogue with the government thereby reminding me of one Nigerian adage that says ''monkey dey work, baboo dey chop''. The Avengers started the new agitation and MEND wanted to by-pass and hijack the process. I now ask, why are they quick to start accepting dialogue with the government without consulting elders or even the Avengers who started the new agitation? The federal government should be deligent in their quest to seeking solution to the crisis in the Niger Delta so that they dialogue process did not end up as an excersice in futility. The real actors in the dialogue innitiative should be the Avengers. MEND are just but hungry thieves trying to reap from where they did not sow. If the government ignors wise councell and want to proceed in dialogue with a group other than the Avengers, then there may be no end to the Niger Delta crisis and the Nigerian economy might even die. |

they should stop these killings abeg why terminate a soul you cannot create? And who among them is without sin? In the religious book the bible, we were admonished not to kill, i guess these people are stained with bloods in their hands for killing a being created by God. Whether they are drug convict or not, does killing them end drug trafficking Has drug trafficking ended since this practice of execution begins An altarnate punishment for drug convict should be adopted rather than killing them. Taking thier lives to me will not end drug trafficking. |

saraki self na mumu. He is not utilizing that senate president seat well at all. If saraki could muster enough courage and shake buhari a little with an impeachment threat, buhari will adjust sharply. To stave him up from unneccesary interferance, saraki shoul and must fight back.
Buhari had many impeachable offences like flagrant disobedience to court orders, abuse of office through loop-sided appointment, his fake and forged certificate, the genocide against the shia and the masacre of ipob members.
Before i forgot, buhari also forged his waec certificate. This and many others is an edge saraki can also use to fight back. But if he choose to remain dull and dump, buhari will continue to be like the proverbial tsetse-fly petching on saraiki's scrotum. |

joborskill: It's just like yesterday when the Dss bundled him into Abuja from his hideout after running his mouth continously for years like a tap. He is good at insulting people and getting into troubles. No wonder he solicited for weapons on a live recorded event to the dismay of the audience. In 2 months time we shall celebrate the historic day the number one enemy of the state was captured. I'm extremely happy that he lost his freedom. In saner climes like Russia, China or North korea, he would have gotten the capital punishment for committing treason against the state. He is lucky the federal government deem it fit to feed him with tax payers money. My observation is that the guy is lilly livered. Terrorists like him go on hunger strikes in captivity just to force their release but kanu keeps feeding and smiling sheepishly anytime he appears in court. Someone who can't sacrifice his belly for biafra will definitely not sacrifice his life. We've seen through the fraud he is. He was just making money from donation of poor igbos worldwide while deceiving them he has the support of 80 countries yet no country appears to care about him. Not even the UK where he acquired a second class citizenship.
His actions then could have resulted in a civil war which would have had serious consequences on Igbo's cos they are the most travelled tribe in the country. We thanks God for averting another sad moment in our history. Kanu is a psychopath who is ready to destabilize the country for his financial gain. His target was a Dialogue with the federal government which will result in a financial amnesty for him to abandon the fake biafra agitations.
He never loved the Igbo's per say. He would never had taken them down the path of hatred if he truly cares about his kingsmen. He was a ticking time bomb that was efficiently defused by the FG before causing destruction.
His supporters see him as Mandela of their generation. If he is indeed hoping to lace Mandela's shoes, he should brace up for 26 more years in jail.
He just destroyed his life for nothing. He has a new born baby who will grow up to read about his father's stupidity. He foolishly separated himself from his family by entering Nigeria's borders all in the name of bravery. Even Ojukwu had to take the easy way out by running to ivory coast when the heat was too much for him to bear.
We wish Nnamdi kanu many more years in prison as he undergoes transition to sanity. Even if there will be a biafra in future, we want a peaceful negotiation without shedding any blood. His approach was wrong and i believe matured Igbo's does not see him as their mouth piece.
In conclusion, this is a lesson to eastern youths who have derived mentorship in kanu's suicidal approach. Change your ways before you end up like him. He is suffering alone while his supporters have moved on. Most Igbo's have abandoned biafra and are integrating themselves into the status quo. A word is enough for the wise.
God bless Nigeria Indeed you are a pained fool and an illiterate. Why wailing over the life of somebody your generation cannot be compared with Honestly our education system need to be reviewed. My friend, i think a stack illiterate can be more productive than you knucklehead. Imagine somebody denying your father access to a wife he used his hard earned resources to marry and all you could do as his son is to clap for him. Is that not foolery of the highest order Honestly your stupidity i lacks terms to qualify it |
Politics › Re: Soyinka Hits Buhari Hard: Stop Being Tyrannical And Wicked, Obey Rule Of Law by Godjone(m): 5:17pm On Jul 26, 2016 |
rapistomenka: The Ogun State based Nobel Laureate and a Professor of international standard, Professor Wole Soyinka, has once again on Saturday in an interview with newsmen in Abeokuta, advised President Muhammadu Buhari to stop being tyrannical in his governance and desist from what he described as presidential hooliganism and diplomatic excessive display of Methuselahnic political vendetta.
In his words, the Noble Laureate reiterated his position about the president in 2007 when he was aspiring to be the presidential candidate of his political party before he lost the election to President Olusegun Obasanjo.
He read to newsmen what he wrote then and maintained that the leopard found in Buhari can never change its spots; saying the aged president cannot change his way of life for any reason whatsoever.
He added that, those of them who later supported his 2015 presidential ambition had no choice than to give a trial then, hoping the military khaki was responsible for his harsh and wicked ways of life when he was former military head of states between 1983 and 1985, but concluded they made the greatest mistake of the century.
“In 2007, I wrote this piece about Gen. Muhammadu Buhari: Shall we revisit the tragicomic series of trials that landed several politicians several lifetimes in prison? Recall, if you please, the ‘judicial’ processes undergone by the septuagenarian Chief Adekunle Ajasin.
He was arraigned and tried before Buhari’s punitive tribunal but acquitted. Dissatisfied, Buhari ordered his re-trial. Again, the Tribunal could not find this man guilty of a single crime, so once again he was returned for trial, only to be acquitted of all charges of corruption or abuse of office. Was Chief Ajasin thereby released? No! He was ordered detained indefinitely, simply for the crime of winning an election and refusing to knuckle under Shagari’s reign of terror.
The conduct of the Buhari regime after his coup was not merely one of double, triple, multiple standards but a cynical travesty of justice. Audu Ogbeh, currently chairman of the Action Congress was one of the few figures of rectitude within the NPN. Just as he has done in recent times with the PDP, he played the role of an internal critic and reformer, warning, dissenting, and setting an example of probity within his ministry.
For that crime he spent months in unjust incarceration. Guilty by association? Well, if that was the motivating yardstick of the administration of the Buhari justice, then it was most selectively applied.
The utmost severity of the Buhari-Idiagbon justice was especially reserved either for the opposition in general, or for those within the ruling party who had showed the sheerest sense of responsibility and patriotism. Shall I remind this nation of Buhari’s deliberate humiliating treatment of the Emir of Kano and the Oni of Ife over their visit to the state of Israel?
I hold no brief for traditional rulers and their relationship with governments, but insist on regarding them as entitled to all the rights, privileges and responsibilities of any Nigerian citizen. This royal duo went to Israel on their private steam and private business.
Simply because the Buhari regime was pursuing some antagonistic foreign policy towards Israel, a policy of which these traditional rulers were not a part, they were subjected on their return to a treatment that could only be described as a head masterly chastisement of errant pupils.
Since when, may one ask, did a free citizen of the Nigerian nation require the permission of a head of state to visit a foreign nation that was willing to offer that tourist a visa.? One is only too aware that some Nigerians love to point to Buhari’s agenda of discipline as the shining jewel in his scrap-iron crown.
To inculcate discipline however, one must lead by example, obeying laws set down as guides to public probity. Example speaks louder than declarations, and rulers cannot exempt themselves from the disciplinary strictures imposed on the overall polity, especially on any issue that seeks to establish a policy for public well-being.
