Politics / We Need To Reject Excesses Of Cbn, Federal Government And Nigerian Banks by godoluwa(m): 6:56pm On Apr 23, 2020
I am sick and tired of excesses of Nigerian government, CBN, & all Nigerian banks.
it is no longer news that we pay extra 7.5% as VAT on every transfer we made from our bank account but this stamp duty charge add to it is completely out of it.
it's very difficult to run successful business in Nigeria considering the fact that you provide power supply for your business, security, etc yet you pay excessive tax to government. As far as am concerned, federal government supposed to be satisfied with 7.5% tax on all electronic transfer but 50naira deduction on every 10,000naira and above deposit to ones savings account is step taken too far. On every transaction, be it debit or credit bank deduct 4naira as sms alert charges, we pay card maintenance fee every month, we pay 7.5% VAT on every transfer from our bank account and now they add 50naira stamp duty charge on every credit of 10,000naira and above ok our account. the worst part was that if you received 10,000naira 10 times in a day, you get charged 50naira each time and that amount to 500naira loss. I see no reason why we should be paying execessive fee on savings account because there's no justification for this. Even on calls we make, we get charged 7.5% VAT and Nigerians cannot point to exact thing their money is been spent on. Nigerians need to come out of our shell and ask government & CBN why they want to kill us with excessive charges and tax, even during this bad time that most Nigerians have turned to beggars, government still continue to tax us this bad.

Nigerians should let's reject this completely and let our government knows we are not fools

If we should fold our arms am sure they will introduce more hardship to make many Nigerians resort to committing suicide

cc lalasticlala, seun please help push this to front page

im sorry to say this, if northerners are not careful and stop their mentality this menace will rape them badly.

northerners loves to form strong head, we Southerners needs to avoid their coming to our region at all cost and stop associating with them because they wouldn't listen or adhere to simple hygeine practise. call me a tribalist, I don't care but that's plain truth about northerners

i think the deaths need to get to a number that will force nigerians to have common sense
Buhari should lift the lockdown and let people die by choice. By the time you bury your parents and children nobody will tell u before u enter house and lock door
the lockdown is not working

government is not sincere & doesn't care for Nigerians at all

lockdown is close to 4weeks, how many people have been tested so far?

in what way has this government assist Nigerians with relieve materials?

Despite lockdown, people still moves from one state to the other

Government can't lock down people further more else unimaginable will happen

Nigerians are suffering with hunger, it's preventable if government is serious but it's unfortunate that this cursed government we have in Nigeria still stole money meant for testing people & treating people for covid 19

Lockdown is not working

Politics / Covid 19: Lockdown Is Not Working We Need To Try Something Else by godoluwa(m): 8:09am On Apr 23, 2020
We need to be honest with ourselves, lock down exercise introduced by state & federal government is not working at all. Federal Government claimed to have banned movement in Lagos, Ogun, & Abuja but people still travels from Lagos to other part of Nigeria. Despite the said lockdown, we keep seeing increase in numbers of cases of Coronavirus. in my own opinion, government of Nigeria needs to come out and be sincere for once, show love for once instead of feeding us with audio foods & sending us audio money. in my local government nobody receive neither money nor foods & these people needs to survive. You can't lock down people for so long, it will get to a point that people will have no choice than to look for way to survive. crime rate has increased drastically, where I lives despite that we have local night guards & policemen we paid on monthly basis for security services, we don't enjoy 4hours sleep for over 1 week now because policemen we employed categorically tell us to always come out & join them that we can only go to bed by 2am. Some areas across the country now witness robbery cases both day & night. Nigerians are hungry, government palliative is nothing but white elephant. Government should encourage local production of reuseable nose mask & distribute 2pcs to every Nigerians. Let each state produce nosemask but they can be given soecifications to meet standard. we have more than enough tailor across the country to make excess nose mask within weeks, & they should forget politics in the production of nose mask. every tailor thats experienced should be given the job and not necessarily belong to political party ruling the states. Each state can produce 100,000pcs of nosemask per day if there's materials to be used & government is sincere. Let federal government enforce use of nosemask through out the nation & anybody found walking around without nosemask must be arrested & prosecuted. The lock down is not working at all so we need to find other means to continue life while we prevent spread at the same time

if you have other suggestions, please drop yours

I rest my case

Going to take my time as I say this and if whatever I say proves otherwise, then be ready to give or show me proofs and not just stories or flimsy excuses.
