Nairaland / General / Nairalanders Why Cry Over The Dead Phase1 And Merry Make At Funeral Phase2! by godsamist: 4:27pm On Dec 22, 2014
Since in the 70s till date, though with different innovations here and there, this typical nigerians phenonenon of crying for the dead and later on put up an eleborated celebration galore has no doubt come to live with us!
Worst of all, even If it so happened that the deceased was not cared for while alife in terms of medical or otherwise..Despite how rich or otherwised.
On the other hand, where the decease was sick before dead comes knocking, some so called loved ones wouldn't even come near their sick bed not even talking of settling their bills but to wait until such one dies and i tell you, they starts throwing surprises..That you begin to wonder where was him all thiswhile..Some would decides to close the street, invite the current live band, buy the most expensive gasket, different uniforms, video coverage...Recently we read here how one buried his mother with a hummer jeep, the spending goes on which ordinarylly they couldn't do while the decease was alife.
And my question:has this wasteful culture come to stay?
Nairaland / General / Re: Tonight Is Akwa Ibom Carol Night by godsamist: 1:26pm On Dec 22, 2014
I strongly invite other state government to Akwa lbom to see how judgiciously this governor utilised his tenure that even the blind can see it..While other governor has successfully squander their state allocation.
My question here is what project of interest can other state govt showcase for all their 8 solid yrs and who cares..Who will question them?
But thanks to the Almighty ..Good work of a serving governor is been showcase in akwa ibom..A life time project that generation to come wil live to praise him.
Shame Shame to Abia governor and other self-serving governors..Long live Akwa lbom governor..May your type see next year and years to come!

Car Talk / Re: Engine Issue; Needs Expert Advice. by godsamist: 12:11pm On Dec 22, 2014
Half engine..What is the condition of the half engine?
Is it still a standardal one..the bore, pistons, rings, cam&crankshaft etc..get a good mechanic to do proper check and your good to go.
Always have a thorough check, on your car before embarking on a,long journer to avoid demages to engine's components.
Politics / Re: Without Any Bias Who Do You Think Could Be The Best Choice For Nigeria In 2015? by godsamist: 11:57am On Dec 22, 2014
Don't have any bias mind for both Gj &Gmb but my expectation are for the leader with nigerians at heart..Coming to restore the very glory of this nation..Give jobs, burst the economy, restore peace and order..Look around they too numerous to mention..We don't need trial &,error leaders but vissionaries that could bring simile back to nigerians period!!!

Politics / Re: Opinion: What Do You Think Of Buhari/osinbajo Ticket by godsamist: 4:39pm On Dec 17, 2014
Well at this crucial point in the history of this nation..If only
Osinbajo could prayerfully prevail on Gmb to make him talk and reason like a civilian and not military as he often believe he is.
It obvious..No doubt we are now in civilian era ..Democracy per say..Mondel our thoughts and language to blend proper to democracy!
Then and only then that we could be making progress ahead.
Nairaland / General / Nigerian's Greatest Enemy Is Not Boko Haram But Recycling Of Corrupt Leaders. by godsamist: 4:16pm On Dec 17, 2014
Since independence til date,Nigerian's crude and outdated mindset of recycling corrupt leaders has remain the only one big reason this nation has been like the biblical lsrealites that refuses making progress dispite blessed abundance riches and resources endowned upon her by the Almighty.
No doubt then, that this dear nation has remained in the dark or spell bound over decades now,an the resultant consequence, you can imagine,hs nt only been too dangerous bt at alarming stage as the giant of africans, despite her intelligencies and spiritualities.
Truth be told, the traditional belief of recycling corrupt leaders in power has done serious harm to this nation,as none of these muddled minded leaders hs bn able to proffer any reasonable solution to our numerous challengers.
As a gd visionary,Ghana's former leader, gen"j Rawling ws able to wrestle out his nation fr tranny leaders an today they enjoy absolute peace!
Nigerians should arise to break this overdue curse of recycl" self-govt" leaders fr the unborn nja!

Well spoken sir,can feel regrets and disapointments in between those powerful missiles post, the message is well packaged..In a country of 170million..We can't even count up to 100 reliable honest leaders.
Rather 170millions are being forced feed wth forbidden spoons!

Nairaland / General / Why Are The Population Of Women More Than Men In Every Church You Can Think Of? by godsamist: 6:33pm On Dec 14, 2014
Happy weekend to all nairalanders out there..Hope you are getting the best out of this life? You should anyway because it's only once in a life time..No second chance brotherman!
Been wondering awhile why in every church you can think of today, the female counterparts usually out number the male?
Have also tried figuring out the major reason(s) without success, however in my curious quest..finally arived at some answers that still remain to me a questions as we could read below:-
Could it be because God answer their prayers more?
Is it because they saw Christ first at resurrection according to:mark16:1&9.luke:23:55-56.and 24:10&22.
Or because they are pillars in their matrimonial homes?
Because they are ofter refer to as the weaker vessels who mostly desire comforts?
Even at all the questions,my mind has not yet arrived at the answer why the women are more in the church than the men.
Good people of nairaland, your candid contributions please!

Nairaland / General / Still Buhari/jonathan Again, inec What Proactive Measure On Ground? by godsamist: 8:13pm On Dec 12, 2014
presently the atmosphere is so tensed,Nigerians are warming up again to hit the polls come 2015.
So obvious,we have had countless leaders but so unfortunate none has been able to proffer reasonable solution that could move our dear nation forwrd.
The ugly experience of last elect"is stil fresh in my mind..
Then, buhari came to minna to campaign, unaware he was leaving, the road were taken over by hoodlums with different intrument of war..What saved my windshield was to respond..Sai buhari, other car owners suffered loss for just campaign"alone.
More sadly, after the election in favor of Gj,many Nysc members lost their lives!
Lo and behold the same heavy weights..bringing back that scenario and my fears are speaking aloud,my question to INEC is what proactive measures are on ground, cause am not ready to loss any of my bros/sist this time around, neither interested in #3m compensation for loss of lives.
Pls and pls inec put available mechaneries in place to protect lives mostly, while we continue praying for 9

What actually are pointing at?
What..U suppose to thank the Almight for making you who you are!
O! O !how awesome our God is!
If you experience pain..Make research ,there pills and exercises that makes it bearable.
The woman world is full of fun if your heart is full of thanks to the Almight who have done all things well..Or do you want to accused Him wrongly?
Each times it comes, roll out the drums and give Him praises and watch the miracles of those 5beatiful days.
I bet, you will love it and not vice versa.
The grace God shared both parties right fro creation can't be reversed.

Even Even..At this point where nigerians are almost drowning..
When the rich are getting richer.
Even at this point where we hardly get food on our table.
Even at this point when Nnpc could't lift fuel as a result of bad roads.
Even at this point when our unemployed youths are roaming the streets in search of non existing jobs.
Even at this point when things has falling apart
May the Almight come to our rescue before we die of empty promises

Really methink we ought to tread with caustion if we love this dear country
Already soothsayers has spoken...and are waiting for our only country to disintergrate.
If we really love our God's own 9ja we should jealously guide against the evil fulfilment spoken against her.
No matter whosoever will reign over the affairs of this nation..4Years is not forever God has't abandon us yet..All we need now is prayers out of this troublous time.
The period we are now is so sensitive and we need to be more careful and calculative too!
