Ever since I was young, I've always had this unexplainable passion for military things, most especially the discipline they possess...But I've never been bold enough to tell my parents about my secret ambition & there was no one to put me through...And after spending all these years as a civilian, I still feel the desire burning within...Sometimes I shed pent-up tears when I see real images of those stuffs ^^^ mentioned above...

Nah! I'm not perturbed about the casualty aspect...Its a part of life, all walks of life experience that...And I've come to realize that their pay is okay, not much though, but its okay to build a family on(officers I mean, not other ranks)...

So, If I can go back in time...I won't have applied for any university admission, I'd have joined the military instead.

What comes after Call-up numbers?
We won't be "prospective corp members" anymore.
We would be actual corpers.
We can't be in d house anymore. But we sure myt like to keep in touch.
So, do we:
#1: set up a new thread?
#2: continue with this thread?
#3: share contact with those you wanna keep n leave d house n keep the memories.

CY09: Yeah, I have been thinking avout that also...This house is like a family to me and I can't imagine us saying bye...I think we can start a new thread when the call up letter is out...Wher we will come to share our experiences in our various camps...As for the contacts, some of us have been exchanging contacts, I will suggest that if you are interested in having anybody's contact just let the person know...Waiting to see other house members take on this.

I think I have stories to share with the House....Some funny things have been happening to me since last week;

1) I traveled to school last week Monday to finish my clearance, driving our '95 model Nissan farm pick up...Of course, I love flooring the gas pedal while driving distances but the rickety road & galloping truck wouldn't allow me do that...Unknown to me, there was something wrong with the fuel pump of the vehicle, petrol must have been leaking gradually but I didn't notice it...

...So, I got to Ogbomoso & entered school, parked my truck & faced clearance...By the time I got back I started perceiving fumes of petrol, I checked underneath the truck & I saw a not really wet surface(petrol dries when exposed to air)...Then while I was trying to move, the fumes became stronger, left the engine running & checked underneath again...Lo & Behold! it looked like my fuel tank was urinating!....

...You know, I just have to thank GOD that didn't happen while 'Corn Roasting' was still in vogue...Lol!...Can't imagine what would have happened if a vehicle emitting a trail of petrol comes close to 'Iya Alagbado'......I sha managed to get to my then hostel, parked as far away from any potential fire source till the next day when I'll be comported...Then I managed to get to the closest mecho workshop the next morning...

...We spent hours trying to fix it, I think that was the day we(NL Batch C) were planning to move to a new House...I was so frustrated & non-composed...Everybody in the workshop tried to be a genius...Even I, at some points in time had to handle spanners, screwdrivers & lie under the truck......(I dey form scientist/engineer)...

...We gave up sha, and I had to carry the fuel pump to another set of mechanics, looking for how I can get a new one...As GOD would have HIS way, those guys fixed it in few minutes without much stress!...SMH...That was around 5pm in the evening.

...After all the rambling rambles, I discovered I've spent almost all the money with me on the repair stunts & I had to refuel with the remaining...By the time I was driving back on Wednesday(left school prematurely in order to avoid been stranded), I had just N200 & some few green notes + 1 blue note!......Funny still, VIO Stopped me on the way, asked for the askables & they concluded my driver's license was fake!(Something that FRSC has checked several times without any grouse)...Oh Lawd have mercy!...

...They started quoting some constitutional puns, said they would seize my license & I would have to pay a fine of N4000......Durh! I didn't even give them any audience cos i was so tired & frustrated to argue...I narrated my experience to them & gave them the impression that I'm not in the mood to yield to any of their jokes, I told them I was ready to sleep there with them sef!......Omo! Them free me ooo, out of sympathy...But that's not before they collected the last N200 I had on me!(they avoided the blue & green notes)...SMH, Naija shaa...

...Well, I got back to the farm safe & sound...Glory be to GOD!...Yeah, something else happened to me on Friday in which I nearly burnt the House down!...That's the number 2 testimony I'll share...GOD has been so wonderful!!!
