Jokes Etc / Re: Funny Court Exchanges by Godschild2(m): 11:58am On Aug 14, 2013
Victoriousvic: These are from a book called "Disorder in the courts" and are things actually said in court, word for word, taken down and published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while the exchanges took place:

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?
WITNESS: He said, 'where am I, cathy?'
ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?
WITNESS: My name is Susan!

ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?
WITNESS: Gucci sweats and reeboks

ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active?
WITNESS: No, I just lie there

ATTORNEY: What is your date of birth?
WITNESS: July 18th
ATTORNEY: What year?
WITNESS: Every year

ATTORNEY: How old is your son, the one living with you?
WITNESS: 38 or 35, I can't remember which
ATTORNEY: How long has he lived with you?
WITNESS: 45 years

ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?
WITNESS: Yes
ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory?
WITNESS: I forget
ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot?

ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?

ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the 20 year old, how old is he
WITNESS: He's 20 much like your IQ

ATTORNEY: Where you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS: Are you shitting me?

ATTORNEY: She had 3 children, right?
WITNESS: Yes
ATTORNEY: How many were boys?
WITNESS: None
ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?
WITNESS: Your honor, I think I need a different attorney. Can I get a new attorney?

ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS: By death
ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?
WITNESS: Take a guess

ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?
WITNESS: Are you qualified to ask that question?

ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual?
WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard
ATTORNEY: Was this a male or female?
WITNESS: Unless the circus was in town, I'm going with male

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
WITNESS: No
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS: No
ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS: No
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar
ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

Hahahahahahahahaaa...Hilarious!!!

Religion / Re: Christians: Why Do You Think You Need To Close Your Eyes While Praying? by Godschild2(m): 7:04pm On Aug 11, 2013
Well, I think its for concentration. When your eyes are closed it gets difficult for you to be distracted by whats ongoing in your surroundings, and it allows you focus more on the prayer point.

Lol! I remember when I still used to attend juvenile church, our teachers then do tell us to keep our eyes closed while praying cos if we don't, Angels would insert their fingers in our eyes & it may result in blindness gringrin But of course, nobody wants to go blind so we used to comply. Looking back now, I laugh at those days cos I know that's not true. grin

I know some people are okay with opening their eyes while praying, personally I prefer to close mine cos I can easily get carried away. Its a matter of choice, but let's remember that GOD requires 100% of our attention.

Mr BOUNTY! How your side nah? Happy Sunday!

When they say later than 5 years it means from 2013 back to 2008. That means anything earlier than 2008 won't be accepted.

Bros, there is a contradiction somewhere, which is not from me. According to Nwaribe; "declaration of age LATER dan five years will not b accepted" and you just affirmed it now that; "when they say LATER than 5 years it means from 2013 back to 2008"

So, why is it that anything EARLIER than 2008 won't be accepted?

I don't think d 2003 declaration of age can b used because it's stated on d site d "declaration of age LATER dan five years will not b accepted".

But 2003 is not LATER than five years ago, its EARLIER than five years ago.

Maybe you should lodge your complaint by sending mail to the technical department or call the info officer's number on their website. I just logged into mine now & I saw all my data still intact.

I processed my application one month ago and printed all the necessary documents but I do check my portal even and I time I log on with my appl no and password I do see my interface intact. However, recently I log on as usual with my appl no and password but I was directed to the initial page where one needs to fill in info like name, email address etc instead of my real interface that shows my where a can print docs like my app form referees report form, eligibility form etc. My questions are 1. Is ui upgrading her site? 2. Are mine the only person experience this? 3. Is anything wrong elsewhere? Finally, I have printed and submitted all my document with nothing left but I am only disturbed by my inability to access my portal at this level. My dear people, pls respond to my plight .

Hope you used internet explorer?...

justicesky24: dis questn has been posing serious argument f late pls i nid ur opinion abt it. if sm1 dies does he face nstant judgement 2 go 2 hell or heaven or is dere a particular day whereby d whole world wil b judged

I don't think there is instant judgment, 1Thess 4:13-18 explains that the dead in Christ would rise up after the trumpet sounds to go and meet Christ(Rapture). These won't have to happen if the dead have already been judged. John 5:24-29 explains that there is a particular hour for judgment, in which everybody will be judged. Revelations 20 also talks about judgment day"...And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened..."

I remember when I was still in primary school, we used to sing a song;

That great day is coming(2ce)
All men shall stand,
Before the throne of God,
And give account of themselves...
