Sorry guys

I have been busy
Applied august 9th
Upfront med passed oct 19
Eligibility never started
Background never started
Bvl December 1st
Another bvl 19 dec
Followed by ppr 19th dec

Didn’t submit much documents
Just few I even use phone to snap the documents sef didn’t really took the
application serious coz my bank account balance just around 2.9m was nothing to write home about but I got home ties. I don’t leave money in my account coz I have uncompleted house projects which I am still spending on.

I invested all my money so I don’t have to work another day to survive due to nigeria situation.I have properties worth over 95m all are houses not land. 5 houses 6 purchased condos 15 tenants Most of the houses documents aren’t ready due to government approval delays but I have stamp duty and land receipts deeds and ratification . I have a company aswell and a farm and also shares in mtn and other companies.

I took Mpower loan and the bank statement only as POF

Then I attached all the investment documents tenancy agreement my company and farm documents and LOA . Total about 12 documents to proof to those dudes that I am blessed already even with low account balance.

I just returned from Europe aswell

Goodluck to those still waiting

If you know people in the bank walk up to them they do it. U will put 3.5% or 5% (am not sure ) monthly till u return the money. I don’t know the full detail so may be when u talk to people that do it they will explain better.

But my fear over this money is,
1, how are u sure this agents won’t remove the money when ur application is still in process, what if ircc asks for your POF again.

2, I don’t know how much u want from them but are u willing to pay let’s say 150k or even money monthly for money that u will still return in full. What if ur application takes up to 6 or 8 months (God forbid it) but think.

3, how do u explain the sudden big sum of money to ircc.

MY CONCLUSION- I think it’s better to get money from friends and family and you deposit it over a period of 4 to 6 months before submitting ur application.
OR
ask people how they went about MPOWER and sources like that for money

Spot on there. You are absolutely right. The person that did for a friend gave a good explanation and even letters and all to back it up and he was approved but not all do this. Most just do as you stated above.

I heard there's a way they put money in your account for some months, when you're ready for travel after visa you print ur statement and return the money I don't know how much they charge but I've heard of it. If anyone knows about this please let us know

Yeah, there is. But I think it's better not to discuss such on an open platform like this. I can refer you to someone tested and trusted for guidance.

Then go ahead with the application if it was clearly stated that "you do not need a supervisor before application"
Most times, for programs like this, you would be assigned a supervisor during your second year if its a 2 years Msc.

Yes, exactly. That's what they said that I do not need a supervisor before I can apply and one will be assigned to me in my 2nd year.

Much thanks.

Thesis based option provides more funding opportunities via teaching assistanceship and scholarship for research. Prior application, i will advise you to get a supervisor who you would be able to work with. If you apply without getting a supervisor who is willing to take you as a student, there is high chance you just wasted your application fee. However, this might not be the case if you are applying for a course based option.

What if the program doesn't require you to have a supervisor before applying?

I got a fair deal. Lufthansa airline on 25th. Lagos to Frankfurt to Toronto @816k grin. I already budget 1.2m for flight. Guys avoid Egyptian airways if you want to live long. They asked someone I know to login to his Portal to prove he paid his tuition fees.

Wow! But it was only the guy right? Any reason why they picked him out though? Not sure they'll go around asking everyone to do that, it'll affect their take off time

Yea they do but their links all lead to self search with no other assistance, they also warn against accomodation fraud for someone yet to arrive so I'm a bit skeptical.
Will keep looking tho. Thanks.

Yeah, true. If you find a good website, kindly share with me as well causing arriving first then looking for accommodation is really expensive especially because of the hotel or Airbnb you'll be still while searching but if you have someone there that can give you soft landing then it's perfect.

Hello everyone, good morning. Please how can I contact the MP.

Google Members of Parliament in Canada and find the one(s) in the area where your school is located. Their emails are also usually displayed there.

Best of luck.

Not yet, working on I.

Do you have any suggestions?

Yeah, a few websites. I also established communication with a few landlords. You can check your school website if they have anything on off campus living because I believe on campus residence must've been completely taken. My school has a few listings on their off campus living. I got in touch with my course adviser that relocated to Canada on a permanent basis back when I was in uni but he's based in Ontario with his family. The hustle is real sha. Most of these landlords would want you to apply and sometimes it feels like an interview sef.

like i said i am in school fees payment stage.
first bank.
how long does it stay on adb reviewer.

Ow, I don't know about that. I haven't used Form A for school fees payment yet.

Has anyone used CIBC and Form A to make fees payment before? Please tell me how you handled the banking details section and documents required because according to CIBC payment instruction, the payment has to be made within 5 working days of generating the payment instruction. Any guidance or experience will be highly appreciated.

okay, I didn't apply for that yet. its fees.
do I need to do anything after application.

Well, first you need a return flight ticket then you need to let them know before you even choose the branch so they can give you best advice based on your itinerary.

Which bank did you use and how long did it take before they sent the fees?

Hello,
I applied for my LMIA work permit since July,2022.
I got my GCMS notes today and i noticed the LMIA number on my application has an error.

Please how can i fix this? I’ve sent webforms and emailed nairobi office and other, and all i’m getting back is automated replies.
I’ve called IRCC and they referred me back to Nairobi.

For those that has also once made mistake in their application, Please Do i need to submit a fresh application?

I know i’m in the wrong thread but please i need an answer.

Send a mail explaining everything and including your application details then attach your LMIA as well, to NROBIIMDocument@international.gc.ca and other email addresses you have been sending mails to.

Yeah I did and also attached a copy of the medical sheet.. for some reason I sent out a Web form around August to the lagos office about an update on my passport it was the office in Nairobi that messaged me later about it

Which means your application is probably being processed in Nairobi. They usually have secondary offices so that's why it is advisable to mail multiple offices and in some cases, the other offices direct your message to the appropriate quarters. In my experience, the London office handles medical processing for most Nigerian applicants so you can focus fire there too, together with Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja and Accra. Even Beijing and other China offices. Leave no stone unturned.

Hello fam.

I need to know if a return ticket is necessary when booking flights online.

No, it isn't except you plan to return in the near future (probably during semester break) or you want to apply for PTA.

I did call qlife and the say they already uploaded the result and that was in November, till now IRCC hasn't updated and now it's going to be a rush thing for me because so many thoughts, what to do and all that. If everything could just pull through before they go in break because I haven't even booked a flight or sorted some things because of this delay

Have you sent them mails and webforms? Send multiple times please and send to London, Lagos, Abuja, Beijing, New York as well, including Nairobi. Include the details of your medicals (UMI, EDE etc.) on your medical information sheet in the body of the enquiry and email you send to them

I have. I started the process on Qatar Airways website and went to their office in VI to complete it cos my card didn’t work for payment.

Check Air Maroc and Ethiopian, you’d get something cheap on those

Yeah thanks G! I was able to get one for around 869k on Wakanow. The final destination airport is just 7 mins drive from the school so I thank God. You heading to Toronto right? I have like 14 hrs layover there. Mind if we connect?

It's not even a joke, the prices are scary.

Flights before Christmas are still fair, the ones after Christmas and first week in Jan are mad.

Just close eye book any one cheaper and does not have layovers in US except you have a transit visa

True. Now even that week of Christmas, the week before and after Christmas na million naira flights. It's next week flight that I saw one less than a million naira and soon it'll be gone.

My sister got approved yesterday and i looked up flights for January 19th. EGYPTAIR is 500k plus… that’s what we are booking. Download their app

Charito! Good to hear from you again. Congrats to your sis and you as well for doing an incredible job!!
Thanks for the this, I really appreciate it. Saw a flight for 869k, Egypt Air on wakanow for January 1 that goes to Sydney, Nova Scotia because that's where my school is. Although I'll touch down at Toronto first and spend over half a day there before I continue my journey. My school is resuming January 3 and ticket prices are steep during that period, from the whole of December ending sef, which was my ideal travel date.

Small thing I dan type long story, chai! Thanks again and congrats! With this success, I'm sure you're more motivated to repackage and refire! Looking forward to welcoming you next year.

Either use a dollar card or go to their office so you can do transfer

Have you booked your flight? See a million and sometimes two million naira flight everywhere, any idea of where or how I can see anything less?

Hello everyone please does anyone know how I can book my flight ticket? I have been trying to book with my naira card but it’s not working, please does anyone have solution to this problem, thank you.

If the payment quote is in a foreign currency then naira card won't work. Either you use wakanow or go to the airline's office and pay in naira.
