I think it varies with the bank and branch. Cause they are are the ones that will review it then recommend it for approval.

You have to present the admission letter used for the application when you arrive at the border; otherwise, the border officer might ask you to reapply.
You can change school after you receive the study permit. Use MyCIC account (old portal) to inform IRCC.
Getting your deposit transferred to another educational institution depends on the school's refund policy. So, review their refund policy or send them an email.

So one can change school once you get to Canada before resuming or starting any classes at the school you used when applying for the study permit?

Yes, in May 2023 but someone on here said that it doesn't matter that some with an even passport expiry date was approved visa and all. In cases of expired LOA, IRCC usually ask for it when it's needed but can you get a new LOA from the school you used in applying and send to them?

Nope. It's in Canada High Commission in Abuja that the stamping happens. They only put the office that processed your application as the office that issued the visa.

Passport expiry in May 2023 cannot be an obstacle last week someone got ppr and passport will expire in Jan 2023 and the person is rushing now to stamp and travel hoping that when he enters Canada he will go for passport renewal and extension reason is that passport renewal in Nigeria now is not guaranteed on sharp sharp as before

Halo guys,so I sent my ppt yesterday via DHL to Abuja for stamping. I tracked it this morning and it showed that package has been delivered. But I didn't get any mail from VFS. Is this normal?

VFS will mail you when they forward your passport to IRCC and when they receive it back and ready for collection

Yeah, I got acknowledgement mail on the day DHL delivered to VFS abuja and I've been getting mails on the process. I'm just surprised that it was this fast.

Hi, my brother is about to do capturing this Friday for his passport renewal. Can we talk about this fast tracking please? His BVL has dropped but his OPR hasn't, we figured that it is because of the fact that his passport expires in May 2023.

Some people who get BVL without OPR or refusal, I think (personal opinion) that it is sometimes due to the fact that your LOA is invalid or has expired or your passport expiry is within 6 months, just my thought though.

I was unable to quote or send messages on this particular thread for some days, I wonder why that was so. In any case, congratulations to all the PPRs and those that got delayed, don't lose faith. Order your notes, repackage and refire! Having a plan B like UK study, which is relatively shorter in terms of getting decision won't be a bad idea either.

Yeah, it truly is different. No sugarcoating at all, pure reality of things. I think furnished apartments are more expensive and yeah, most of the apartments she viewed seem relatively new. That credit history/score is really important for many things there.

Wow!! I'm so sorry to hear this. This is the most shocking news I've heard this week cause I could almost swear that you'll definitely get your PPR especially with all the positive notes from your notes and how you packaged the application. Please don't lose hope, request notes, repackage and refire. I just hope that this is not because of an administrative error or something cause it hurts gannnn. Take heart

Breaking News!!!

My application was refused this afternoon based on purpose of visit, insufficient funds and asset lol.

I'm going for a year course, tuition is 18,000 Cad out of which 10,000 Cad has been paid remaining 8,000 Cad.

I am self sponsor and going with 2 of my kids

Bank statement of almost 20M provided, pay stubs, employment letter, confirmation and promotion letters, my CAC documents registered 7 years ago, land documents valued at 30M etc.

I appreciate your well wishes and prayers.

I gave this application my best but sadly, it was not enough.

I am about to order for CBSA note to really understand their reasons for refusal.
