The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, led by Uchenna Madu, yesterday, announced that it has closed down all the camps of ,MASSOB, in Igboland including it headquarters in Okwe, Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo state.

MASSOB made this known through a release issued to newsmen in Owerri, by the National Director of Information, Comrade Samuel Edeson.

The release stated that the decision was unanimously taken after a meeting comprising the National officers, at the state, zonal and local government coordinators.

The reasons given for the sudden closure of the MASSOB camps were captured in the release.

"That MASSOB closes all camps including headquarters because some disgruntled persons in the name of MASSOB perpetrate all forms of criminalities and social vices.

"That we refuse to allow the platform of reformed MASSOB under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu to be used for breeding anti social vices that can cause breakdown of law and public disturbances.

"That MASSOB being a non violence organization that has redeemed her lost public trust/ confidence as a result of Uwazuruike's deviation and dubious acts will never allow drug peddling and criminal acts flourish in our establishments or associated our existence with anti social vices.

"That in the spirit of Igbo cultural values, MASSOB wishes to inform Ndigbo and Biafrans in general that no descent organization with the peoples mandate flourish in atmosphere of criminalities, drug peddling, lost focus and sabotage.

"That in the spirit of Biafran brotherhood, MASSOB has considered forgiving the leader of BIM, Ralph Uwazuruike (former MASSOB leader) who ran away from Okwe on March 15, 2014 and his subsequent expulsion on 30th Nov, 2015 to return to his family house, Okwe which incidentally houses MASSOB headquarters.

"That we considered Uwazuruike's three years exile from his father's compound as enough punishment for his stupidity.

"That MASSOB has handed over Uwazuruike's atrocities against the people of Biafrans into the hands of Chukwu Okike Abiama and Igbo ancestors.

"That MASSOB under the leadership of our leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu will continue to operate non violently from our new descent office (no more camps) with respect and regards to other genuine pro Biafra groups.

"That we know that many people will not be happy that MASSOB is closing Okwe headquarters. It is part of our internal reorganisation for strategic growth and positive functions.

"That MASSOB wishes to inform Imo state government, security agents and Okwe host community that starting from 5th day of March, 2017, MASSOB ceased to operate in Okwe and any group of persons or individual camped or reside or found within the family compound of Uwazuruike's or inside the former MASSOB Freedom House, Okwe is not a MASSOB member but criminals."

According to Rita who shared the painful story,her friend Mirian Oluchi Okpara died after she was electrocuted while switching on the generator for her kids.

In part she wrote....

'I write this with tears. Mirian Oluchi Okpara eventually died in that marriage. So I received a call last night from my friend, that our friend Oluchi had died. According to report, she was electrocuted while switching on the generator for the kids and the husband in the house. She was found shaking on the floor and died on their way to the hospital. Many believe she was murdered'.

Officers say the woman was leaning on a fence when the caged white lion spotted her and raked his gigantic paws down her hip and arm.

The pair had been enjoying the views on a day out together and were taking pictures of the lion enclosure, believing the beasts were further away.

But the white lion was actually just hidden among bushes and pounced as her unnamed boyfriend captured the picture.It is believed she is still in hospital receiving treatment.

The wildlife conservation park boasts zebra, lions, giraffes as well as others and is a sanctuary for older animals who can no longer be in the wild'.

CNN)President Donald Trump has been increasingly chatting with other world leaders during his first weeks in office. On Monday he turned his attention to Africa.

Trump spent Monday morning calling two of the continent's most prominent leaders, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and South African President Jacob Zuma, to discuss combating terrorism, trade relations and other issues.

According to Buhari's aide, Femi Adesina, Trump assured the Nigerian president that the US is ready to help obtain "a new deal in helping Nigeria in terms of military weapons to combat terrorism."

In a statement to CNN, Adesina also said, "President Trump encouraged President Buhari to keep up the good work he is doing, and also commended him for the efforts made in rescuing 24 of the Chibok Girls and the strides being taken by the Nigerian military."

In 2014 nearly 300 girls were kidnapped from a boarding school in Chibok by terror group Boko Haram. Most remain missing, although the terror groupreleased a group of them last October in a deal brokered in part by Nigerian authorities.

Trump also invited President Buhari to Washington at a mutually convenient date. Buhari, who congratulated Trump on his election, is currently in London on an extended break while he awaits the results of unspecified medical tests.

After his call with Buhari, President Trump also requested and completed a phone call with South Africa's Zuma.

According to Awurum Darlington, the accused in company of some youths and traditional headed to the shrine in Ebonyi State for confirmation, and behold, they got to Ebonyi State and it was confirmed that this Mr. Ekezie pictured unclad here had written so many names cut across men and women in different businesses and crafts within the area and immediately he confessed, pleading with the people not to expose him at home.

According to eyewitnesses, over 50 chains locked with keys and nailed to the mighty Tree in Ebonyi State were uncovered with each placed with a name. So many of them dead already.

They forced him to unlock the keys in other to set the captives free which he did and made an open confession that nothing can be done about the dead ones.

The first female elite athlete to cross the finish line in Saturday’s 2nd Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, Rhoda Jepkhorir of Kenya, said she would not hesitate to marry a Nigerian if approached.


Jepkhorir said at the finish point that she would not hesitate due to the kind nature of Nigerians.

“If a Nigerian man should ask for my hand in marriage, I will marry him because Nigerians are nice people.
“Nationality is no barrier, so far he is committed and caring, I will have no option,’’ she said.

She also said that she loved watching the duo of Nigerian actors, Aki and Pawpaw, saying that she was so attached to Nigeria.

“Aki and Pawpaw are my best actors in Nigeria, I have so much love for the Nigerian movie industry,’’ the runner said.

The athlete, who is visiting Nigeria for the first time, said that winning the race was a dream come through for her.

“The race has given me the opportunity to come to my dream country, I will come over and over again,’’ she said.

7-year-old Damilola Oluwaseyi has emerged winner of the children's category of the #LagosCityMarathon. The little girl surprised a lot of people at the just concluded 2017 Lagos city marathon as she crossed the finish line.

This young lady ran the entire 42km of the #RunLagos marathon and she did it with such confidence.

According to reports, Oluwaseyi started the race from her house in Lekki, many were surprised that at her young age she deemed it fit to challenge herself.
