Meanwhile some bad belle Nigerians don't see anything good in this man, neither has he done anything good in Lagos! "the Lagos camera project is a waste of taxpayer's money", "the light rail project is doomed to fail", 'the Badagry tourist resort" is unachievable" ! Time again will only tell! Kudos BRF!! Ride on. . . |
It is Nigerians who have been away from Nigeria for too long that still wake up and write bull fart against the country Nigeria - to get a first hand and true experience of Nigeria, book a holiday there for just two weeks and come back here to write, of course if you rely on reports in sahara reports and elendu whatever it is, or spend half your day on NairaLand reading from the lies of Crackles, Kobojunkie, tbo and many others who havent been in Nigeria for ages, you will definitely want to beleive them and join them in their massive crusade to run down a country they have left for ages. First hand experience is ok - this is what the poster is talking about, he isint saying dont criticise the country, he is simply saying, why is it that those who are outside shout the worst when it comes to Nigeria, they seem to be the only ones who knows when or what should be done or not and they seem to be the only ones who sees the poverty and sufferness in a country the dont live in.
Thanks for the info Tosh! SegzyJoe:Need I say more?? You 've said it all bro! Lucabrasi, you are a realist to the core! I respect your position! |
what manner of child rises up early in the morning and runs to the village square to shout at the top of his voice the details of the quarrel his parents had the previous night?? ![]() Please go through my post once more and you'll discover I never implied that we (Nigerians) should not criticize the system! All I am saying is that "make we talk small small 'cos nobody holy pass"!This isn't about rosy pictures at all! There's a really big difference between correcting to make a change (call it constructive criticism if you like) and criticizing to bring down & discredit the system (like we see in the western media very often)! Will a mother bring out a dagger and stab her child because he stole a piece of meat from the neighbor's pot?? Hope U got my point? cheers, |
Oh I see! this war between Nigerians in Naija and those in the diaspora is still on! Anyway, to be truthful, I see some sense in what the poster has said ( I hope I don't get crucified for this). But c'mon, have a peek through almost all the hot debates here in the politics section and indeed the whole of Nairaland and you'll see some element of truth in what Mr. Poster has said! Why this is so is what I cannot exactly say. But I sure do sense a lot of negativity when they write! Many of us in naija here do travel to these same places (even Malaysia) and yet we dey take am eazy when time reach to criticize naija ('cos we know that we are part of this system & wouldn't want to wash 'all of' our dirty linen in public). these same criticisms come back to hunt us one way or the other whether a 'Naijarian' or a 'diasporan'! Bottomline: Nigeria is ours to build, we only got 1 country! let's build it! |
I must say I am not a fan of this man! I just have a very strong conviction that he is not as sincere as he claims to be! Time indeed will tell! |
tallrock:This indeed portrays the level of moral decadence that pervades today's Nigeria especially with the youth! I mean how can some1 make such comments! I can smell low self esteem here (no harm intended), but please nobody will bring you down if don't put your self down for them to trample on! I am a first class citizen in Naija & I am don't foresee any1 from my immediate generation washing toilets for anybody overseas! |
A Nigerian is in the world news again but this time not for something despicable, But rather for designing the most expensive suit ever sold. It's our very own Alexander Amosu! Remember him? Yeah, the guy with the cockney accent in the Dragon's Den series. A program that was sponsored by UBA and aired sometime last year on many TV stations across Nigeria. I remember he was the same guy that was involved in the pimping of cell phones in the U.K sometime back with some of his phones even selling as much as 10,000 pounds. I watched his interview with Richard Quest of CNN and I was indeed very impressed. I heard someone who wants to remain anonymous has purchased it for a whooping 100k! Kudos Amosu & keep the flag flying!!!! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/5196897/Worlds-most-expensive-suit-goes-on-sale-in-London-for-70K.html http://www.luxist.com/2009/04/22/the-worlds-most-expensive-suit/ |

So how much do they pay?? Can't some1 just save us this stress of sifting through these lengthy mails and provide us with the figures straight?? We need figures!! How much do they pay?? |
Depends on your location actually! I helped my sister change hers in February 2009 and it was more of a trade by barter thing! the guys at Ladipo took her old wheels (not alloy) and gave us sharp, neat & studdded alloy for 30k. the range is usually between 25k to 35k! Also depends on the ride! Whatever you do, please do not buy those 'china' alloy wheels o! they are death traps! I have personally witnessed an accident that was caused by a broken one. You can't mistake them! They are cheaper and usually have black trimmings! cheers, |
Abeg let's concentrate our energies on something more important to our national life rather than these kind talk that won't lead us anywhere! Next story please. . . |

This isn't really a joking matter! I guess you've got an acute case of halitosis and my sincere advice is for you to see your dentist! In the interim, I'll recommend that you ensure you brush your teeth before you sleep every night. (when last did you change your tooth brush?) please do so too and get a dental floss. Ensure you floss every other night too apart from brushing. Also, minty gums & mouth washes can help alot during the day. In all, this is the time to pay better attention to your teeth and mouth. you've still got to see a dentist. |
