I hope the Togolese deal with the lawless Nigerians like Indonesians.
What is lawless there? some of us just make callous and careless statements. I have seen number plates from Togo, Ghana and Republic du Benin in Lagos. From what I understand, you are permitted to drive to ECOWAS states while retaining your number plates for a period of 90 days.

Health / Re: 10 Dangerous Reasons You Should Never Eat Junk Foods Again by GoldCircle: 10:35am On May 11, 2017
siraj1402:
This might interest you as well.
10 Reasons You Should Stop Eating Too much Instant Noodles

1. Nutrient Absorption : Noodles inhibit the absorption of nutrients for the children under 5.
2. Cancer : The ingredient in the instant noodles called “Styrofoam’, is a cancer causing agent.
3. Miscarriage : Women who are Eating instant noodles during their pregnancy causes miscarriage, because it affect the development of a foetus.
4. Junk Food : instant noodles are enriched with full of carbohydrates, but no vitamins, fiber and minerals. This makes the instant noodles considered as a junk food.
5. Sodium : Instant noodles are power packed with high amounts of sodium. Excess consumption of sodium leads to heart disease, stroke, hypertension and kidney damage.
6. MSG : Monosodium Glutamate is used to enhance the flavour of instant noodles. People who are allergic to MSG consume it as part of their diet, then they end up suffering from headaches, facial flushing, pain, burning sensations.
7. Overweight : Eating Noodles is the leading cause of obesity. Noodles contains fat and large amounts of sodium, which causes water retention in the body and surely it leads to overweight, and obesity leads to heart problems.
8. Digestion : Instant noodles are bad for digestive system. Regular consumption of instant noodles causes irregular bowl movements and bloating.
9. Propylene Glycol : The ingredient in the instant noodles called “Propylene Glycol” which has a anti-freeze property. This ingredient is used because it prevents the noodles from drying by retaining moisture. It weakens the immune system of our body. It is easily absorbed by the body and it accumulates in the kidneys, heart and liver. It causes abnormalities and damage to those areas.
10. Metabolism : Regular consumption of instant noodles affect the body’s metabolism, because of the chemical substances like additives, coloring and preservatives inside the noodles.

God bless you for this. I was just going to add this when I stumbled on your post. Instant noodles is killing this generation. I say this at every opportunity. And you will be alarmed at the high levels of MSG contained in the ones produced in this part of the globe. If Coca cola and other soft drinks (having international affiliations) can have dangerously high levels of Benzoate, then imagine instant noodles. I particularly try to stay of 'meals on the go'.
Romance / Re: After Dating For 7 Years, He Called Off Our Engagement. by GoldCircle: 8:58am On May 10, 2017
SammyAx:
I met him in 2010, and I had to leave for graduate school in 2012. We continued dating and he visited me in the U.S as often as he could. After one of such visits, i discovered he had used my laptop to watch pornography. We had a fight, broke up, then made up again.

I am currently studying for my Doctorate and my greencard application (thru sister) is pending, therefore, i cannot travel out of the country now. So last year we decided to do our wedding in the U.S, and he and his family went to my family in Nigeria to pay my bride price.

My dad gave them a small price because he said we don't need their money and he is not selling me. But the problem was that the boxes of items they were to bring for me ended up being all cheap stuff, not even one single set of gold jewelry. My mum was unhappy and embarrassed, and i was terribly unhappy too. His excuse was that they didn't think the stuff would actually get to me since i am far away. My mum actually sent some of the stuff to me to see for myself. So we got into a huge fight and didn't speak for weeks. I later reached out to try and sort out our differences but he now says that he doesn't want to get married anymore.

I am distraught and embarrassed to even tell my family now because i had to fight for him and stand on my decision despite their hesitations. Is this relationship worth fighting for at all anymore? Do I deserve this after all this time?
@OP,
Try to work on it. Give it another shot. Na this kind marriage dey sweet eventually. Nothing good comes easy. Unless of course you really don't love him and you just want to add Mrs. to your appellation. If he's really your friend, you won't let him go just like that. Abi, is there something you ain't telling us?

Munachi you're such an excuse of a single lady. You are everything wrong with a girl child. I know how difficult it's been for your Mum living with the knowledge that she gave birth to you alone. I feel for you that you do not even know who your father is.

I promise you if you dare me, whatever it is you have with lynxx if there is any, I will make sure that it doesn't work out. Really no man who wants a fulfilled and lasting marriage should look your way. You never fail to show the errors in your upbringing which was why you were kicked out of fashion 360 show; the only show that shows ur face on TV. If you don't change, mark my words, it's neither a curse nor an abuse, no man can be able to cohabit with you. And I will never be filled with remorse if I eventually see you with swollen face because you can turn a lamb into a beast with your unruly behavior.

I know you never value your mom which is why she cries to you from the village always that she needs assistance. ..and you know she is confined to the wheelchair yet you have failed to take care of her.

Oh I feel for her really...yes I do. I pray she won't lay a curse on you that is if she hasn't done that yet because all you do is cause her pains and anguish.

Munachi go to Mbaise and see your mum. Go now. ...go...go.....go.
This is gross! do you know her from somewhere? have you got a score to settle with her? I mean, this is way too personal.

The culture of the Igbos, the OP must be Igbo I'm 99.9% sure .Women are nothing but furniture in igboland. It is the custom that makes men far more important than women and male children more valued than females by giving males everything and cheating females by viewing them as sub standard yet people are still holding unto such an evil culture and still clamoring for Biafra. FYI Biafra will definitely be worst than Yemen for females.

See people spending money abroad for sex selection, well done when others can't eat 3 square meal.

Useless culture.
Your comment is totally out of place and it shows your level of education and reasoning. You are not better than the people you seek to condemn. Such sweeping stereotypes are a refection of either a primitive mind or a diseased mind. I choose to go with the former until you prove otherwise. Holding one culture superior to another or one race superior to another has no place in today's world.

princeonx:

It will be so so supper easy to scam you bro except you're broke!
You're seeking a genuine visa for your siblings and you want it like microwave food! (2 mnts, now! Now!! Now!!!).
You claim to live in Europe or UK which ever! meaning you know one or two things about migrating and visa! How come you didn't know that visa are not guaranteed? Saying you don't want trial means you want result! Visa must come out! Or you want an insider that must issue visa. What genuine visa will you get for your siblings that are 15 and 16 years old in such a hurry?
They're minors meaning they need a sponsor! They don't have income, family ties to Nigeria, and they might not even have high school degree yet! What's the rush for? They dey chase una for ur village?
If you have the means (don't dry your woman abeg! She's doing your own process already) get them into school if they're through with high school. You can seek admission into college/university for them in places like Finland, Sweden, Norway, or even UK.
15 and 16 are way way too young to come and join that European hustling/drug life! (You've been there! You're there! And you know better!).
You dey talk of Job for any easiest/quickest Europe country to get to? Lol! Shee na Greece we hunger dey fire go give them Job? Abi na Italy we naija Don flood? Abi Spain we una Don spoil? Tell me where this job you're talking of is?
Like I said, you're probably my fellow igbo guy! (We like to make it lol) but take it easy bro! You will not forgive yourself if they get behind bars. Plan a better option for them if you truly love them! Europe is a no no for an illegal immigrant! You can't survive without getting into illegal sh!t! Being a Nigerian automatically denies your Asylum! They don't and won't believe any cra.p you say! When that happen you're giving few days to leave the country then the hiding begins!
I made same mistake years ago sending my youngest brother to Germany (my mom filled for him to come to US but the waiting time seems too long to him). Within 9 months he had lived in Bremen Germany, Vienna Austria, Palma DE mayoca Spain (ignore spelling), and ended up in New chattel Swiss where he spent total of 5 years including having a son, going to jail, and got deported. At the end of the day (thank God) time went fast and he legally migrated to US with a nasty attitude! For some reason most guys that spend time in Europe are very arrogant, like to show off, and insecure (I know this statement might cost my head) but it is the bitter truth! I've visited there way too much to know! I have friends, cousins, and brother that lived there!
Anyway, na your sibling! Na your money! And na your choice! But deep inside your heart you know what am saying!
Please take this guy's advice. You know as much as we do that Europe isn't what it used to be. Take it easy and please do not underestimate the importance of education in the lives of these young minds.

This sounds funny and tricky. was SOA stamped on the visa/passport. Canada is usually very welcoming to visitors. What sort of questions were asked and what transpired? that will give better insight.

In anycase, since visa is still valid, you may try to enter again through another POE.

I think the writer is the arrogant one here, not the SA High Commission!

Wonder where she got her sense of entitlement from. Applying barely 2 weeks before the proposed travel date; calling her "contacts" to pull strings to fast-track her "visa issuance", like she's guaranteed one; pressuring the embassy with calls and emails, etc., is enough for her application to be "deliberately" delayed and/or denied. Why not turn in your application and sit back while the embassy processes on merit, like every other person without "contacts" would?

Lastly, BMW shouldn't have to lose any "huge amount of money". All they need do is to simply cancel all the bookings, with only a token forfeited as penalty/administrative charge.

But then, what do I know?

And to to think the writer is supposed to be a journalist? A poorly written piece, if you ask me. Sitting here criticizing SA High Commission? If only she knew what folks go through while applying for a short visit visa to Nigeria. Even Nigerians abroad will testify to the goodness of the Nigeria High Commission the world over!

I had wanted to reply, but then i stumbled on your comment. This writer's tirade is totally uncalled for. Her article reeks of arrogance and entitlement. It's not as if she has been denied the visa even when it is the prerogative of the Country to grant or deny a visa. Also, did she pay for fast track service?! The N70,000 she coughed out wasn't to the SA High Commission. It was to an agency.

In Davido's voice - "no be by force to go South Africa". She obviously isn't going about this maturely. Maybe na the hotel booking and the perks wey BMW dey offer her; and wey she think say she fit miss, dey make her head spin.

The patient was admitted for symptoms that sounded like postictal state. He was initially taken to Hospital. CT showed edema and slight midline shift, and therefore he was transferred here. He has been seen by Hospitalists Service. He has not had a recurrent seizure. Electroencephalogram shows slowing. MRI of the brain shows large inhomogeneous infiltrating right frontotemporal neoplasm surrounding the right middle cerebral artery. There is inhomogeneous uptake consistent with potential necrosis. He also has had a SPECT image of his brain, consistent with neoplasm, suggesting relatively high-grade neoplasm. He underwent a biopsy by Dr. Y. One of the notes suggested that this was a glioma, likely an oligodendroglioma, pending a second opinion at Clinic. That is not available on the chart as I dictate.

After discussion of treatment issues with radiation therapist and Dr. Z (medical oncologist), the decision was made to treat him primarily with radiation alone.

Hello

I have been married for 2 years now and i have been doing all my best to give my wife a comfortable life here in nigeria.

My wife on the other hand has not been okay with the idea of staying in nigeria, shes always been wanting a life in USA which i have told her several times that i do not want that life since i am fine in nigeria. I live in my own house i have tenants paying me rent and i have a stress free job.
Now this is the story i woke up one morning and got ready for work, kissed my wife goodbye and i left only for me to close, drove home to meet an empty house i picked up my phone called her but it was switched off i called the mom if she knows anything she said she traveled to the village to settle an issue that she will come back the next day. I chilled to the next day thinking when i come from work i will meet my wife only to meet no one again now i was worried i called the mom again this time she said she is worried too that she will go to the village tomorrow and she will call me when she gets there.

I started suspecting then i did some investigation only to find out that my wife is in USA. i was out of control that night. My wife called me that same night begging me and trying to sweet talk me into moving to USA i told her shes joking young men leave nigeria to abroad to go hustle so they can get what i have in nigeria why will i leave nigeria in my mid 30 to go hustle when i have all the basic things in life i told her its a NO NO for me.

Now i could not take the emotional pains so i started trying to sike her to come back and i will give her all the money shes spent at first she was like i should please chill that we will work it out that i can come visiting and she too can come to nigeria too bla bla bla. so one morning i called her really pleaded with her to come back and offered her money she agreed and told me i should send the money i actually did send the money and when it was time for her to come she did not come only for me to call her and shes telling me she cant just leave her education in USA that this is the life she wants

Now this is what i want to do, i want to move on i really cant stand distance relationship and she has hurt me seriously. she even took along our court wedding certificate saying she doesnt want me to marry another woman or tear it out of anger.

Please i need advise how can i get a divorce on this issue because i really want to move on.

Serious issue here I tell you. @op, you didn't mention if you two had kids together. That also will influence your next line of action. cos it's alot easier to move on when kids aren't involved.
In any case, this shows that your wife hasn't been on the same page with you for a long time and that she had this all figured out. Maybe you were too blind to see. Moving on through the divorce route will be a long one as the marriage certificate is with your wife. She's virtually tied you. You'll have to talk to a lawyer vast in marriage issues to untie this part. cos without the certificate, it a long thing to have a divorce.

Talking about your mother-in-law, I am of the opinion that she had a fore-knowledge of what your wife was up to. That's just the way life goes. A man has got to be a man.

My advice, pick up the pieces and move on. A wife like you just described won't have a problem moving on even if you drop dead. And please don't contemplate relocating to the USA. She'll make your life even more miserable over here.
