Advocate500:The way he was abandoned shocks me. I thought all the governors of the SW were pushing for his release and the intelligentsia in the SW were also pushing for his release. As things stand, the south should rise for their own: Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho. |
When the people are hungry, the rich and the government will not be able to sleep. |
walozanga:Indeed, she messed up big time! |
Tiwa should take the message to heart and leave the messenger. Truth from Kemi Olunloyo. |
This is why majority of Igbos have embraced IPOB philosophy because right before their eyes, Buhari's government continues its culture of nepotism, bias and Fulanisation agenda. |
Many Nigerians don't know that MNK doesn't need to push the Biafran agitation because of his background as a Prince. I even wonder that he has never used the word Prince before his name at any given time that I am aware of. I am amazed that the two Biafran pro-independence leaders and champions of the Igbo are not from the downtrodden classes of Nigerians but from the upper and upper-middle classes. Ojukwu, the son of a billionaire put everything on the line to protect his people. MNK, a prince and heir to the throne in his community also chose the path of most resistance rather than comfort. No wonder, Igbos hold these men in the highest of esteems. They leave their comfort zones to fight for the rights of their people and those of other oppressed Nigerian natives. May God grant MNK victory against the evil reactionary forces that have refused to let Nigeria reach its full glory. |
Haba, this government is not intelligent at all. These youths may be more prepared this time around to expose this government and they are playing into their hands. When is it illegal and unconstitutional to protest peacefully in Nigeria? |

If part of MNK's charges is that he called Buhari an idiot, then we need to be carrying out psychological evaluation of our politicians henceforth. Anyone of them who cannot bear the heat from the kitchen of politics shouldn't go near the place. They insulted GEJ, and other politicians including OBJ. Who did those presidents arrest? |
But police should allow them protest in peace. Is peaceful assembly no longer a constitutional and human right in Nigeria? |
Umahi should be very careful. You don't fight your people and win! Instead of addressing the grievances of the South-East, Umahi is here fighting those who are making efforts to stand up to a ruthless, and nepotistic government only concerned about the north. |
But why has Buhari continued to show his hatred for the south, particularly the South-East? He has also continued to overreach himself. He has moved the army to the South-East to enforce "Golden Dawn" while Niger State for instance is under Boko Haram rule. Why he focuses on the South-East with minimal security challenges and shows blind eye to many northern states overrun by bandits and terrorists beats me. Hypocrisy of the highest order! |

You mean this accomplished and quintessential Igbo man lived with a bullet he got when he fought in the Biafran war all his life? Wow. What a legend! What a hero? Didn't give complaint about that sad episode which should have stopped many in their tracks. He trudged on, became a surgeon, married the beautiful and elegant Prof Dora Akunyili, fathered successful children, supported his community and others, and now he has written his name in gold letters. I am inspired! |
So this guy was killed by Fulani herdsmen? But why did they pin it on unknown gun men initially? |
Thanks for sharing these beautiful thoughts. You're right 100%. greatnaija01: |
Mossadd:Wow. May your days be long in health, peace, prosperity and may your path be strewn with oil and gold. You made my day. Couldn't have said it better. |
Very, very true. Thanks wink2015: |
blackpanda:I thought I was engaging in a decent conversation with you. Anyways, suit yourself. Your narrative fits your ilk. |
blackpanda:If this trend is sustained, aspirations to become governors will no longer belong to people who only come to chop and fatten their tummies. Creative people, intelligent people, people with economic and development sagacity will throw their hats in the ring and the development we think will be endangered will be achieved. Every state in Nigeria has the potential to become an economic wonder. But when every month, all the Chief Executives do is queue up to pick their monthly allowee from the centre, why would they become creative to generate the needed funds for their development and growth? This happening is good for Nigeria and stirs us in the right direction which is restructuring of this lop-sided union. |
blackpanda:Are you telling me that Oyo, Osun, Imo, Enugu, and Abia do not generate anything? Then let it be so. By the time the feeding bottle is taken away from them, they will be forced to generate something for their own needs. |
bayelsaowei:Very, very true. I agree. |
Osibanjo just dey fall hand. How can agitations for secession equal extinction for the secessionists? I used to think that age comes with wisdom but when you see some elderly people drape their lives with lies, you begin to wonder whether age is overhyped. How can a southern vice president of this quality with professorial education and a Christian say things that don't represent the interests of his people but just those of his principal who has continued to oppress southern Nigerians, kill them through his Fula-dominated army while treating criminals and terrorists in his region with kid gloves. Yet, this VP will never stand for his people. Rather, all he does is say things that further the interests of the oppressors. The south is waking up; the voodoo is wearing off. From VAT, to Telecoms, to ban on open grazing, to restructuring and fiscal federalism or full-blown secession. And secession, VP Osibanjo, is not extinction. |
This culture of monkey dey work baboon dey chop will soon be over. Why would a state like Lagos State generate N41 billion and be given N14 billion from it? How can such a paltry amount meet the development needs of the state? Same for Rivers; they generate N15 billion and end up with N4 billion. It is high time this injustice was thrown into the Atlantic ocean. You don't want people to secede because it is extinction. You don't want to restructure. You don't want to practise fiscal federalism. You don't want to stop open grazing. You ban alcoholic drinks from the south in Kano by your religious police, yet you keep pouting one Nigeria uppandan when there is injustice and lack of accountability everywhere. Buhari is hastening Nigeria's dismemberment and anyone who thinks otherwise is playing with self-delusion. The south is the resource base of Nigeria but it has remained chained by the North. The time to break free or renegotiate this fake, one-sided, lop-sided, north-centric and Fulani-dominated union is now! |
Seems this VP does not understand the meaning of extinction. Secession and extinction should not be in the same conversation. You're trying to kill me; you're not giving me peace of mind to pursue my development; you're frustrating my growth and I say I want to leave, and you begin to cry extinction. Are you ment? Address the issues and really there are examples of countries that separated and all of them are doing well today. |
See how you just attacked an innocent Christian who may be wrong in his approach of preaching the Gospel but stands true with the message of salvation which points to Christ. If I were you, in the spirit of brotherly love, I would first of all talk to him in secret before chiding him in the open. He is doing God's work so you know because Paul said those that preach the gospel with strife (without understanding or with violence) should be left alone because the main thing is that Christ is preached. Be slow to cast the first stone because you may be guilty of what you're trying to correct yourself. In fact, your approach smacks of "vawulence". I could have written you in private but since you violated the first principles, I chose to violate mine too. Leave that man alone. If you cannot do what he is doing, don't join others to mud-sling him. It is un-Christly and uncharitable. Stay blessed. SeraphEl: |
Buhari has destroyed Nigeria's unity and future. Only God will save us. Nigerians now also have to take their destiny in their hands. |
This is very true. He knows that is when their wicked agenda against the south can materialise. But what he doesn't know is that no matter how strong the Nigerian army is, when the people rise against it, they may win at the beginning, but the will of the people will give them victory. It happened in the Central African Republic. It happened in Libya. And it happened in Iraq and in all strongholds where wicked leaders thought they had the people perpetually in their armpit. |
Dailymice:The ugly pattern is very familiar. Buhari's government has been up to no good from time. |

You guys always reason everything based on tribalism. There are only 5syates actually contributing to vat. 2 of them are in the north.
