Frankly and ideally, if a woman loves you, she would want to show you off. Same for the man; if you love a girl or lady, you will be excited to show her off. (I am not talking about social media love.) Also, the woman who loves you would want to see your family and would want you to see her family. But there are special situations when these may not apply. It could be because of her personality type. It could also be because of past experiences or what she's learnt about people who showed their spouses off or brought them to their parents and things didn't work out eventually. Or she could have a wonderful family situation which may make it difficult for her to bring you to her people. But always start from the first point, which is that ideally, she would want you to see or meet her people.

So, if you are ready to settle down with her or are serious with the relationship, get to know her family. If she refuses, ask her why. If she's not forthcoming with cogent reasons, be worried and let her know. And if possible, cut off the relationship. Save yourself the emotional and financial investment involved in dating a chewing-gum girl or a girl still bent on sowing her wild oats.

I don't like discussing religious issues in public forums like this because I came here for business. Nevertheless, one thing is clear, anything outside of the Bible such as revelations which are conceived or seen by one person is not a basis for doctrine. I really wonder why churches build doctrines based on one scripture; meanwhile in the words of two or three witnesses, evidence for spiritual truth is to be confirmed (Matthew 18:16; 2 Cor 13:1; 1 Timothy 5:19; Hebrews 10:28). The scripture only speaks of one place where a man should not wear the clothing of a woman and a woman should not wear the clothing of a man. Aside being under the law and the old testament, that scripture is just in Deuteronomy 22:5. No other place in the Bible repeats that scripture. Besides, if wearing articles of jewels can take anyone to hell, what if a prostitute becomes born again this minute and when trying to cross the road was killed by a drunk driver while she was still putting on her makeup, jewels and skimpy dresses? Will she also show up in hell fire?

If no, then does that not reveal some truths that we should pause to consider? 1, it shows that if these jewels and makeup were that powerful, they should take anyone to hell fire when he or she dies putting them on irrespective of whether they just got born again recently or have been born again for some time. Two, does it not show that churches and believers that criticise people wearing jewels and makeup and using that as a basis to judge them are just on a wild goose chase?

Meanwhile, recall that a thief died on the cross but was promised a place in paradise because he believed in Jesus and confessed openly his faith in Him; and that was without any making of restitution, saying the sinner's prayer or even apologising to those he had heavily and brutally wronged and sometimes murderously sent to the land beyond. [I am actually writing a book on this and I hope it sets many people free and for them to understand the spiritual value of redemption].

See, heaven is for sinners not saints. And no jewels can take any man or woman to hell fire except other things are involved. for example, does the man/woman treat the jewels like an idol? Your job, beauty, education, parentage, anything can be your idol and not what we ostensibly think are materialistic like money and gold jewels.

Mehn, if people know the quality and power of the grace Jesus bought with His blood, they will go crazy but religion remains a dangerous blindfold that comes with heavy chains.

One of the ways to know that she loves you, get to know her parents or siblings and feel the vibes they show towards you. If they are warm towards you, then make your intentions known to the mother first or the father whoever you think calls the shot. Some mothers call the shot in a home; so know who runs the parade. But start with the mother. Emotionalise your feelings for her daughter. Mothers feel emotions and words have power over them; This can get you a forever acceptance by her. But it could also go the wrong way if she decides to exploit it, God forbid, that is if she's materialistic. Also be close to her siblings; start with the one or ones they feel is difficult and start penetrating them little by little. It's a tough call, I know. But this is the way to show that you're responsible and are willing and ready to take their daughter to the altar. If you just know the daughter but the family doesn't know you, somebody else can show up before you and take her.

Life is a competition. I was living in a fool's paradise not recognising this. If you indeed love her, some efforts have to be exerted to win her family over to you.
