Three Online Applications submitted on the 5th of November 2019. for myself, mum and Wife. And i am the sponsor for everyone. Mums refusal mail came since on the 21st Dec.2019 but up till now nothing has been updated on mine and my wife. PLEASE IS THERE A PROBLEM SOMEWHERE OR I SHOULD BE POSITIVE ABOUT IT?

Short answer: By making payment.

Generally hotel companies give period of days before they will cancel your reservation if you fail to make payment.

However, the length of days will depend on the customer. Some travel agencies can secure a longer days reservations even without paying the money.

I assume u want to apply for a tourist visa to France. You don't need to pay for the tour package, but you can book for any tourist attraction center you may want to visit and print the booking and submit together with your application.

Thanks everyone on Nairaland n happy new year to you all. I’m a silent reader here but I’m very moved to post for the first time.

I’m based in Johannesburg n been to Paris twice n got my third visa and at the same time helped over 8 guys get both France and Netherlands visa. In October I sent copies of all my visas and bank statements for my ‘then fiancée’ who’s based In Nigeria in order for her to apply for hers so we could go for honeymoon this January.

First Application we submitted:
Visa form
Passport photo
Employment and leave approval letter
Three months bank statement
Travel insurance
No objection letter from her parent
My bank statements
Copy of all my visas and datapage
Wedding IV card
Hotel and flight reservation.

Submitted 20th October n it got rejected on the 29th on basis that ‘justification for the reason of travel not reliable’. ‘ Now we are married on 19th December’

We then reapplied on the 20th December with;
Visa form
Photograph
Travel insurance
Flight reservation
Hotel
Employment n leave letter
6 months bank statement
Registry marriage certificate
5 pictures taken at the registry
My visa copies
Bank statement
NOC from her parents
Tour packages
Cover letter and a sponsorship letter from me.

And yesterday 3rd, we went to go collect her passport from Vfs Lagos and boom she got her One Month multiple entry new visa. I’m elated n haven’t gotten over it yet.

For anyone out there who was denied before, don’t relent. Add more docs and you’re good to go.

Let me share my experience.

Our plan was to travel to Canada December 23

Paper application submitted with my husband on September 12, 2019 with the following documents:
All our passports
Letter from office
Pay slip
Bank details
Invitation from cousin in canada
Flight itinerary
Cover letter
Property documents
My son's US passport data page
NOTE that hubby and I submitted on our own individual merit. The only thing we shared was property documents
We also gave our biometrics

September 29 request for medical sent to only me, nothing sent to hubby.

October 22, Medicals done at IOM.

No word after that.

December 4, which is 80 days after submission, I send an email to Canada DHC in Lagos and follow up with a letter through DHL asking for status of application as my travel date is approaching. No response.

December 18, I get email on Validity of Biometrics.

December 19, I get response to my December 4 email from Canada DHC that my processed passport has been sent to the VAC.

Today December 20, after waiting 97 days (3 months and 7 days) hubby goes to VAC and retrieves our passports. We were granted multiple entry visas for the validity of our passports. Mine is 2024. Hubby is 2021. Glory to God.

Guess what? VAC I.e VFS has not sent us email or text till this moment to come and collect our passports. These VFS people ehn.

Anyway, hope this helps someone. Cheers!

Hmmmm, Mums final decision just landed less than 24 hrs after the background check started and it was a refusal..... she has been to canada before in 2012. and this time i decided to sponsor her trip for xmas vacation. And no decision yet on mine and my wife. PLEASE WILL HER REFUSAL AFFECT MYSELF AND MY WIFE'S APPLICATION? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP AND WHAT TO DO NEXT?

TRUST ME, I HAVE USED A CANCELLED HOTEL BOOKING AND THE VISA WAS GRANTED. THE EMBASSY DONT EXPECT YOU TO PAY FOR IT BEFORE VISA GRANTED. THANKS

Was denied straight up. Dated 19/02/2018 ( that’s for a 2019 application ).

The truth is that you cant truly determine the timing, before now it was online that was pretty fast and right now it seems paper route is faster, permit me to use the word fastest..... lol. OCTOBER 5TH online still waiting and trusting God. MERRY XMAS TO EVERYONE AND A GLORIOUS MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA TILL YOUR PASSPORT EXPIRES IN 2020.

GOOD MORNING, YOUR VALID SCHENGEN VISA PERMITS YOU TO TRAVEL BY AIR TO ANY SCHENGEN STATE. I TRAVELED FROM Rome–Fiumicino International Airport TO Stuttgart Airport in Germany. but your passport wont be stamped, just to identify you.
