EducationRe: 19-year-old Girl Who Graduated From University At 17 Lists Her Achievements by Goldstar(m): 12:27pm On Jun 03, 2018
MDsambo:
University = 4yrs

17-4=13

Senior secondary = 3yrs

Jenior secondary = 3yrs

3+3=6
13-6=7

Primary = 6yrs

7-6=1

Kindergarten and Nursery one to two = 3yrs

1-3= -2yrs

So she started school 2yrs before she was born, graduated from secondary school at 13 and primary at 7?
Wow, congratulations
It's very possible. I have a 6year old in pry 3. He got double promotion twice and he is not holding back at all.
EducationBBN And Nigerian Youths by Goldstar(op): 8:24pm On Apr 27, 2018
Total number of votes cast during Britain Got talent 2017 = 6.2million votes

Total number of votes cast during American got talent 2017 = 52.1million votes. American population is twice Nigerian population.

Mind you, most of the votes cast on either Britain or American got talent are absolutely free because you can vote on their websites & on the Apps without paying a dime.

Total number of votes cast during “Big Brother Nigeria” 2018 = 170million votes @ N30 per sms for a show that contributes absolutely nothing to their lives. Going by the figures, it will take America & Britain combined three & half years to organise a talent show to catch up with Nigeria.

It is neither a talent show or life enhancing or promoting show. A show where two adults are kept in a cage to freely give & take sex on National Television, while the organisers make more money from the youths.

If INEC organises general election this weekend and ask Nigerian youths to vote on their mobile phones @ N10 per SMS to elect leaders that will shape their futures & the country, they will ask Nigerian Government to credit their accounts 1st before they will agree to vote in that magnitude.

“Wasted Generation” ~ Prof. Wole Soyinka called them.

“A generation that play too much, sleep too much and engage in idle chatter and gossip" ~ Chief Obafemi Awolowo foresaw

“A generation of illiterate graduates” ~ Atiku Abubakar called them in 2016

A generation that are constantly not concerned about the deteriorating conditions of their senses & not bothered about their own future~ Osquare78 knows them.

“Idle youths who sit and do nothing, but expecting everything from govt free” ~Pre. Buhari surmised about them

We all must be wary of this generation.... they are the larger chunk of Nigerian population.

It is pathetic. 170 Million votes Multiplied by N30 = N 5.1 billion and the winner got N25 million plus an SUV worth N12 million a trip and electronics. Let us even assume that sms votes is 85 million, that will be N2.55 billion. So so sad...
JUST FANCY THIS:

BBNija ended sunday night.
The program got 170 million votes for the housemates during its about 3months run.
At 30 Naira each, that’s approximately 5.1 billion Naira, for a grand prize of N45m.
What a return on investment for DSTV/Multichoice!!!

The youths have spoken, yes!
Mr. President you're absolutely right! They are not only lazy, but also stupid!

Christianity EtcRe: Even If My Pastor Gambles With My Tithe, I Will Continue To Pay. by Goldstar(m): 7:44pm On Feb 11, 2018
[quote author=FriendofGod post=64975501]First of all, what I notice is that you give because you want to receive and not because you are a cheerful giver. You give because it works for you. Tithing according to the law makes one give out of compulsion. This is against how Christ wants us to give. When he told the rich man to sell his properties and follow Him, He never promised the man earthly riches in return. My problem with your way of giving is that it is an act of false generosity which would end as soon as it stops working for you.

Please I am not giving out of compulsion. I started paying my tithe about 25years ago and have never regretted doing so. Like I said, nobody told me to tithe. I read it in the bible and decided to obey. If I am not a cheerful giver, God wouldn't be blessing me and He will definitely not honour my prayers whenever I remind Him of my obedience to His word. Please read Malachi again. He said I should bring my tithe and offering into His storehouse and see if He will not rebuke the devourer for my sake. He also said He will open the heavens for me. So, is it out of place to remind God of His promises to me?. Like I said, my dealing is with God and not pastors. I don't tell pastors when I'm paying my tithe or donating to the less privilege. I only deal with my creator.
Christianity EtcRe: Even If My Pastor Gambles With My Tithe, I Will Continue To Pay. by Goldstar(m): 11:33am On Feb 11, 2018
This tithe issue is being over flogged. I tithe and it's my personal decision. I was not told to tithe by any man of God. I read it in the bible and believed in it and it has been working wonders for me. At times when things seems hard, I go on my knees and tell God to remember my givings and how I have been faithful to it and everything will change immediately. Please, tithing depends on your relationship with God. It is personal and you don't need any third party to dictate how you worship your God to you. It is not by force. If you don't believe in it, then stop discouraging others from doing it. No amount of preaching can stop me from tithing cause I know what it has done for me. I don't pay it to any pastor but to God. If the pastor likes let him embezzle it, that does not stop God from blessing me. The pastor has God to answer to. Mine is to obey. The bible says judgment shall start from the house of God. It is not in my place to judge but God's

PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Certificate, APC And Unanswered Questions by Goldstar(m): 12:23pm On Jan 23, 2015
Honestly this certificate issue is unnecessarily being overflogged. INEC has already cleared BUHARI to contest in 2015 election and the truth is that he will contest wether we like it or not. So, why are we killing ourselves over 53yrs old certificate?

How does the issue of secondary school certificateof obtained 53yrs ago put food on my table? how does it give thousands of unemployed youths out there jobs? how does it lead to stable electricity supply, how does it solve the problem insecurity in this country?

I am really tired of this hullabaloo. Let us all channel our efforts towards something more productive than exert our energy on one nonsense school cert stuff. I am sure some people here are unemployed, let us sit down and think of ways to better our lives. We have been on this issue for long and i think it's time we laid it to rest and move forward.
BusinessRe: My Friend At GTBank Took 80,000 Naira From My Account by Goldstar(m): 7:05pm On Apr 16, 2009
For those who have never experienced this kind of situation before will most likely say all sorts of things. Yes, it is wrong to debit someone's account without the authorisation of the account holder. But how do you describe a situation in which you borrowed someone who calls himself your best friend part of the money you wanted to use to pay your house rent and your so called best friend refuses to pay back. Not because he didnot have the money but he just refused to pay back and you are right there staring at huge sum of money in his account. IT IS WICKEDNESS.

The situation above was what i faced. I borrowed my friend the sum of N250,000 for an urgent need. I told him the money was meant for the payment of my house rent which expired in January 2009 and he promised to pay in a month's time. the money was actually given to him in October 2008. When the date for repayment came,, he began to avoid me till february when i ran out of patience. The irony of the whole issue is that his account is domiciled with my bank and everyday, i watch huge amount starked in his account and yet he refused to pay me back, knowing fully well, that my house rent was already due for payment. He refused to pick my calls, whenever i visit him, they will tell me he's not around.

I got so much frustrated that i told my operations manager who advised me on what to do. the luck i had was that the money i borrowed him was credited to his account by me. The operations manager sympathised with me and carefully gave it a thought. He later told me how to go about it. In short, his account was debited outrightly without his approval or authorisation (though, i had to write to the branch management who authorised the debit into his account).

He later went to his branch to complain but was told that the 250,000 initially credited to his account in october was reversed and described as a wrong transaction. He couldnt utter a word.

Human beings could be terrible at times. The writer has not given the details of the situation, he has not told us how many times his friend called to plead with him to pay back, he has not told us what he told his friend when he was about borrowing the money. Now, that his friend has debited his account, he is alerting the whole world. THAT IS WHAT I CALL BETRAYAL AND WICKEDNESS.
RomanceRe: I Am Confused by Goldstar(op): 5:53pm On Jan 07, 2009
I already asked Tade why the sudden change of mind but she said, she was a bit confused then. She said, we were about 4 asking her out at the same time and that she was only trying to buy time to study us and make up her mind. She also said, she has been deceived by guys before and she wanted to be sure of what she really wants before involving herself in another relationship.
RomanceI Am Confused by Goldstar(op): 4:53pm On Jan 07, 2009
I met this lady, Tade in September and wooed her for 4 months all to no avail. She kept on telling me that she's engaged. Even when i bought gift for her during the xmas season, she turned it down on grounds that she does not feel anything for me. So, i gave up and turned to Glory, a lady who have been trying to give me her attention (i mean showing interest in me). I have avoided Glory all this while becos of Tade whom i actually did like.

The point now is, Tade came around on January 2 to tell me that she is now interested when i'm already down with Glory. Even though, i accepted, I don't still know what to do. I'm a bit confused. The relationship between Glory and I is still very fresh and she loves me very much. I dont want to hurt her. But i also love Tade, may be becos she's more goodlooking than Glory, i cant really figure it out. The love Tade has shown me in this few days is awesome. She calls me almost every minute. Same goes to Glory as well.

I AM CONFUSED. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO OR WHERE TO START FROM.
RomanceRe: Nice Guys Don't Get Laid by Goldstar(m): 9:12am On Aug 14, 2008
I don't really understand what we are talking about here. I'm confused! are we trying to say that nice guys are BAD and that bad guys are GOOD. I don't just understand. This is simple ENGLISH. May be we should just go to the dictionary and get the meaning of the word NICE and stop mixing it up with relationship issues. A nice person, be it guy or lady is someone who is caring, receptive, understanding, kind and generally likeable or loveable.

Whoever is nice is NICE and whoever is bad is BAD. This is different from when a guy is weak, possessive, lacks understanding of how to talk to or approach a lady, lacks confidence etc. A bad guy could know how to do so many things and yet lacks the knowhow to talk to or approach a lady. The same goes to a nice guy.

I have a friend is who very bold and confident, infact he is regarded as one of the happening guys in my area but when it comes to women issues, he is just not there. I have equally seen very nice guys that are smooth talkers. I think the issue of being weak, not knowing how to woo a lady etc is an attitude problem and not a matter of being a NICE or BAD guy. Mind you, some of these so called NICE guys may turn out to be extremely BAD. After being jilted or maltreated by ladies they come back for revenge and when they do, they turn out to be VERY VERY BAD. They usually have this attitude of USE THEM and DUMP THEM.
RomanceRe: Relationships: When Is The Right Time To Insist On A Hiv Test? by Goldstar(m): 6:07pm On Aug 06, 2008
we all know know that HIV can be contracted through various means but most importantly, you have to go for HIV test once you have decided or made up your mind to enter into a relationship with someone. Whether the relationship would involve sex or not, it is advisable to go for the test once you and whoever you want to date has agreed to go into a relationship. Be it marriage or pre marriage relationship.

We will only be deceiving ourselves by saying that we will do at the point we want to have sex. Remember we are humans with emotions and anything can happen anytime, even when you least expect it to happen. You might just be with an opposite sex and one thing or the other would happen, and before you know it, you're already having sex with the person. I've heard cases like that. So, please do the right thing and STAY ALIVE.

i am not ready to date or go out with any girl if she's not ready to go for a HIV test after deciding to go out with me, no matter how pretty she may look.
RomanceRe: Do Men Decieve Women Or Do Women Decieve Themselves? by Goldstar(m): 10:24am On Jul 29, 2008
well, i think most women don't actually know what they want.

when you call them three to five times a day, they complain they that the guy is not giving them a breathing space. Don't call them for one or two days, they tell say you are not caring.

You try to show them love by showering them with gifts, they say you are trying to buy their love. Don't buy them anything and they say, you're stingy.

Give them respect, they say you don't have self esteem. Don't respect them, they say you don't know how to treat a woman.

Give them attention, they say you're easily available, weak and pestering. Don't give them attention, they say you don't love them or you're probably seeing someone else.

When they have opportunity of choosing between a good guy and a bad guy, they go for the bad guy because they say that the good guy is too weak, dull and boring. when the bad guy breaks their heart and dumps them after sucking the juicy part of them out like an orange and throws it into a waste bin like a piece of junk, they cry out their life, saying that men are bad.

The truth is that MOST women don't really know what they want and they end up deceiving themselves.
RomanceRe: Why Nice Guys Finish Last by Goldstar(m): 4:41pm On Jun 25, 2008
I don't believe nice guys finish last. Have you ever stopped to wonder why the so-called players/bad guys would want to settle down with a nice/well mannered lady at the end of the whole game. Have you ever stopped to wonder why the so-called bad girl would suddenly want to look out for a nice guy (not a player) for marriage?

The answer is simple. While growing up, we all want to explore, want to be free and fly like a bird, we want to taste the good, the bad and the ugly. But when getting more matured, we want the best by searching for peace and happiness. There are lots of ladies in the church today looking for nice guys to settle down with.
