I'm above mid thirties, finished NYSC 2015 and i just secured a government teaching job after spending more than 3 years teaching in private schools. I met my wife earlier 2019, she was in her final year in school, we dated throughout the year and planned to get married after she graduated. She graduated and we make a move for our introduction, then we suggested to have the marriage before she go for her Nysc so as to enable her serve in our home state as I already have a rented apartment to start a small family.

As we were planning for the marriage, we were also planning her NYSC. She was required to have a medical certificate for the NYSC which of course required blood test including genotype. She came back with the result of her genotype as AS. That was the only time I remember to take genotype issue serious. Even if I have some little knowledge about it before, I decided to research more about it on the internet and also met some of my friends who are medically inclined. I came to realize my own genotype test is also important at that moment. I might have done the test in school but I didn't pay attention to it usefulness so I don't remember the result.

I don't usually fall sick except for normal malaria when there is mosquito bite, never had a drip line in my body for once, never slept in a hospital bed, I don't have any reason to take note of my genotype or blood test.

Her results then prompt me to have my own test done too which came out to be AS also. By these periods we have convinced our families to choose a date for the marriage so that we can have the wedding before her NYSC. Marriage is to hold in a week time when I got my own genotype result.
From my further findings about AS and AS couple, I discovered how risky it is for their offsprings. I tried to explain to her but she turned a deaf ear, she alleged me of trying to break her heart at that critical period. She reported to her sisters they tried to blame me but I make them all realized it's not my fault because throughout my visitation and introduction to their family nobody has ever ask us about genotype. I am an orphan, I don't have any closer family to guide me except for my sisters who can't wait for me to get married because of my age, they also had never thought of it as well.

My wife sisters gave us some examples of older couples who were both AS with only one or no sickler among their children. My wife also made a threat of killing herself or she kill me if the marriage didn't hold. She even suggested we proceed with the marriage and break up after few weeks of marriage because of the shame that may follow if we stop the marriage or maybe she was desperate because of the marriage certificate, I don't know. I maintained my stand of backing off the marriage but she reported to my sisters also. Her sisters and my sisters later tried to encourage us to go ahead with prayers since we have chosen the date. We were advised not to disclose our genotype result to anyone again because people will discourage us.

Even though I was skeptical about the marriage, it later commenced with less spending because the Nikkah was held in a mosque and a tent for refreshments.
After the marriage we tried to talk about it, and she told me, she was afraid, may be she was pregnant before the marriage that's why she insisted on going ahead with the marriage. She also revealed to me that she was not happy with the decision as well, means she also know the implications but she have to avoid the shame of stopping the marriage after inviting guests to the occasion.

During these period genotype before the marriage, my love for her reduced drastically because of her desperation and her refusal to understand the risk we are about to take. I tried to avoid pregnancy from our first month of marriage but I later gave up and she conceived immediately. Now she is closer to her delivery. We hardly talk or play together inside. We only discuss about feeding, maternity and things to get for the coming baby.
I discovered we quarrel over little things that can be over looked by lovers. I'm not happy in the marriage, I spend most of time watching TV or stay outside all day because of unresolved issues.

I'm planning to arrange for a divorce after she delivered the baby because this is my first baby and I would love to have 2 or 3 kids more. I can't take the risk of allowing any of my children to be a sickler.
Advise is needed if my plan for divorce is a good one and do I stand a chance of loosing anything?

Dont be offended sir , please how much is ur pay( salary ) when u started the gvt teaching job and how long did it take for the recruitment process for the teaching job .

Please i need a sincere answer cause i am currently working in a private company where i earn 50 k but i am on a neck of one commissioner for education for a job , i suspect he will give me a teaching job since he is a commissioner for education and secondly ....he only requsted for my name , phone no. Date of birth , account details and qualification ..its 1 month plus he said the recruitment is ongoing ...so, i wish to know my fate reasons i asked my question pls kindly answer

Dear country men /women .

Do u all know that Cross river state is currently carrying out local government election regardless of Covid 19 ? Please who do we offend in this country ? Same state that short down religious activities and schools just partially lifted the ban on religious activities to 50 member per service still had the mind to conduct election .....though the governor tried by not suffering his people during this lock down cause business went on like normal and every sector like market and the rest was still normal just schools and churches got affected and i am so sure if not for Fg they would not hv short down anywhere . My concern is why would Fg allow this election to go on nor INEC ? And, one can easily deduce why Cross river insist on no single case so they can carry out their election freely ..

If u hv been following news u will observe Edo and ogun election have more momentum (talk about ) in fact date has been fixed for primary yet no date for resumption of school .

The other time Wike locked us for almost a week total lock down but lifted the ban on the basis of he wants to inuaguarate pdp exco and socail distancing was not observe ...NCDC /Fg said nothing ...



Who do they want to kill people with hunger and job loss for no reason ? If political activities can go on why cant other aspect ...


Burials and weddings are on hold but lga election is going on in cross river who did we offend in this country ....yes they have no case but thats not an excuse for election if they insist it is , then they should allow weddings, burials ,school and church activities to go on there biko.

You have said alot , but I will respond to few...I don't really know when rivers started their lockdown, but I know Lagos started first around March , even before the president order for shutdown ....I aggree with u that the govt doesn't have us in heart , but nobody will release the name of a covid 19 , patient to u...the third case in Nigeria and in Lagos , was mistakenly let known and the family and their biz are facing it now... Presently in Lagos , many people are infected and are treating at home mostly for those that has no health issue apart from the corona virus ...so don't be angry with Gov Wike as long as the law is applicable to everybody which is what Gov Wike is doing , look at Bauchi , Kano , Kastina 100 are dieing within a week, most zof their patients are runing from isolation centre , many are coming to the south , Kaduna State , Gov El -Rufia monitors the boundary to ensure compliance check the news and many Almajiri runing to Kaduna was caught and were tested positive and they were sent back to their states, many were caught in Anambra, many Enugu many in Rivers , cross Rivers , my questions for u is that , what Wike is doing is it bad ?, Should he allow people from outside Rivers to bring corona inside for u pple ?...why are they sending almajir to the south in this lockdown ??... See any Gov that fails to protect his pple.during this lockdown , will have himself blame...many pple are sharing their problem to other states and ur Gov is trying to protect u , and u are complaining before u dont know the info they have .....see before corona issue , Lagos State govt had ban bikes and Keke because of this same issue , even during this lockdown , many Almajiri have been sent back , many tested positive and they are treating them...Lagos State just don't want to voice out because is in the ruling party, what Wike is doing most state includinh Lagos govt knows about it and knows it's the best for u pple, before u nailed Wike to the cross for enforcing lockdown, pls wait a little for another one month to see what he trying to save u from.... Why not close and monitor the borders and allow flexible movement within the state ? Why shut two most economical local government down then allow the rest ...why lock people for almost two months with no incentive ...for the sake of knowledge before the president announced lock down Rivers state was already locked

Are u saying Rivers State was shut down before corona entered Nigeria through Lagos ?...Lagos has been in lockdown before Rivers had it first case ....we went for more than a month shut down without any palliatives from any govt, we only saw on news that they share without seeing anything even though they claimed to share only to the old pple , almost all of them did't get the palliative...many pple in lag had to go to rich pple area to get something to eat ...what Wike is doing is the best , u pple should bear with him , no doubt our govt bleeped up for not helping us with incentives , but should they allow us. We will die on the streets...just within a shut while the lockdown has been relax in Lagos , go check how the number of cases has increase, u will see more when it's 14 days after relaxation of lockdown... Wike is only trying to enforce the law for everybody and that's the best , because of our president has done same at the onset , there would be a single case in Nigeria , but they allow those big names to enter with the virus before shutdown and today the poor pple are the ones suffering it...if Wike decide to seat in govt house and allow the police force alone, corona will hit u hard , because police will collect money and allow everyone enter...hope u are aware of Almajiris from northern states coming to the south during this lockdown ?...most of them have tested positive for the virus just imagine if they have entered Rivers ....Bro everything is not politics oo...this is a real issue that we all must come together to fight .

I am just curious and wish to know if one can get a gvt job through such means ....he would have given me direct employment from his state but we came from different state .

Good day everyone, pls i am in need of advice , after my service year that ended 2018 July , i was lucky to be retained in a private school though i didn't teach for a complete month before i got an offshore job that pays 50k monthly . I have worked for a year and some few months now , irrespective of some of my reckless spending i have been able to raise 640k . I intend to have a side hustle and from the look of things uber is my best bet cause i will manage it my self cause i work one month on and off.

Hello house , i am in serious need of your contributions pls . I applied for the on going Nigeria navy dssc after registration i printed out forms for officers or top government officials to sign , i happene to contact my state Secretary general and plea for his signature he accepted and asked me to bring it to asaba , i asked for the address he insisted he will sign it that i should bring it to asaba anytime i am ready .


My challenge is that, i have never been to Asaba before and i dont know where the office of the state secretary is located cause i wish to go for the signing and return back same day ..if you have any idea pls help .

Well, base on the issue ,make i follow put mouth. Dear students (females) dont allow anyone victimise you , there are many ways to suppress your suppressor except u key into their request.

First ,when u are faced with such pressure make use of your smartphone or a recorder most lecturers that are into such act behave stupidly at times ,get evidence then meet a decent higher authority regarding that .And, even if you dont have evidence but the pressure is high , visit your state or local government student meeting and seek for your patrons help, i believe most patrons can help in a very vast way ...make sure you follow up through your patron, your patron can easily write to VC,DEAN and FACULTY officers and it will be acknowledged since hes a lecturer in same university.

If you patron is too busy , just go to any church located inside your school and meet the pastor of the church, most are connected with top authorities of your school cry and beg him to intervene believe me you will be set free immediately.

I know most students dont talk to their parents regarding this .if not , some lecturers for done chop embarrassment, by d time your mom or your dad comes and give him a public disgrace! all the lecturers in that dept will seat up but this might affect you by other immoral lecturers. So ,use your patrons, church pastors and decent authorities and make it private.

Rule 101:- dont keep any form of sexual advances private speak with close friends regarding that .

Lastly, kudos to all those lecturers who act based on the standard of teaching ethics you are noticed and note ;your reward is huge, God is watching you ...
