Rhapsody Of Realities MINISTER GRACE WITH YOUR WORDS Tuesday, August 6th 2019 Pastor Chris Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). Corrupt communication is communication that’s worthless and unsavoury; unworthy of the Lord. Never allow foul or polluting language, evil, unwholesome talk find vent through you. I made up my mind a long time ago to be gracious and graceful in my communication, to speak the right words only. The Bible says sweet and bitter waters don’t come out of the same fountain (James 3:11). Being born again, you’re anointed to bless. Your words should, and must lift and inspire others, not beat them down. Make the decision that only the right words will come out of your mouth, even when you seem to be making a joke. Speak words that are consistent with your nature of righteousness. The most effective way to keep your communication gracious at all times is filling your heart and mind with the Word, for out of that abundance, you’ll speak. Give greater attention to the Word, and when the need arises, at the time of crisis and tests, only words of wisdom, solution, blessing and love will come forth from you. The Bible says, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good…for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh” (Luke 6:45). If there’s no foolishness, hatred, bitterness, anger or pride in you, they won’t come out of your mouth. Be gracious in your communication. People should enjoy being around you and listening to you, because of your invigorating words of wisdom and grace. Hallelujah! CONFESSION My words are filled with grace, and edify my hearers, producing in them the righteousness of God. From the abundance of my heart, I speak life, salvation, health, prosperity and blessings only, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 19:14; Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord , my strength, and my redeemer. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY 5 YOU OWN THE WORLD Pastor Chris And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:29). Romans 8:16-17 lets us know that as God’s children, we’re heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ. Read our opening scripture again; it says, “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” You couldn’t read this and not shout for joy, for it means you own this world. God gave the whole world to Abraham and his seed. That seed is Christ; and if you belong to Christ, you’re Abraham’s seed and therefore an heir according to the promise. Now you can better understand why the Bible says, “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth” (Ephesians 4:28). How could you steal when the whole world belongs to you? Don’t be among those who are fighting over lands and estates; you own this world! And the proof that you do, is the Word of God. 1 Corinthians 3:21-22 says, “…For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours.” Have this consciousness. Every so often, affirm with confidence, “I own this world; all things are mine!” There’s a legal document to that effect—God’s Word. Therefore, it makes no difference if anyone challenges you or sneers at you; you still own this world. You actually dwell in the realm of superabundance. You have an inheritance, bequeathed to you by the One who said, “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine…” (Haggai 2: . “For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills” (Psalm 50:10).All the wealth in this world: the precious stones, minerals, oil and everything that men believe they own, actually belong to the Lord, with whom you’re a jointheir. Your wealth, therefore, is limitless, inestimable, and unquantifiable. Declare every day that you’re rich and blessed beyond measure. Hallelujah! CONFESSION Dear heavenly Father, what a blessing it is to be a joint-heir with Christ! The world belongs to me. I don’t lack anything, because you’re my Shepherd. My wealth is limitless, inestimable, and unquantifiable; my prosperity is of the Spirit; therefore, it’s unending. Blessed be God! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES FRIDAY 2 NOT OF THIS WORLD Pastor Chris Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances (Colossians 2:20). Some Christians don’t realize they’re in God’s Kingdom now. They live as though they’re in the world. Their actions and reactions, their thoughts, words and responses are like those of the people of the world. Instead of walking by faith, they walk by sensory perceptions; regulated in life only by that which they can physically perceive. But that’s not the life of a Christian; we live in a spiritual kingdom where faith is our lifestyle. God expects you to live above this world. Jesus said in John 15:19, “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world….” No wonder the Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, cautioned, “Why are you still living as though you’re in the world, when actually you live in Christ, in the Spirit?” Then, in Galatians 5:25, He tells us to walk in the Spirit, because we live in the Spirit. Now that you’re born again, you live in two worlds simultaneously: the physical world and the spiritual world. You’ve got to be conscious of the spiritual realm into which you’ve been born, and function in it. Live the life of heaven on earth, because you’re a citizen of heaven. Your thinking, your response to circumstances, and outlook on life must be from a heavenly perspective, the Word’s perspective. Your contemplations should be different from those of the natural man. You live in a spiritual kingdom with spiritual principles. You must have that consciousness. When you understand this, you’ll get excited when you face troubles or crises, because you’re certain they’ll turn out for your good. This is because, in our kingdom, we only know how to win and make progress from glory to glory. We dominate this physical world with the principles of our heavenly Kingdom. Hallelujah! CONFESSION Thanks be unto God who has transferred me from the domain of darkness into the Kingdom of His loveSon, in whom I live, and move, and have my being! He’s my place of rest, health, wealth, security, and peace with prosperity. I influence my world with the principles of God’s glorious Kingdom to which I belong, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody Of Realities CHRIST OUR MEDIATOR AND RECONCILER Thursday, August 1st. Pastor Chris For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). In Romans 6:14, the Bible says, “For sin shall not have dominion over you...” The problem of sin has been dealt with. In the Old Testament, the prophet Isaiah cried out, “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2). But it’s not so anymore, because of Christ’s redemptive work; He’s the mediator between God and men. The Bible says God was in Christ, reconciling the world - the world of sinners - unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. God isn’t holding sin against you, because of Jesus; our sins were laid on Him. No one today should bear the punishment for his or her sins, because Jesus already paid the full penalty for sin. He was judged for our sake (Isaiah 53:5). Following His victorious sacrifice in our behalf, He initiated and established peace between God and man; He reconciled humanity back to God. Man had become alienated from the life of God through Adam’s disobedience, but Jesus reconciled us with the Father in the body of His flesh through death. Colossians 1:21 declares, “And you, that were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.” The latter part of this scripture clearly reveals the reason for the reconciliation:” …to present you holy, blameless and above reproach in his sight.” Now, you’re qualified to live in the presence of God, without inferiority, guilt or condemnation; you’re free from all accusations, being justified by His grace. Blessed be God! This is the Gospel! The reason you’re holy, blameless, and justified before the Father isn’t because of what you did, or didn’t do; it’s the result of what Jesus did. His death, burial, and resurrection reconciled you to the Father, and brought you into oneness and fellowship with Him. Hallelujah! CONFESSION I’m the unveiling of the Father’s righteousness, called to show forth His glory and excellence. I walk and live in the light, as He is the light; the light of His Word and His righteousness. Therefore, I reign in this life, with dominion over sickness, disease, poverty, darkness, and the elements of this world. Glory to God! FURTHER STUDY: || Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. || || Romans 8:31-34 What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth. Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. || || Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. || 1 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Romans 6:1-14 & Psalms 56-59 2 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Luke 12: 22-34 & Judges 7 We trust you have been blessed by this devotional. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => http:///2hcmFLe) KEEP SATAN IN CHECK Thursday, July 25th Pastor Chris Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). It isn’t for nothing that the Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:27 not to give place to Satan, our adversary. He’s extremely vicious and desperately wicked. He operates absolutely without mercy. Therefore, you must be on the offensive against him and keep him in check. Never be casual with him; cast him out, because there’s no telling how far he’d go if you let him. The Word enjoins us to “Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27). Satan doesn’t play fair. We see his viciousness in his dealings with Job. As soon as Job broke the hedge with his negative confessions, Satan swung into action, and in one swoop, he ruined all of Job’s businesses. While Job was still bemoaning the loss of his entire wealth, the Bible says, “…there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee” (Job 1:18-19). Job lost all his children and businesses in one attack of Satan. Job was ignorant that the devil was the one on the onslaught against him; he thought it was God, and he responded, “Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” (Job 1:21). This is the same mistake a lot of Christians still make today; they’re being afflicted by Satan, and they think it’s the will of God; no, it’s not! God’s will is for you to live in His glory, walking in divine health, peace, abundance, and joy, and He sealed it by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Therefore, stop the devil from messing with your health, your joy, your prosperity, your peace, etc. All you have to do is say no to him, and walk in God’s light. The Bible says we’re not ignorant of Satan’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). Whenever he shows up, give him no place. Don’t let him take anything that’s yours. The Lord Jesus said, “…In my name shall they cast out devils…” (Mark 16:17). Be quick to cast him out and paralyze his activities in your life, your family, and environment. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the authority you’ve vested in me to keep the devil and his cohorts in check. I terminate their evil, vicious and malevolent activities in my environment, and declare that only your peace and prosperity reign in, and around me; thank you for giving me dominion over Satan and the powers of darkness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) KNOWING HIS WILL . Monday, July 22nd . Pastor Chris …that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9). If you were in a difficult situation and understood that you were right in the centre of God’s will, you’d be unperturbed, irrespective of the consequences. But those who don’t know the will of God often get ruffled by circumstances. They become worried and exasperated when they face challenges. It’s important that you know and walk in God’s perfect will at all times. You may ask, “Is it really possible to know the will of God?” Absolutely! You’re His offspring. Jesus said it’s given to you to know the will of the Father—the mysteries of the Kingdom. In other words, it’s your right to know them. Moreover, as you study the Word, the Father’s heart, His thoughts, plans and purposes are unveiled to you. His light dawns in your heart; there’s an unveiling of truth; revelation is granted you. The Spirit of God, praying through the Apostle Paul in our opening verse, expresses this as God’s desire for His children. He doesn’t want anyone of us in doubt as to what He wants. He wants us to have full, deep, and clear knowledge of His will; not confused about anything in life. A whole lot of people are in frustration, fear and anxiety, because they don’t know what to do; what steps to take. But it shouldn’t be so for you. The Bible says in Hosea 6:3, “Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD….” Be diligent to study God’s Word, and as you do, the Holy Spirit, the unveiler of mysteries, will grant you insight into the mysteries and secrets of success. He’s the Spirit of truth, and He guides us into all truth and reveals to us things to come (John 16:13). Having received the Holy Spirit, you have the capacity and the power to know the full, precise, and accurate will of the Father. He also grants you the understanding of how to apply the knowledge you’ve received. Spend more time in the Word of God. As you meditate on the Word, the Holy Spirit will bring its reality to light in your life. PRAYER Precious Lord, how grateful I am for the privilege of having the Holy Spirit live in me, helping me enjoy the blessings that are mine in Christ Jesus. I declare that I’m walking in your perfect will, because I’m forever led and guided by the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) JESUS PAID IT ALL . Sunday, July 21st . Pastor Chris Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin… (Isaiah 53:10). The Lord Jesus suffered and endured the pain and shame of the Cross, not on account of His sins or for Himself, but for us. He took our place and suffered for us. At a stage, while on the Cross carrying the burden of our sins, He cried out in anguish, “…Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34). God turned His back on Jesus because our sins were laid on Him. Habakkuk 1:13 tells us God is holy and doesn’t behold iniquity. It was in anticipation of this that Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane: “…saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt” (Matthew 26:39). The Bible specifically records that sweat came out of His body like great drops of blood. He prayed with such anguish and agony of soul. He wasn’t willing to be cut off from His Father, because He loved His Father so much, but the Father wanted Him to be the sacrifice for the sins of the world. So, Jesus died on the Cross, and descended into hell; punished by God in hell on our behalf. He didn’t just go to hell, He was put to grief, and according to our theme scripture, it was God who did it; howbeit, for our sakes. And after He had taken all the punishment that was necessary, the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ was justified in the Spirit (1 Timothy 3:16). Today, because of His vicarious suffering and sacrifice in your behalf, sin and its consequences have no dominion over you. The Bible says through Him, we’ve been justified—declared righteous! Now, you’re free to serve the Lord and live joyfully in His presence for eternity, all because of Jesus. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for sending Jesus to die in our place, thereby paying the full penalty for our sins. I rejoice, knowing that His sacrifice for sin was the ultimate sacrifice by which I now stand justified in your presence, and ushered into this new life of righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) THE WORD AND YOUR RESPONSE . Friday, July 19th . Pastor Chris …he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say… (Hebrews 13:5-6). It’s important we understand how to use the Word of God. The Word of God isn’t about preaching or how well you can quote it; it’s about living by it. It’s about your response to what God has said. That’s what we read in our theme scripture; it reveals an important principle: God spoke, and gave us His Word, for the purpose of our response. You ought to have a bold response to the Word always. Now, this doesn’t mean “reciting” the same thing that God has said; and that’s where many have missed it. For example, He didn’t say, “I will never leave you nor forsake you,” so that you may repeat the same thing, saying, “He will never leave me nor forsake me.” You have to give a response. He said what He said, so that you can respond on the basis of what He has said. So, the question is, what’s your response to God? The powerful thing about the Word of God is your response. If you don’t respond, the Word will do you no good. You have to say something that’s consistent with what God has said. For example, He has said, “I’m with you always”; what’s your response to that? It should be, “Yes, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want or lack anything. I prosper everywhere and in all things, because the Lord is with me; and more so, He lives in me! This is my assurance of a victorious, ever-prosperous and glorious life. Hallelujah!” Don’t say, “O Lord, you said you’re with me; therefore, supply my needs. You said you’re with me, why am I going through this predicament?” The one who talks that way is using the wrong codes; he’s not responding but complaining; and complainers get nothing. Don’t complain about your situation; respond with the Word. That’s Christianity. That’s the life of faith: the response of the human spirit to God’s Word. When you hear the Word of God, give it a response. Your confession of the Word is your response to the Word, and that’s what will change your life and circumstances. Praise God forever! CONFESSION I’m living the life of continuous victory. I refuse to be discouraged or subject to the crippling principles of the world, for I live far and above them. The Lord has brought me into a large place, a place of wealth in abundance. I’m a success; I win today and every day, because the greater One lives in me. Blessed be God! FURTHER STUDY: || James 1:22-25 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. || || Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. || || 2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; || DAILY SCRIPTURE READING 1-Year Bible Reading Plan=> Acts 26:2-18 & Psalms 17-18 2-Year Bible Reading Plan=> Luke 9:37-48 & Joshua 15 Act Now!!! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) THREE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS . Thursday, July 18th . Pastor Chris Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). People ask three important questions. Sometimes, they ask audibly or in their hearts. The first of these questions is about eternal life; we see this in Luke 18:18, where a certain ruler asked Jesus, “…Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” The ruler obviously knew something about eternal life; he was a Jew, and he heard Jesus preach about it and wanted to know more about it. The second question is found in John 18:38. Jesus, at this time, had been arrested and brought before Pilate, upon being charged with blasphemy. The Bible says, “Pilate saith unto him, What is truth?...” What a question! Pilate asked Jesus that question because of what Jesus said to him in the preceding verse. Let’s read: “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a King then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a King. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice” (John 18:37). The third important question is found in John 14:5, and it was asked by one of His disciples, Thomas. He said, “…Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?” It’s like what many say today: “There’re so many ways to God; how do we know which one is right? There’re so many churches, how can we know the true ones?” The Lord Jesus answered all of these three questions in John 14:6. He said, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Notice the definite article, “THE”; He didn’t say, “I’m a way, a truth, and a life.” He used the definite article, meaning this is it! There’s no other. He took away every opportunity for options. He could have said, “I’m one of the ways,” but He didn’t say that. He said, “I AM the way. I AM the truth. I AM the life.” Glory to His Name forever! If you understand this, it’ll change your whole world; your life will be completely altered. The boldness you’d exude and the results of your life will be outstanding and astounding. Hallelujah! PRAYER Blessed Jesus, you’re the Way, the Truth and the Life; besides you, there’s no other. How glorious it is to know that I’m complete in you, lacking nothing and in need of nothing. You’re my everything; and to you alone be all glory, honour and praise forevermore. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL ❤YOU NEED HIM TO FUNCTION❤ Friday, July 12th Pastor Chris I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5). It’s important to understand that nothing works without God. It doesn’t matter what your job is today, it’ll end in failure if God isn’t at work in you. Man is a total failure without God. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit, and worked with the Holy Spirit; and He ensured we have Him living in us today. No one can live the Christian life or do God’s work without the Holy Spirit, for it’s written, “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6). An extraordinary life, a glorious future, starts with you acknowledging the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life. Jesus called Him “The Father that dwelleth in me” (John 14:10). The same Holy Spirit gave birth to us; He’s our Father—the Father that lives in us! Your consciousness of His indwelling presence will help you realize that indeed, all things are possible. Things that aren’t possible with men are possible with Him. He’ll make you an absolute success and a victor forever. Think about the fact that not even Jesus could do without the Holy Spirit. He needed the Holy Spirit to function. All the great works He did were by the Holy Spirit. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit, it then means you can do nothing without the Spirit. No wonder, God wants us to be filled with the Spirit always. Ephesians 5:18-21 reveals how to get yourself constantly filled with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God at work in us, building His Church through us. Recognize Him as your helper, and His ability will become your ability; His strength will become your strength. With Him, you can never fail or lose. He’s your guarantee of a life of absolute success, victory and dominion. PRAYER Precious Holy Spirit, I acknowledge your ministry in my life. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) THE RIGHT TIME TO PRAY AND FAST . Saturday, July 6th . Pastor Chris Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? (Matthew 9:14). In admonishing His disciples on fasting, the Lord Jesus cautioned, “Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward” (Matthew 6:16). The Lord’s remark was both thought-provoking and enlightening. In the preceding verse 15, He had said, “…Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.” Here, He was referring to Himself returning to the Father in heaven. Moreover ever since His ascension, the Church has fasted—the disciples and apostles of the early Church fasted. Prayer and fasting have been part of our spiritual activity as Christians. We fast when necessary. “When is it necessary to fast?” someone might ask. First, when your local church or congregation proclaims a prayer and fasting programme, that’s a time to fast. Never isolate yourself from such a call, because it’s part of our corporate fellowship. There’re things we do corporately, such as corporate worship, and many other things that are intended for spiritual growth and edification; prayer and fasting are among them. Secondly, when you choose to fast and pray, or the Holy Spirit leads you to do so, don’t ignore it. That’s another great opportunity, especially if it’s the Spirit guiding you; and you’ll know when He’s the One leading you to fast. Some people schedule prayer and fasting as a means for their own spiritual exercise, and that’s excellent. So, in whichever way and at whatever time you’re guided to fast, take it seriously. Make fasting and praying a part of your personal spiritual routine. If, in your local assembly, the announcement is made for a praying and fasting session, don’t unilaterally decide you’re not going to be a part of it. Don’t, on your own, choose when you’ll break your fast. That’ll be wrong. Be disciplined to always get involved, being aware that the benefits are essential to your spiritual growth (1 Timothy 4: . Remember that through fasting and praying, your effectiveness in the things of the Spirit are improved. Your ability to hear and receive from God is sharpened, and you’re more attuned to the finer signals and instruction of the Spirit that you need for a higher level of life; a life of continuous glory and success! CONFESSION I’m sensitive to the leading of the Spirit, and His guidance in my life for my spiritual growth and development. My acts of service in the house of God will inspire commitment, growth and development of younger Christians, such that there will be no cause for stumbling for them, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) GET A “WORD-BATH” . Friday, July 5th . Pastor Chris Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you (John 15:3). Imagine a Christian waking up in the morning and turning on the TV to discover that the programme airing happens to be “Pastor Chris Teaching.” He gives it full attention till the end and then the next programme comes up, this time, it’s an unwholesome one for a Christian. Even so, he continues to watch. When he’s done watching this, and several others after it (all with unwholesome contents), he’s too tired to pray or study the Word. He feels condemned, and even begins to feel too “dirty” to go to church, thinking he’d need to “clean up” first. He could start praying, “Oh God, please revive me.” For this Christian, it’s now very necessary to go to Church! His unedifying action could slow down his progress spiritually if it continues, but he needs an urgent Word-bath! No one is ever “too dirty” for God. In our opening verse, Jesus said, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you” (John 15:3). It’s the ministry of the Word to cleanse you of sin, guilt, and all unrighteousness. So, don’t stay at home when you ought to be in Church because you thought you did something wrong that made you “too dirty” for God. Go to Church! He’ll clean you up! He does it through the Word. Jesus didn’t come for perfect men. Rather, He came to make men perfect. He specializes in changing imperfect people and bringing them to perfection. He raised an “unstable” person like Peter, and transformed an injurious personality like Paul, who both became mighty apostles of the Gospel. If He’d do that, then He can cleanse and train you to become the best of you for His glory. Submit yourself to the cleansing power of God’s Word. Study and meditate on the Scriptures. You might say, “But I don’t know where to begin to even read the Bible.” This devotional gives you a head start. Keep studying it, including all the indicated scriptural references. In addition, meticulously follow either the one-year or two-year daily Bible-reading plan. Before long, you’ll see remarkable transformation in your life, and those around you will also attest to the grace and glory of God evident in your life. Praise God! CONFESSION Sin has no dominion over me. I walk in perfection and excellence, producing works and fruits of righteousness. The Word of God has the mastery over my mind, and I have the victory over sin and its attendant consequences. I live triumphantly, walking in righteousness and in the wisdom of Christ. Blessed be God! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) WE’RE ONE WITH CHRIST . Thursday, July 4th . Pastor Chris And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks (Acts 9:3-5). The scripture passage above is a clear reference to the inextricable oneness of Christ and the Church. Before his conversion, Saul wreaked havoc in the early Church and persecuted Christians everywhere, until he had an encounter with the Lord, who intercepted him and asked, “...Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” Jesus intimately identifies Himself with the Church. Read again, His words to the injurious Saul of Tarsus in our opening Scripture. The Master didn’t say, “Saul, why persecutest thou my followers?” Rather, He took it personal, because we’re of the same stock with Him. An attack on the Church is an attack on Jesus, because He’s the Vine, and we (the Church) are the branches. We have His very life; He brought us into union with Himself. Always remember that anything you do for, or against the Church is unto Christ. Persecuting the Church is persecuting Jesus, because He’s the head of the Church: “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:18). The head and the body go by the same Name—Christ! Thus, we’re members of the body of Christ. Being born again, you’ve been baptized into the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:27 says, “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” As a member of the body of Christ, you don’t answer a name that’s different from that of the head or of the body, which is Christ. This is to help you see who you are, where you are, and what you have; you’re one with Christ. When He was raised from the dead, you were raised up together with Him. Now that He’s seated on the throne, you’re seated together with Him in the place of dominion, glory and authority. Therefore, rule the world and dominate your environment with the glory of Christ! CONFESSION I’m seated together with Christ in the place of dominion, glory and authority, reigning and ruling over circumstances and situations, dominating my world by the power of the Holy Ghost! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => http:///2hcmFLe) Wednesday, July 3 Pastor Chris CHILDREN OF THE WORD Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men (2 Corinthians 3:2). Every Christian is born of the Word; meaning, we’re children of the Word. The Bible says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23). So, you’re the Word in flesh! This is what the Apostle Paul meant by us being “living epistles.” In 2 Corinthians 3:3, he said, “Clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart” (NKJV). Today, anyone who wants to see the Word of God should look at you, for you’re the epistle of Christ! This is what the Church is—the Word in flesh! The Lord Jesus was the Word of God tabernacled in human flesh. He was the epistle of God. He was the love-letter sent to the world by God. The Bible says in John 1:14 that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The same Word that became flesh gave birth to us: “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” (James 1:18). We’re the offspring of the Word. We were born in the realm of the spirit to be like Jesus through the Word. Glory to God! Your life is the life of the Word. You’re not an ordinary person. You may look like everyone else, but you’re different. You’re God’s message—His Word! Therefore, never look down on yourself. You’re not born of the corruptible seed of man, but of God’s incorruptible seed. This is the reason the life in you is the God-life; it’s the life of the Word. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God…,” meaning you’re born of God; you hail from Him; and God and His Word are one. Hallelujah! CONFESSION My life is for the glory of God. I’m not an ordinary person, for I’m a living epistle, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, known and read of all men. Through me, many are coming to the knowledge of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY 2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. YOUR SPEECH CONTROLS YOUR LIFE . Tuesday, July 2nd . Pastor Chris For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2). Christian perfection or maturity is expressed chiefly in your mouth—your communication. If you want to go in the right direction in life, your tongue is the compass. If you offend in words, that is, if your communication is unwholesome, your life will be in jeopardy. Your speech controls you. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue….” Jesus said, “…out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” (Matthew 12:34). So, through your thoughts, your character is formed, but it’s expressed in your talk, in your words. Meaning, your thinking is your character; but your “talking” is your life. That’s how important your words are. Romans 10:10 says, “…with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” It’s a principle. God said to Joshua, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…” (Joshua 1: . Meditate on the Word of God; keep it in your mouth. That means keep affirming the Word. No matter what’s happening around you, speak the Word. The Bible says, “When men are cast down, THEN THOU SHALT SAY, There is lifting up…” (Job 22:29). Again, the emphasis is on what you say. When things are rough and tough, you’re not to wait to be lifted; you have a lifting power; it’s in your mouth. With your mouth, you catapult yourself from obscurity to greatness! You lift yourself from the thraldom of inflation, austerity and lack to abundance. It’s about what you say! Declare that you’re supremely blessed, prosperous and walking in financial abundance, and your life will gravitate in that direction. What is it that you want? It’s all in your mouth. Say it, and you’ll have it! That’s what Jesus said in Mark 11:23: “For verily I say unto you…whosoever shall say…and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Blessed be God! CONFESSION My speech is modelled in line with God’s thoughts and direction for my life. I declare that prosperity, victory, success, growth and financial abundance are the hallmarks of my life. Amen! FURTHER STUDY: || Proverbs 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. || || Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. || || James 3:3-6 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 4 Behold also the ships, which though [they be] so great, and [are] driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue [is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. || DAILY SCRIPTURE READING 1-Year Bible Reading Plan=> Acts 15:36-16:1-15 & Esther 8-10 2-Year Bible Reading Plan=> Luke 6:12-19 & Deuteronomy 30 Act Now!!! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) CHRIST OUR “REDEMPTION” . Monday, July 1st . Pastor Chris In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace (Ephesians 1:7). The word, “redemption” in the verse above is translated from the Greek, “apolutrosis,” which means deliverance, redemption, and more importantly, riddance. While these are synonyms of “apolutrosis,” it’s important to understand riddance in the context. The Bible says, “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me” (Psalm 50:15). That’s God assuring His people of deliverance. But now, He has become your riddance, meaning that it doesn’t matter what trouble you get into; He plucks you out; He’ll rid you of that trouble. Proverbs 12:13 says, “...But the righteous shall come out of trouble” (ASV). That means the righteous may or could get into trouble, but there’s a guarantee of deliverance: Christ! Christ is his deliverance! The mess you’re in could have been self-inflicted or a result of misjudgements; Christ is your assurance that you’re coming out of the trouble, because He’s your riddance. Glory to God! Christ being your redemption (riddance) means He makes up for your errors. Every mistake, every sin, has been laid to His charge. He’s obligated to save you. He’ll help you out of any quagmire, not because you earned it by your works or efforts, but because you have a ransom in Christ Jesus. He plucks your feet out of the miry clay (Psalm 40:2). Hallelujah! So, when you make a mistake or get into trouble, be bold to call on Him. He’s not intimidated by your troubles. No wonder the Psalmist said, “But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble” (Psalm 59:16). He’s your deliverance and your Deliverer; your Rescuer; the One who plucks you out of trouble. Glory to His Name forevermore! CONFESSION I have my riddance in Christ. It doesn’t matter what troubles come my way; it doesn’t matter what adversities I face; they’re of no effect, because Christ is my riddance. He plucks my feet out of the miry clay. Praise God! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JULY PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) HE SPEAKS TO YOU IN “SPIRIT LANGUAGE” . Sunday, June 30th . Pastor Chris My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27). Oftentimes, when we say God spoke to us, there’re those who wonder, “What language does He speak?” They want to know how they too can hear God. God is a Spirit, and He speaks to your spirit. What you have to learn is to listen to Him with your heart—your spirit. Being born again, and having received the Holy Spirit, you’re one with the Lord. He’s come to dwell within you and has mingled with your spirit. The Bible says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). Thus, His voice in your spirit will be unmistakable. All you have to do is listen from within. He knows every language. He can talk to you in any language. The most important thing about God speaking to you isn’t the language He spoke; it’s whether your spirit received the words. He speaks to you in “spirit language,” because He talks to your spirit. Your mind is what relates with language. Language is created with sound for your intellect. But God isn’t a mind, neither does He appeal to your mind. He doesn’t need your reasoning faculties to communicate with you. As a result, He doesn’t need to put His message in a language for your intellect. When He speaks to you in any human language, if you don’t receive the message from your spirit, it may have no impact or meaning. It has to get to your spirit. If you only got the words in your mind, you may even forget what He said, but your spirit can remember. Moreover, when God speaks to you, your spirit will at once light up and bear witness that He’s the One talking to you. It’s like what Jesus said in our opening verse, “My sheep hear my voice….” Train your spirit to be a sure-guide and a dependable receptacle of God’s words and signals. Activate your spirit by speaking in tongues frequently. Also, it’s very important that you learn the Word of God, because He never says anything outside His Word. Praise God! PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the ability to hear and recognise your voice. As you speak to me from the Word and counsel me from within, I respond to your guidance, promptings, and instructions, and receive the corresponding blessings, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JUNE PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) BORN INTO THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT . Thursday, June 27th . Pastor Chris But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9). Jesus said, “...Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). The Kingdom of God is the kingdom of light; it’s the kingdom of life. And until a man is born again, he’s not a part of the life or light of the Kingdom; he abides in darkness. This is the reason Jesus said in John 3:7, “…Ye must be born again.” The one who isn’t born again is in Satan’s domain, and can’t see God’s Kingdom. He can’t even understand it, for He’s not in fellowship with God. It doesn’t matter that two people are identical twins; if one is born again and the other isn’t, one is in the kingdom of light, and the other one is in the kingdom of darkness. For anyone to come into the light of God, have His life and nature, and become one with Him, he must be born again. Being born again, Colossians 1:13 says God has “...delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” From the time that Adam sinned against God in the Garden of Eden, darkness came into this world, and man became alienated from the life of God; completely cut off from the light of God. But the moment you proclaimed Jesus Christ as Lord of your life, you received eternal life and woke up in the kingdom of light, in oneness with God! Our theme verse shows your present location: God’s marvellous light. Now you walk in the light, as He is in the light. His light has become your light, just as the psalmist prophesied: “For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light” (Psalm 36:9). Hallelujah! Being born into God’s Kingdom means you’ve been brought out of sin, sickness, disease, depression, poverty, frustrations and everything associated with Satan and darkness, into God’s eternal glory—where you reign in life by grace, through righteousness. No darkness at all. Glory to God! CONFESSION I’m a new creation in Christ Jesus, born with the nature of God in my spirit. I’ve been born into the Kingdom of light; therefore, I shine and reign gloriously in life, by grace, through righteousness. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JUNE PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) WE WALK IN BLESSINGS ONLY . Wednesday, June 26th . Pastor Chris Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought (Numbers 23:23). There’re Christians who have come to the conclusion that their predicament is the result of a curse working against them. They’re thus going around seeking deliverance from so-called ancestral or other curses. Such Christians, consciously or inadvertently, have been deceived. The Christian is superior to Satan and everything of darkness, and therefore can’t be under a curse. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…” (2 Corinthians 5:17). You’ve been born anew, called to inherit a blessing, not a curse: “…ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing” (1 Peter 3:9). Read God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Blessings are at work in you, because you’re the seed of Abraham. No one can bewitch you or cast a spell on you. If you were told that someone was trying to charm you, you don’t even have to pray for it not to work. You can neither be charmed nor cursed. There’s no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel. This is your heritage as the seed of Abraham. Did you say there’s someone somewhere scheming against you, your family, or your job? Don’t panic. Don’t fret. Their schemes against you can’t work. They should take a cue or learning from Balaam of the Old Testament. After several futile attempts to enchant and curse Israel, he submitted, “No magic spells can bind Jacob, no incantations can hold back Israel…” (Numbers 23:23 MSG). RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JUNE PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) WE ALWAYS WIN . Tuesday, June 25th . Pastor Chris And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour… (Acts 7:9-10). As God’s children, we’re never disadvantaged. Everything in life, every situation we find ourselves, can only work to our advantage. Consider the story of Joseph. Everywhere he went, he prospered. He was described as a prosperous man, despite being a slave in Potiphar’s house. What made the difference in his life was God’s presence. Genesis 39:2 says, “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man….” God’s presence, Christ in you, is your advantage; that’s your assurance for victory. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” The reason we win, and would always win, is Christ in us; the greater One in us. Hallelujah! I mean, think about it: Joseph was eventually unjustly sent to prison, due to false accusations from Potiphar’s wife. Yet, in prison, the Bible says, “…the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison” (Genesis 39:21). The Bible doesn’t say you might not get into trouble; but the Lord’s assurance is that in the midst of the trouble, you’ll prevail. He’ll rid you of that trouble, because He’s with you, and in you. Nothing compares to Christ in us! That’s our confidence and assurance for a triumphant and prosperous life. Christ in you means you can never be disadvantaged, irrespective of the situation or circumstance that you may find yourself. Right in that seeming dungeon, He’d cause you to triumph. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 2:14, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ….” This is your life. This is your story: one of endless victories and persistent progress and productivity in Christ Jesus. It makes no difference the challenges you might be facing at home, in your workplace, etc.; be comforted! Christ in you will put you over and turn things around in your favour. Therefore, rejoice, because come what may, you’ll always win. CONFESSION I’m surrounded with God’s favour as a shield, and positioned by His grace for a life of peace and total prosperity! I win every day, because I live by the faith of Jesus Christ. His divine power has given me everything I require for life and godliness, and I know it. Therefore, I rejoice in my victories, prosperity, and blessed life in Christ. Hallelujah! FURTHER STUDY: || Genesis 39:21-23 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that [were] in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer [of it]. 23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing [that was] under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and [that] which he did, the LORD made [it] to prosper. || || 2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks [be] unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. || || Romans 8:35-37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Rhapsody Of Realities IT’S NOT ENOUGH TO BE “GOD-FEARING” Monday, June 24th. Pastor Chris Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again (John 3:7). Sometimes, there’re those who are described by others as “godly” or “god-fearing,” even though they’re not born again. But being godly or god-fearing isn’t the same as being born again. In Acts 10, we find a most interesting case of conversion, the conversion of Cornelius, a very “godly” man. In fact, the Bible says he was a “devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always” (Acts 10:2). What an amazing description! He was benevolent, liberal and “god-fearing”; consistent and persistent in his prayer life. He was a just man (Acts 10:22). And he even saw visions: “He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him…” (Acts 10:3). Yet, he wasn’t saved; he wasn’t born again. An angel had to tell him, “And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter…he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do” (Acts 10:5-6). In our opening verse, Jesus didn’t mince words when He spoke to Nicodemus. He said, “Ye must be born again.” He didn’t say if you’re “god-fearing,” it’s okay. He used the term, “born again” to express the necessity for man’s spiritual rebirth. Sometimes we encounter such people as Cornelius. They have a good reputation and moral character; but being well-spoken of by others doesn’t merit God’s salvation. This is why we preach the Gospel. The Gospel is about Jesus Christ; it’s not about what you have done, or what you haven’t done. It’s about Christ and what He’s done for you, which if you’d accept was enough, then salvation is yours. The Bible says, “And by him (Jesus) all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses” (Acts 13:39). In case you’re like Cornelius today reading this, you need to receive words by which you can be saved. Those words are in Romans 10:9. It says, “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” This is the Bible way to receive salvation. PRAYER Dear heavenly Father, I’m forever grateful for the salvation of my soul, having confessed with my mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believed in my heart that you raised Him from the dead. And today, I pray for the unsaved around the world, that the light of this glorious Gospel will shine in their hearts, for salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JUNE PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) WISDOM IS A GUIDING FORCE . Saturday, June 22nd . Pastor Chris Yet wisdom is vindicated (shown to be true and divine) by all her children [by their life, character, and deeds](Luke 7:35 AMPC). True wisdom is the manifestation or revelation of the rightness of God in your spirit; it’s a guiding force that causes you to act, respond or speak beyond natural human reasoning. It’s also the expression of the power of God in thoughts, plans, purpose and decision-making. When the wisdom of God functions in you, it becomes the power that influences your choices in life. That’s why it’s a guiding force. Wisdom propels you in the right direction in life, and positions you in the place of advantage. For example, Genesis 39 tells the story of Joseph, who was sold into slavery in Egypt by his brothers. Nevertheless, the Bible says he found grace in the sight of Potiphar, his master, and served him: “…and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand” (Genesis 39:4). In the course of time, Joseph was imprisoned because his master’s wife accused him falsely. But wisdom promoted Joseph, and gave him the advantage, such that even while in prison, he became the head of the prisoners. Joseph’s story is a very inspiring one. Notice Pharaoh’s remarks to his servants as a result of the wisdom he saw and heard in Joseph: “...Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou…See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt” (Genesis 41:38-41). The Egyptian Empire was preserved by the wisdom of God revealed in the thirty-year-old Hebrew prisoner, Joseph. Wisdom promoted him from being a prisoner to become Prime Minister of the most powerful empire overnight. No wonder we’re admonished in the Word to celebrate and exalt wisdom (Proverbs 4: . When you do, wisdom will promote you and propel you in the path of honour and greatness.CONFESSION I speak wisdom, I walk in wisdom, and I manifest wisdom, because Christ has been made unto me wisdom. I have great amplitude of comprehension, and deal wisely in all my affairs. I’m guided and propelled by wisdom to think, talk and act right always, in sync with God’s perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody Of Realities SEE WITH GOD’S LIGHT Friday, June 21st 2019 Pastor Chris Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105) God’s Word is the true Light that lights every man that comes into the world (John 1:9); it’s the compass with which you navigate your way successfully through life. Life is filled with chances and choices; and in making decisions you need proper guidance, which only God’s Word can provide. The Bible says, “That which makes manifest is light” (Ephesians 5:13); meaning that light illuminates. Hebrews 4:12-13, apart from highlighting the power and efficacy of God’s Word, also reveals its functionality as light. Part of it says, “…Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” The Word of God sees and knows everything; it touches every subject in life and discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. When you study the Word, you receive much more than inspiration; you receive divine light, insight, and wisdom to deal excellently in life. No one can know what’s true or real except through the light of God’s Word, for the Word is truth (John 17:17), and truth means reality. If, today, there seems to be darkness in any area of your life, perhaps in your family, health, academics or business, use the true light, God’s Word. The solution to darkness is light. If the true Light (God’s Word) dwells in you richly, as admonished in Colossians 3:16, fear, failure, lack, sickness and all other results of darkness won’t have any place in you. See with God’s light. See from the perspective of His Word. Interpret situations, circumstances and the conditions of your life from the standpoint of the Word. His light shows that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. His light shows that you’re prosperous and have been brought into a wealthy place. His light shows that divine health is your present-hour possession and right in Christ. CONFESSION I know, and walk in my inheritance in Christ Jesus because I live and see from God’s perspective. His Word is my light, and that’s the light in which I live. I’m walking in the path of God’s destiny for my life, because I walk in the light, as He is in the light. Hallelujah! FURTHER STUDY: John 8:12; Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Proverbs 6:23; For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. HE SAVES THROUGH WORDS . Thursday, June 20th . Pastor Chris …Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; WHO SHALL TELL THEE WORDS, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved (Acts 11:13-14). In Acts 11, we read the very insightful account of the conversion of Cornelius and his household. Cornelius was a Roman centurion who was devout and prayerful. He was God-fearing and regularly gave alms to the poor, yet he wasn’t saved. But on a certain day, an angel appeared to him, instructing him to send for Peter who shall tell him words, whereby he and all his house shall be saved. God saw the man’s “goodness” and moral uprightness, yet those weren’t enough to save him. The angel specifically said to him, “…Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God” (Acts 10:4). Yet, the man still needed to send for the Apostle Peter, who would lead him and his household to utter the words of salvation. This shows that God saves through words! But what words? Romans 10:9 corroborates this principle. It says, “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” The word, “confess” is from the Greek “homologia,” and it means, “speaking the same thing in consent”; in other words, you have to speak words that are in agreement with what God has said, in order for you to be saved. That’s true confession, and principle for salvation. Salvation is all-encompassing. It refers to deliverance from sin and it’s consequences, preservation, divine healing and health, protection, prosperity and all the good things that the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ obtained for you. To be saved, therefore, means to be severed and totally disconnected from all negative influences and circumstances of life; and there’s more. The confession of His Lordship. When you say, “Jesus is Lord over my life,” besides the fact that you’re immediately transferred from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of God’s love-Son, you’re also affirming that He’s the Shepherd and Lord over your life, business, finances; therefore, you’ll never lack or be poor! He’s Lord over your body; therefore, you’ll never be sick or diseased! You’re also declaring that He’s your refuge and your fortress, and for that reason, you dwell in safety. Blessed be God! PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for your blessed Word that’s fulfilled in my life. I make progress from glory to glory, in the direction of your perfect will for my life, because I live in your Word, and speak faith-filled words. I dwell in health, safety, and peace forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JUNE PDF => http:///2FDyOoj) IT’S HAPPENING REAL-TIME Wednesday, June 19th. Pastor Chris For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Notice that the verse we just read doesn’t say, “For it is God who used to work in you….” Rather, it says, “For it is God which worketh in you….” The word, “worketh” is old English for “works”; it’s not in the past or future tense. It’s a present progressive tense. God is at work in you, NOW! It’s happening in real time. He’s effectively at work in you, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfil His perfect will for His good pleasure. Aren’t you glad about that! This means there’s no margin or possibility for failure or weakness, because the Almighty God Himself is the one propelling, inspiring, enabling and driving you to do His will! There’re those who are concerned and even scared about tomorrow; not being sure if they’d still be pleasing God, and walking in His light. No! Not when you’re conscious that He’s the One at work in you. Yes, by your own strength you won’t make it; you might falter and fall. The Bible says “He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength (natural human ability) shall no man prevail” (1 Samuel 2:9). He thus gave us the Holy Spirit, to live in us and help us live the God-life to the full. Walking in righteousness, participating in godly and productive activities, attending church meetings, preaching the Gospel, loving others, etc., are results of His effectual, real-time work in you! All that time you had the thought to do something that’s good for God, and good for people, it wasn’t your mind or your flesh; it was God working in you. Even now, He’s the One at work in you as you study this devotional.Through the teachings, prayers, further study, and the different daily Bible readings, He’s bringing you information and enlightenment. The intensity of His glory is increasing in your life, as you bask in untold blessings of His Word. He’s making necessary adjustments, transformations and changes in your life, to keep you a champion and a victor forever. And He’s doing this in real time! Hallelujah! SPEND TIME IN THE WORD Tuesday, June 18th 2019 Pastor Chris Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord (Colossians 3:16). For the Christian, spending quality time to study and meditate on the Word, isn’t an option. God’s Word contains the wisdom and ideas you require for greater success and increased productivity in life. That’s where you receive insight into the realities of life, and mysteries of the Kingdom. For example, God told Moses and the children of Israel to walk through the Red Sea on dry ground, and they did. We read about that in the Word and see the wisdom and power of God. There was a secret, a mystery about water that man didn’t know, but God knew. In studying the Word, such secrets are unveiled; we see the possibilities of God and our vast and limitless potentials in Him. As you study the Scriptures and see the miracles of God, they’re indications that the power to make such things happen resides within us today. He gave us the Holy Spirit, not only to show us these mysteries of the Kingdom, and secrets to the miraculous, but also so we could work miracles through Him. But the key is knowing Him; consistent study of the Word of God, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. You must spend time with the Word.Ephesians 1:17 says, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.” Why is it the knowledge of God? It’s because everything in life is in Him. He’s the full embodiment of all knowledge and wisdom. The more you know Him, the more you know about life. The way to know Him is revealed in Ephesians 1:18: “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know….” When your heart is flooded with light, meaning an abundance of the Word of God in your spirit, then the seventeenth verse becomes a reality. You start functioning with such extraordinary amplitude of mind and comprehension. PRAYER Dear heavenly Father, I thank you, for the eyes of my understanding have been enlightened by your Word. Therefore, I have insight into mysteries and secrets; nothing that I can’t know. Christ is my wisdom, and the Word of God informs me daily, as I give it attention, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Joshua 1:8; This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JUNE PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) WISDOM AND FULL DISCERNMENT . Monday, June 17th . Pastor Chris That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him (Ephesians 1:17). “Revelation” in the foregoing verse is the Greek word, “apokalupsis,” which means an unveiling. “Knowledge”;on the other hand, is the Greek word, “epignosis,” which means a full discernment, an accurate knowledge of God. The Amplified Classic Translation makes it a lot clearer. It says, “[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him” (Ephesians 1:17). There are mysteries and secrets about life, and the anointing and wisdom of God are in you to guide and give you insight into these mysteries and secrets of God. Psalm 25:14 says, “The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him….” Life for us isn’t a mystery anymore, because the Holy Spirit is in us, and part of His ministry in us is the unveiling of truth. He grants us spiritual understanding. We know why things are the way they are, and we always know what to do through the Spirit (John 16:13). For example, earlier in His ministry, the Lord Jesus met Peter cleaning and mending his net after a fruitless fishing expedition. He requested to use Peter’s boat to preach, and when He was through, He asked Peter to launch into the water for a great haul of fish. Peter recalled how he and his colleagues had toiled all night to no avail. But at the word of the Master, he let down his net, and sure enough, it was the catch of his lifetime (Luke 5:1- . Jesus knew where the fishes were. That’s spiritual insight and understanding. He’s the creator of all things. He knows the mysteries and secrets of life. He knows where the businesses are. He knows where the money is. He knows what ideas to give to you to take your ministry and work to the next level. Trust Him with your life. Make knowing Him more, and keeping His Word, your greatest passion. Through that fellowship, He’ll keep unveiling Himself and the greater mysteries of the Kingdom to you. This is God’s desire for you: that you function with the Spirit of wisdom, expressed in full discernment and accurate knowledge of Him. CONFESSION I’ll never stumble or walk in confusion, because God’s Word is a lamp that directs my life, and a light that lightens my path. YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME . Sunday, June 16th . Pastor Chris And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you (Joel 2:25). As a Christian, when you give yourself to the study of the Word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, evident changes begin to manifest in your life. These changes should immediately reflect in your lifestyle, especially your speech, your communication. True Christian maturity is the ability to speak correctly or wholesomely, inline with the Word, irrespective of the situation. For example, if you needed to get somewhere or complete a project and the time limit you’re given is closing in, don’t panic or get into a frenzy. Don’t start lamenting and complaining that you don’t have time. Don’t cut your time short with your words. Keep your composure. The God who lives in you is the owner of time. Read our opening verse again and observe what the Lord said. He’s a restorer of time. He restores wasted years, which means He can restore wasted months, wasted weeks, wasted days, wasted hours, wasted minutes, wasted seconds, and wasted moments. Hallelujah! So, don’t panic because of time. When you panic, you take actions in fear, and fear is of the devil. As long as you’re panicking, you can’t have a miracle. So, refuse to panic for “lack of time.” 1 Kings 18:46 explains how Elijah was transported by the Spirit of God to outrun horses. Philip was transported by the Spirit of God to another city, faster than any supersonic jet of our day (Acts 8:39-40). Always remember that you’re not an ordinary person. You live a miracle life; whatever amount of time there is, is what you need! And because you live a miracle life—the supernatural life—if the task or project you’re on requires an hour, you can do it in a shorter time. Have this consciousness. Every so often, say to yourself, “I have enough time in life to be all that God has destined me to be, and to do all He’s called me to do and finish my course.” Hallelujah! PRAYER My heart is flooded with the light of God’s Word, and I speak words that are consistent with the provisions of the Gospel of Christ. I refuse to panic or be anxious because of time, for I dwell in eternity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. WHEN JESUS IS IN YOUR BOAT⛵. Saturday, June 15th . Pastor Chris But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17). On a particular occasion, the disciples of Jesus were ferrying in a boat. Certainly, they had been on several boat rides, but this one was different and more remarkable, because the Master was in the boat with them. However, not long afterwards, the disciples noticed that water was coming into the boat. The wind became fierce and ferocious, with the tides getting higher. Though terrified, the disciples couldn’t accept the possibility of the boat capsizing with Jesus in it, and they and the Master drowning in the sea. Thus, they went to Him only to find Him sleeping in the rear of the same endangered boat. The Bible says, “And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:38-39). When Jesus is in your boat, there’s joy, peace, and prosperity. His presence in the boat with the disciples made the difference. Even though He chided them for their lack of faith, they needed power over the imminent crisis and He was right there to provide it. The question today is, “Who is in your boat?” It had better be Jesus; otherwise, you’re sunk. And something better for us today is that, much more than having Him “in the boat” with you, He’s in you by the Holy Ghost. In Him, you’ll sail through life’s troubles triumphantly. In Him, you have power over every turbulence, crisis, and adversity. Irrespective of the tests, trials and persecution, you’ll always win. No matter how dire the situation is, He’ll turn those seemingly tough times into your best times. The Bible says, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…” (2 Corinthians 4:17). It makes no difference what the challenges are; because He lives in you, you’ll always win. Christ in you is your assurance of victory against life’s stresses and troubles. He’s in “your boat”; therefore, refuse to fear. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for my oneness with you. Your ever-abiding presence in and with me makes me indestructible. I’m more than a conqueror through Christ that loved me, and I can do all things in your Name, and by your ability at work in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES FRIDAY 14 DON’T HOPE FOR LUCK Pastor Chris Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field (Deuteronomy 28:3) Some people go through life groping in the dark, hoping that someday, they might just be lucky and things will work out for them. You’d hear them make statements like, “Maybe, if I’m lucky, I’ll get the contract”; “maybe if I’m lucky, I’ll get the appointment I’ve been desiring.” They’re hoping for luck in their finances, in their businesses, and even in their relationships. Such people haven’t been exposed to the light of God’s Word. Don’t hope for luck. Don’t hope that God might just do something, no! You’re already a blessed person. Do you know what that means? It means nothing is too good for you or beyond your reach. Being born again, you don’t function by luck; you walk in the Word. The Word of God is your light: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). The light of God in your spirit will direct you to be at the right place at the right time, walking in paths preordained by God. The light of God in you causes you to walk in divine favour. God’s got everything fixed in your behalf. He has the right people to help you, at the right time, and in the right place. The Bible says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). With this understanding, say to yourself: “God has the right people to help me, at the right time, and in the right place; He’ll guide me to them, or He’ll guide them to me. One way or another, we’ll meet.” Hallelujah! Remember, He’s already blessed you with everything you require for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). He’s already blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Live as a blessed man or woman. Be blessing-conscious; don’t hope for luck. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for blessing me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, in Christ Jesus. I don’t lack anything good because all things are mine. Thank you, Lord, for you have the right people to help me, at the right time, and in the right places, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Deuteronomy 28:3-6; Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. 6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. Jeremiah 29:11; For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 1 Corinthians 3:21; Therefore let no man glory in men. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FREE JUNE PDF => https:///2HHaRNN) TWO ASPECTS OF THE CHRIST-LIFE . Thursday, June 13th . Pastor Chris For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). There’re two aspects of the Christ-life: the legal and the vital aspects. These two aspects are illustrated in our theme verse. The legal aspect refers to all that we are, all that we have, all that we can do, and our position, rank and authority as granted us in Christ. We read that God gave His Son and says whosoever believes in Him should not perish. That’s a legal declaration. Then, the verse concludes by stating what you would have upon believing in Him: “everlasting life.” To have everlasting life is the second part, which is the vital aspect of the Christ-life. The vital aspect of the Christ-life refers to all that the Holy Spirit has done or is doing in your spirit, soul and body through the Word, developing you after the image of Christ and the Father. This vital aspect is activated by your confession. Meaning, it only works when you affirm it. The legal aspect, on the other hand, gives you authority. You acknowledge the Word and act accordingly, because it’s about being informed of what belongs to you, who you are, and your inheritance in Christ. Now, without an understanding of these two aspects, there can be a mix-up, just as many have done. They haven’t been able to differentiate between the legal and the vital, and so, they’re unable to apply the Word rightly. For example, divine health belongs to you; it’s not something to struggle for in prayer, trying to “claim.” It’s legally yours now; it’s not with God or the devil. However, you make it vitally yours through your confession of the Word. Praise God! CONFESSION Dear Father, I take advantage of all that you’ve done for me as a result of the vicarious death of Jesus, and I acknowledge the benefits of His glorious resurrection in my life and all that it means to me. I’m healthy, vibrant, prosperous and victorious every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: || Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. || || Philemon 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. || DAILY SCRIPTURE READING 1-Year Bible Reading Plan=> Acts 4:1-31 & 2 Chronicles 16-19 2-Year Bible Reading Plan=> Luke 1:26-38 & Deuteronomy 11 Act Now!!!
