Depends on the kind of wedding that was conducted. If twas in a registry / church you have to get a lawyer and apply for a divorce at the high court of the state where you're based. The lawyer will put you through.

If you did traditional; based on your custom you must return the bride price back to the groom's family and if any paper was issued like a marriage certificate you can take that to a customary court in the area you live for the marriage to be properly dissolved and issues like child custody to be dealt with.

If Islamic ask from your clerics for proper procedure. If in the north just head to the sharia court in your locality and apply for dissolution.

Assuming your marriage certificate is not with you but you have a photocopy or even if not, go to the registry where the wedding took place and ask for a CTC which has the same effect as an original and take that to court for the divorce. But it's best you engage a lawyer who will do the work.

I also used a manual pump, brand name is Lansinoh and it was really good. You can get on Jumai (I think), I probably saw it on there last year. Medela is also very good and spectra too. If you have anyone visiting from the states before you deliver, you might have to discuss with them, get their approval and shop online and ship to their address so they will bring it for you.

Enfamil, Aptamil, Similac, SMA, NAN are good choices depending on ur pocket. My lo has been on Aptamil since birth. Get between 5 and 8 bottles. It all depends on your pocket too. You can decide to get more. Tommee tippee, Avent are popular and good brands here in Lagos. I hear Avent now have a lot of fakes in the market so watch out

Thanks! But how do I differentiate fake from real? Also saw some not too popular name brand at pep store. How will I know which is original and can I pick any sizes e.g. fat/short or slim/tall? Don't mind my adjectives

Hi mommas. What infant milk did you start baby with either because of delayed breastmilk or no lactation? And what kind/number of feeding bottles can a first time mum purchase either for expressing or infant milk.

I use washing machine to wash my kids cloths. I use ariel (one for washing machine), not always sha, atimes I use normal ariel. I reset to rinse it twice (not religiously). No qualms so far.

I bought breast pump but never used it.

Detergents safe enough for cloth diapers (which cover the most tender part of skin) are safe for clothes. Baby care setting on washing machines are pretty rough. Also, most LG machines in Nigeria, I'm not crazy about their quality.

Paed Dermatologists don't like them and even countries that manufactured them don't recommend them anymore for babies. It's a pain to rinse out and can irritate baby skin and the fragrance in some also causes issues to baby.

Brands that are good are Medela, Spectra, Evenflo. However, I don't see those brands often in Nigeria so perhaps I will do a poll for the Mums here to help me answer. HtH

Hallo mommas! Trust that the day went well? I have a couple of questions. When washing New born clothes which is preferable? Hand wash or machine wash? And wat kind of detergent can one use for either that is baby skin friendly? I mean clothes just bought from the market; not been worn by baby yet?

Also could you please recommend an affordable breast pump I can buy? Is the manual an option at all?

What milk is advIsable to buy esp before bosom starts to flow rather than glucose?

Why not go to a nearby pharmacy and get the drugs or if you don't want to buy; go back to your hospital and complain? The highest that happened to me was two days before antenatal so I just waited to get a refill

and i was seriously contemplating complaining to doc about the size but yours has reassured me. I'm 31weeks and feel my bump is small. In fact told the doc last time that baby doesn't kick as such though I feel movement regularly. Dyu think it's connected to bump size; wats your own experience?

first of all check your height and that of ur hubby and also other grandchildren In your family.
That will determine the sizes of cloth to buy. My kids don't wear 0-3 months ajasco(pijamas pinipini) because of their height. Unles it is very long. All the 0-3 month clothes I bought I just gave them out to other mums. So for u not to be stranded and letting other peoples choice become yours buy 0-3months 4 and 3-6months 4 pieces.
Buy at least 3singlets cos they will need it to wear trousers and shirt
Buy more of the short sleeve pinipini(onesie) lets say 5pieces. Then buy at least 4socks and mittens and buy at least 6caps 3cotten materials 3made of wool.
As for the diaper changing mat it is very important cos my lo only like to poop and pee as soon as you remove his diaper. U can get a small one that can fit into any bag.
Then u need a small bag that can contain the diaper changing mat, wipes, a few diapers, jelly(Vaseline) paracetamol, vit c, and baby oil for his head. It is necessary cos u
If u have a visitor u can't leave your baby and go and start looking for thing so it should be portable enough so that an order child can always help u get it at any time.
Note that when buying things buy unisex colors so that you can use them for other kids.

I wore my son a shoe I bought for the sister when she was a baby and my daughter started laughing at me that I used to dress her brother like a girl cos the shoe is pink.

Then buy a dozen of face towel, and a set of baby towel.

Hi, please i had been taking Septrin and piriton for some days now and i am 1 month prenant. Is it safe for the baby �. The exact Septrin I took is Tecotrim 960mg. I took it 1 twice daily because of my dry cough.
I am scared for my life.
Also on the folic acid, should it be taken twice daily.
What about Vitamin B-complex.?
I took that too twice daily.

Were these drugs prescribed by a doctor? If yes then hopefully they are safe. If not, can't say bout Septrin but I was prescribed piriton several times in pregnancy so that one is okay. But you should realise that drugs in 1st trimester is based on the need of mum versus effect on baby.

Try to see a doctor if you haven't already. Consider natural remedies such as boiled ginger+garlic with honey.

Folic acid 400mcg is once a day

Hi mums! Happy sallah and happy Sunday! Went baby shopping yesterday and was quite overwhelmed. Especially bout clothes and gears. I need help!!!
1. I bought sleepsuits and body suits 0-3months (7) in no. Is that okay for a start? If not how many

2. What other kind of clothes can I buy? Are onesies different from the above? Then top and trousers or shorts, how many to start with.

3. Is there a specific make of towels or kind? Bot a 3-in-1 for 1900. But don't particularly like the fluffiness. Want to buy a better quality but unsure.

4. I bot a pack of 4-in-1receiving blanket. Is that okay? And is it different from burp cloth? I asked but was not given a different one.

5. Apart from bouncer what other gear is necessary for New born e.g. carrier, car seat. Don't want to buy without need initially.

6. Would appreciate prices and if possible shops where I can get these items in Lagos.

7. SOrry for the plenty queries but I'm as lost as can be and just moved to lag.

Angel wipe is good, but I think it has pef. Bin long I used it so I can't really remember.
I bought the Molfix comfort fix (size 2)mini. Its for babies between 3-6kg. I don't really know how small/big it is cos I have not opened the pack. But I was told that what most mamas buy.
Bouncer/rocker is English . Rocker is better biko. Bought mine 2015 at 11k plus. Don't know the current price.
