Please march mommas and others who can help out. What's best medication for sore throat at this stage. I've been doing home remedies for two days now, no response. It's really uncomfortable. Thanks!

Good evening mamas... this evening my baby climbed a side stool and reached for the cotton bud kept on a table and pierced her ear with it, I only ran to her when I heard her cry out so loud and saw the thing in her ear, when I brought it out I saw little blood on the cotton bud then I gave paracetamol for the pain, right now I can see dried blood in her ear, please any other person experienced something like this?? Is it a serious something? Do we have to head to the hospital tonight or is there something I can give? I am confused

Sorry about that. I'm also battling this climbing dilemma but if she's in no obvious pain, u could observe her tonight and see a doc 2mrw. These our babies are just too wonderful

I hope we decide within a few days and I can plan accordingly. I just can't shake off how happy my Dad will be to have us there (esp with the baby)... that only complicates the decision for me.

If possible, take her along. Esp if it'll be a private vehicle if by road. It might be costlier but you will be more comfy and can regulate any issues unlike a public vehicle. You just take precautions when you get there as to her feeding, clothing and interactions with strangers. It's just for a few days and dad will 've super glad.

Good afternoon mamas, I have 2 crèche on mind and I'm at a crossroad on which to pick.

1. It's opposite my house and it's a new school, although they have school elsewhere. they just built this annex in my street. The last time I checked there, they don't have any baby in crèche yet, and few pupils in other classes.

2. It's close to my house too as the street is behind us. The day I checked there, they have about 7 children in their crèche.

Hubby prefers the ones with children, he said DS will have friends to interact with.

Please mamas which one is better?

I'd rather a new creche any day. .. all facilities are new, better attention from care givers etc... kids will start coming small small. Just be a bit patient and you can recommend to others too.

i'll suggest you keep trying the ginger... and as a mama suggested you take a break from the creche.. kids easily gets sick in the midst of other kids. Sorry about the ailment. He'll be fine.

Have you tried giving ginger to your baby? Ginger has a very high benefits in cases like this. In your baby's pap/ogi blend ginger in it, in any other food put ginger. It'll help cure/relieve your baby from that. that's what has kept my baby from such ailment.

I wish your baby speed recovery.

I've always blended his pap with ginger just little quantity though and when the cough started again I have him ginger and honey but it didn't really help.

Sorry dear. My dd coughs a lot too, their paed said is bronchial something, can't remember and is hereditary but will outgrow it before 10years. We don't sleep with AC on again, I don't do steam Inhalation for her, I fry once in a while and she mustn't be around even dust or fuel triggers it. I don't fleet again even if I want to, I do that in the morning when nobody is around and I always leave with my son so he won't inhale it too cos I don't know if he has it too.
I've Ascorex, Vit c and ibuprofen always in my house which was prescribed by the paed.
I believe she'll outgrow it one day.

Hmmmm, that creche get as it be oh. He just started in October oh though it's been worse since he joined but I have no alternative for now. Can't leave him with my maid and no close family around. This holidays sha, I will keep him with me and observe. Thanks!

Moms I'm tired and helpless. Teary even. For the past couple of months we've been battling cough and cataarh. My baby is 15months. Lifeline children's hospital is our go to clinic. In fact they know us there. I've had to buy nebulizer mask cos they constantly Do It for him every time we go there. My poor baby's cough is so deep and I feel so much for him. Don't know what to do again. As wary as they are against prescribing anti biotic there, they invariably have to. We've taken all sorts and kinds. Today now they've prescribed inhaler for him. Don't know te triggers again.

I've stopped regular fan/a.c. usage, in fact hubby moved outta the room for us claiming its too stuffy. I avoid him being around wen cooking things like soup or pepper or using cleaning agents and mosquitoes spray as much as possible. I've informed them at creche too upon that we're still here.

How old is she? We used the tablet when my dd was about 5 months old.. there is this table water we use , nestle table water (with green cover), it contains zinc and we were told it will prevent stolling and believe me since we have been using it she has not had an episode of stooling sonce she was 5 or 6 months old..

This is the water I've been buying for baby since birth and no incidence of stooling. . .Just started with the blue one now though cos it comes in big bottles

Reading through, seems like I'm one of the few that didnt Have B'feeding withdrawal. Here's how it went, by 11months, I was already TIRED of waking up EVERY night to b'feed but the boy seemed addictery once in a while, I would refuse to get up and allow him cry himself to sleep then i stopped b'feeding during the day and would stuff him with cereal if he was acting testy. At night I would make formula if he starts crying but he would refuse most times. Of course his daddy also suffered through it because the cry nor be here. Then I started feeding him late like 10:30/11pm. Even if he's asleep I'll feed him like that. Before I could even process it, the boy started sleeping through the night and that's how we weaned at 11months.
but one interesting thing, I never experienced engorged breasts or any such side effects. Maybe because i didn't plan to stop abruptly or that's my own body system.after a few weeks, I tried to test him but he was not interested again

Thanks mama. Amen. This man treats mostly with fruits ,veggies and small herbs. After my cousin lost her first baby cos of fibroid, he took care of the 2nd pregnancy from the first trimester to the 2nd before she registered for antenatal. He's educated but quite expensive.

HMO paid for mine but I asked the receptionist and he said its 2,600 . Price depends on location.

Scan price at clinix depends on how many weeks/trimester you're. They'll ask you if you were referred, then fill a form, which trimester then the price.

How soon can I give my baby sachet water. She's 8 month. I noticed she attracted to sachet water and I gave her once to test. She drank a lot, unlike when I give her with her bottle, she only takes very little. I've not given her since then though.. But satchet water dare not pass in front of her eyes.

I think a lot of babies do that mine inclusive. Though he drinks only bottled water but he must not see you with pure water satchel so what I do is leave a little for him to drink so he's system will start to get used to it. Little by little till he joins us in drinking it rather than bottled water.he's 13 months now and this started from when he was 11

Just continue feeding him. And also wake him up at intervals to eat esp when he has slept for long. My baby was 2.95kg at birth and on NAN And bm and by 6wks he was almost 5kg and continued that way progressively. So just perserve, he'll add weight

Good morning mums! Please for mums that weigh 85kg and above and are pregnant, when did u start to feel baby move? It's my second baby and I'm 18weeks+ and wondering if my belly weight is the problem?

apply lemon juice on face once daily wash off while bathing
For scrub, i use lemon juice mixed with baking powder and sugar into a paste to scrub once a week
Gently clean your face with cotton wool dipped in coconut oil at bedtime
I use black soap although I mix it with coconut water and honey. Aloevera juice is good too
For cream DH7 complexion milk
Note: I have 2 coconut and 3 lemon trees in my compound that make it easy for me though

Once formula is introduced I read that warm water is necessary to prevent constipation.

I did my first scan at 7weeks just to confirm that all is well. Registered at 14 weeks cos of hmo. I put a few drops of lemon in cold water to make it easier to drink.
