Thanks mama; very helpful. What r the handkerchiefs for? What about wipes and how many diapers did you pack? |

hunniesuzie: Well I pack 2 extra although he typically uses 1. The other one is incase of poo/food accidents
For the expressed milk only put the quantity he can finish at once in a bottle. If that 250ml is 2 feeds then separate it. You want to ensure as minimal contact with your baby's food as possible Thanks! this is very helpful |

hunniesuzie: Hi
1. Depends on the temperature of the creche (AC 24/7 or not) but a bodysuit is fine. He's going to mostly be playing like he does during the day at home
Side trip: a creche with AC 24/7 is not a good idea so you don't deal with catarrh everyday
2. I suggest you start mirroring whatever your feeding pattern will be now so you can know how many bottles you need. Do you plan to express breastmilk for him?
3. Remove from water and keep in the bag. Bottle remains sterile until it's opened for use Thanks mama. So how many extra body suits do I pack? I plan to express. Possibly bout 220-250ml which would be in one feeding bottle. |

Compliments of the season mums. I have some creche related questions. 1. What is the appropriate wear for creche for a 4months old? Is bodysuit okay? Or regular shorts and shirts i.e. outing clothes? How many changes of clothes should be packed?
2. How many feeding bottles can I pack? Since they'll make the formula when he needs it? Right now we do 150ml formula after morning bath then breastfeeding through out the day on demand .. how many formula feeding do I pack until 5pm?
3. I sterilize using Milton tablet in a bucket of water; how can dat work with creche? Except I remove the bottles from the water and keep unsterilized in his diaper bag?
P.S. Still on the lookout for creche in aguda surulere area
Thanks! |

HolySteph: Still on the shopping matter..
Good morning mamas. Pls help me o! On my hospital list for baby, there is glucose in the list thats incase breastmilk doesn't flow immediately but in our antenatal classes the midwife told us not to use glucose for our baby bcus of the sugar content in it, that baby is so tender to start taking in sugar substance like that, so it brought to my question if formula is preferable and doesn't have sugar in it(as in is it as pure as breastmilk?). I'm doing my shopping I want to know the necessary one to get. Thank you as I anticipate your replies. I think you should buy both as they have their usefulness. My hosp does not believe in glucose either so we started with formula from day 1. We later gave him glucose after a couple of days cos my mom believes it helps reduce and jaundice traits. You can also take the glucose. Plus you might be lucky and bm starts flowing immediately and you won't need either. All the best |

Hi moms; I need advice. I want to buy a baby carrier. However the size limit is 11kg. My bobo is 6.1 kg @10weeks+. Not sure of the financial sense in purchasing one cos he might outgrow it soon? But we have some travel ahead of us and I would need to carry him around. @ airports and different waka when we reach our destination. He'd getting quite heavy for me to just be logging around. My arms tire fast. What dyu suggest biko? Should I just close eye and buy? Or would he have passed 11kg even by 6months @ this rate?
Please share growth rate experience |

@sallyopy I remember when I came on board here. Probably Feb or March; I wondered when the journey would end. I was a few weeks into it and every day someone would announce BA September seemed so far away. My dear. My baby is 11 weeks 2mrw. I now wonder where all the time went to. So just savour the moment. Enjoy pregnancy and before you know it you'll be announcing your BA. I actually miss being pregnant sometimes. |

beautifulrosa: Hello mas, how Una dey?
Pls I av a few questions. First, which is the best sanitary pad to buy in preparation for child birth. Which brand of baby clothes are considered very durable.
Has anyone bought new born clothes from pep stores before? Are they good enof?
Thanks Sanitary pad for delivery which they ask for in most hospitals is ladysept. I think I used 2 in the hospital and the remainder at home for post delivery bleeding. Brands: Carters; George; mothercare etc The pep store brand is cuddlesome and they're quite lovely. I bought a no of newborn clothes there and bobo gets compliments. They r also not so pricey and they have variety. |
